11 years... I can't believe it's been that long. I'm glad I've upgraded since it, but I'm also glad I did have it when I started making stuff.
Default settings are very MEH... but if you manually change some of the settings you can get a decent image out of it. I lowered the brightness, uped the Sharpness(to like 170-190) disabled auto's and made sure I had enough lighting and it looks better then MEH its looks pretty good. Also if people would get he C930e buisness version with the Carl Zeiss lens instead of a plastic one it also has a wider view angle and its usually cheaper, or was when I got mine

The default settings are bad but with decent lighting and some tweaks to the settings especially with some mods this webcam can produce some insane image quality for that price range.
And the different versions are the same webcam it's just that some come with a privacy thingy, 3 month to some software etc.
I love mine! It's awesome. People tell me the quality is great every once in a while. It's my main webcam since I keep my laptop closed at my desk

Yeah it was a great upgrade. I tried a few BUDGET webcams and they were well BAD. This one was a good upgrade at a decent price and been pretty solid so far.

You can use Webcams for body tracking in VR. But it's best to have 2 or more. 4 would be the best. I forget the program name.
the best update of this cam is that they shorten the cable 2 times allready.. everything is the like shit since years ago.. i own 5 different versions of it.. don´t ask why!

I’d just use my phone webcam
One of the big reasons Logitech outshines a lot of products, its drivers a lot of the time are native, meaning they support, Linux, OSX, Windows, and even system Bio's, Yup including those webcams. Logitech is the OEM for SOOO many manufacturers its extremely common to just have their products plug and 100% play.

honestly? I got mine for like 5 at a Goodwill, it works fine.
I wish I got the C920x, since that has a higher frame rate. I'm not mad I got the normal one though. It can look great in a controlled area
I bought it, and I have remorse. The low-light sensor is inferior... in dark rooms it looks terrible. Almost no software aside from Google Meet and Skype support 60fps, so you can't even use the full framerate. Useless for streaming, acceptable for recording.
@@wyattarich In hindsight, I probably should have gotten to Logitech Brio 4K, for its HDR support, since I have LEDs behind me that are constantly getting blown out.
That said I feel like even though it's super popular, the entire C920 is really underrated. You can make it look awesome with the right OBS settings!

Just use your phone as a web cam and save 50 bucks or buy a 50 dollar mic like the Razer mini.

I have this camera
for 65 dollars you can get the Nexigo N660P, which has better dynamic range and 1080p 60fps video, instead of just 30fps...
for the funny
just get an old 2nd hand phone and connect it with any of the webcam apps... it would be cheaper and you would get a better camera quality
get an aukey lm1e. does 1080p at 30 fps for just $15. the video quality is comparable to the c920

if you need SOMETHING then just use your phone, it has probably a pretty good image quality and is much better than any webcam.
