  • Finally, the day has come to visit Taiwan! I have had layovers on this small island nation that is unofficially, officially apart of China which is basically a stones throw away. I was surprised by the pristine nature and beauty of the highways that intertwine and penetrate mountains all throughout the city and the elaborate web of highways ( kind of a pain to navigate). All in all I enjoyed the trip and other than the food poisoning I got it I enjoyed the food as well. Luckily I was not in Taiwan when the earthquake happened! Enjoy !

Welcome to Taiwan where is definitely a multicultural country. Start from capital Taipei where is with good public transportation, and if you already rent a car, enjoy your trip maybe to coastlines or a bit countryside where you can see more diversity such as indigenous culture , phenomenal landscape and some sort of spiritual events you already experienced.

you don't need to be the enemy of China, as long as you consider yourself Chinese. Taiwan, being part of China, as assured by the One Country Two Systems, can be itself as long as it needs. We just want China being China, as affirmed in Cairo Declaration and Potsdam Proclaimation, however it's really not up to us.

Hi Taiwan is not China's biggest enemy, a lot people there have families and friends in the mainland, they are brothers and sisters putting aside the politics.
