Incredibly high quality tutorial. Vishnu has a special way of being able to describe things that seem so complex at first in a way that makes them feel so simple. As someone who's just getting into Blender and 3D Modeling, this short tutorial was able to teach me so much about not just cables, but other functions of Blender that I had heard about but had no idea how they worked. First ,convert the 'Curve' object to a 'Mesh' , and after that you can easy assign different materials to each cable

Having an issue, when I convert the cables to mesh to color the individual cables I lose the option to make a rope-like animation with the cable since it's no longer a curve. Please help...

@2:45 I thought Vishnu said hit control+E and then i listened again and thought it was Control+D but after nothing happened on blender I then listened again and realised he actually said Control+T --if anyone has the same problem.

What's CTRL D? It's CTRL T to twist the cables :)
