Outstanding watch. I started my collection with my Orient Ray II. I don't really have a dress watch per se. But the Bambino would fit that niche for me. Great intro as always.
I know a lot of people are taking points off because of the 21mm strap. But I think the extra coolness you get with an extra wide strap is more than worth the inconvenience. It's like buying an American muscle car and having thin bias ply tires on it. Just doesn't cut it. I'm going to buy this watch in the white dial. Reminds me of my Timex marlin I had as a kid. Love the look.
@@WatcheswithGeorge I just received my watch from Amazon all the way to Taiwan. Came here with free shipping and only took a week. Can't say how much I love the look and feel of this watch. It just exudes quality. About the leather strap...I love it. The width really matches the case size and the leather smell reminds me of a really high end leather shop. It smells that nice. Wasn't expecting that. No only do I love to look at the watch, I also love to smell it. I can't get over how quiet this watch is. I have a mint shape Timex marlin from 1964 (one of the originals) and still looks like new old stock. All the electroplating gold still like the day it was made in the UK. Like it says on the dial. Anyway that little timex has a big heart and it ticks so loud I can hear it at arm's length in a quiet room. I wanted to keep it in good shape since the previous owners never wore it. I'm going to wear it from time to time. But this Orient Bambino is going to be my daily workhorse and it feels just as nice as the marlin. Just a tad bigger, but I like it...no....love it. Take care and thanks for the great review. Ken from Taiwan
This is really nice. Almost bought one many times. I wouldnt ever go for the version 4 because of its size. I dont like dressy watches over 40mm. Another good review
Excellent review. Really like these watches. I also still have an older model Orient Tristar with the older non hacking movement and it works great. It has a 19mm so as weird as the 21mm on this one!!
Ha... Thanks for the comment .. The beautiful thing about this hobby is that you can love a watch no matter the price or the age! Thanks again for watching!
Hey there! Thanks for the comment. this sis the model. www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B071WW7SLZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1 and I believe it's the charcoal grey dial.
@@WatcheswithGeorge hey thank you very much. Also thanks for your great Review. I bought the same watch but the white Version for my dad and he is very happy with it.
I have this in blue 2nd gen its formulas I have a lot of watches but this stands out way better than the micro brands its a touch of class so just the opposite of me as my wife says but even she loves this watch so for once I have good taste I am waiting for all my other fashion mistakes to come back into fashion I estimate 2099
It’s the new Seiko! Kinda ironic that Seiko is part of Orient and still Seiko can’t make a solid watch with a good price like the Orient line up. Don’t get me wrong I really like Seiko watches, but lately they have been increasing the prices and not getting much in return. Anyways thanks for the review. 👍
I think it is a great watch except for the hands - I find them bit unrefined compared to the rest of the watch. If the hands were as elegant as the dial, it would be perfect!
@@Dr_Doe Hey .. thanks for the comment. If you look at it this way.. it's a movement made by Orient and put in a watch that carries the Orient name, I think that we got so used to the fact that an inhouse movement should be made by hand by a company that offer watches for thousands .That's my view on it ! Thanks again
@@Dr_Doe at equal or below 100$ many Chinese brands offer Citizen/Myiota 82** series or NH35 movements. I don't see the point of an in-house movement at this price, it's not better than those two

Nice review mate.I completely agree with you about the lug width though. It's so annoying when companies do that.
Another great review George. Very interesting and informative video as always👍👍

A decent watch, but way too overrated by now
Hey .. thanks for the comment. Yes but to be honest you can't do any better for around 100 dollars!
@@WatcheswithGeorge of course not, if you look only at European and Japanese watches. But some Chinese brands could do better
Chinese don't offer in-house movements, except probably Sea-Gull, and they're not cheap.
