BANDMAID IS FROM ANOTHER PLANET………………….MAKE THAT ANOTHER UNIVERSE! They have brought so much joy into my life that it’s impossible to put into words! UNBELIEVABLE!
One of the strongest attractors of Band Maid is their genuine sense of fun and joy when onstage. Their friendship and closeness is authentic and they love playing for their fans!💪🏻🤘🏻
What you've written applies even more to Gacharic Spin than to Band Maid. Their stage presence is amazing and full of energy and fun. All of the members are incredible musicians and real friends. But Band Maid's songs are much better. That's why Band Maid is number one for me.
BAND-MAID "Onset" (live / 2018Apr13 Zepp Tokyo) "Play" (live / 2020Feb14 LINE QUBE Shibuya) LOVEBITES (Japanese all female heavy metal band in gorgeous white dresses) "Holy war", "Raise some Hell" (live / 2020Feb21 Zepp DiverCity Tokyo) ASTERISM (18 years old Japanese female guitarist HAL-CA plays unbelievable crazy good) "Rising Moon" (official MV) "JUMP" (with respect for EVH one take studio shooting)
Band-Maid are 5 happy Ninjas, kicking asses and taking names! Best live band in the world today. You should react to a band called The Warning! They are 3 teenage sisters from Mexico that ROCK. They have a lot of cross-over fans with Band-Maid.
You pretty much said it. They are so good at what they do that it's second nature and probably have more fun than the fans. Akane is the happiest drummer that I have ever seen. Their interaction with each other is a joy to watch. Watch the solo again and watch Miku pumping her fist cheering for Akane during her solo. It is fantastic seeing a group of musicians that looks like they genuinely love and care for each other.
That is the Band Maid Trick: First they get You with being Cute then You Klick their Video and then You realize they are actually REALLY talented musicians
My favorite moment is the pride in Kanami's eyes when she sits and watches her student shine. She just sits there and smiles! This is happy-making music and one of very few things that helped me through 2020 - Band-Maid, Nightwish and Lovebites. And those bands are all thanks to reactors such as yourself. So thank you for making 2020 bearable for me.
hi, thank you for nice reaction. Besides you are the one of few people who sees this Band Maid is very strong and nice form of female enpowerment. They are even heavier, faster, tougher than any men. Or they could not be bettet than male bands and accepted. Such struggle makes them strongger than any band on the earth. Still charming behind tbeir outfit though, Thank you again !
Band Maid is just the best there is! Try one of their ballads like "Daydreaming" or "Wonderland" they are so versatile and musically gifted it's ridiculous! 🎶🎸🥁🎸🎶🔥🙂
They do make you feel good! It helps that they are good friends off stage ! They actually like to play tricks on each other on stage, like when Akani, the lead guitarist took a seat on a monitor when Miku, who, incidentally ,is her guitar student, had her solo and was making faces to try to get her to laugh and throw off her game. Their enthusiasm is contagious!
Bandmaid is amazing. Akane can drum like a beast. Jimmy Paige went saw Bandmaid live and he was so impressed with her drumming that he had to meet her after the show...That says a lot when you get that kind of endorsement from a true legend like that.
I love that you can feel by listening to this band that they don't just play their instruments with their mind they play them with their entire soul and heart and also the Song is about making your own decisions that your life is yours to decide what you want and take the freedom that comes with it (and that is what they do since they play in this band at least that's what you get from the translation) My next Recommendation would be Play Live Music Video and Wonderland Live Music Video
Thanks nice video. Saiki's double teeth! We call it's "YAEBA" in Japan. That is kind of charm point in Japan. also dimple on the cheek "EKUBO" is very cute point too!! those are one of old culture in Japan. Saiki stopped fix it because Kanami (guitar) very love it. I heard that on the radio program before. I'm old Japanese rock fun. Yes Girls are so cute and talented!! Thanks and Enjoy BAND-MAID!! ( ^ ^ )
The quality of all female bands from Japan is phenomenal. Band-Maid are way ahead of the rest I think. Their interaction with each other, with the audience and just the pure quality of music in every one of their tracks is so joyful. Rock/Pop they frankly can do anything. I have followed music from the Sixties so am way too old to be smiling at music that is just such a pleasure to listen to.
Just Jen I know I’m talking a lot, but....there is a symphonic metal supergroup with 4 female vocalists. Exit Eden. They have done a cover of Total Eclipse of the Heart. That is secretly my FAVORITE song. Ever. They blew me away. Those operatic voices took it to another level. This took me out of my bad place after hearing about Alexi Laiho. Just. awesome.
Those are called "yaeba teeth" or Double Teeth. Sometimes it's natural. But they are considered attractive in Japan. So sometimes dentists encourage the patients to grow that way, or even implant false ones. They really deliver on their concerts. I went to one last year and it was over two hours long. I'm going to suggest 'Real Existence' LIVE next.
Yea I'm an old rocker waiting on some new rock that never comes. But when I came across Band Maid live I got sucked in, and can't get enough of them. The cohesiveness of them and how much fun they have. 😱 Check out Onsite live.
I love Band Maid, everytime when i listend there Music i began to Smile Miku and Kanami on Gitarre, Misa on Bass, Akane on Drums and Saiki Vocals. And Lovebites another great Female Band from Japan is the same. There are a lot of very good Female Bands in Japan for example Mary´s Blood or Nemophila. Great Music from Japan!
More all female bands for you to react to: Love Bites, Aldious, Gacharic Spin, Dolls Box, Mary's Blood, Scandal and there are a bunch of others. These, of course, are just the Japanese bands. Band Maid is my favorite group of the bunch though. When they all gathered with the drummer (Akane) they were goofing around trying to throw off her timing. If you look at her you'll see the goofy face she gives them when they leave. If you watch any of the audience videos you'll see all kinds of interaction between them. Most of the pro shots don't do that so much. Miku (rhythm GTR and lyrics) started the band based on the Maid Cafe concept and the gap between the appearance of the group vs. the music they play.; She contacted Kanami (GTR and music composition) who contacted Akane (drums) who in turn contacted Misa (bass and referred to as the barefoot assassin as she doesn't wear shoes when playing on stage. She also drinks on stage during the shows). Miku was originally going to be the vocalist but felt her voice wasn't strong enough for the music so she and the management had Saiki (vocals) try out and the rest is history. They formed in 2013 and Thrill was their very first video. They were almost going to stop but the video blew up on RUclips and one thing has led to another. Miku didn't know how to play guitar when the group started because, as I said, she was going to be the vocalist. She was taught by Kanami and now plays very good rhythm guitar. She still didn't know how to play when Thrill was filmed. Watch Rinne (the MV not the live version as it was made for TV and it was cut way, way down), Play from this same concert, After Life is very good and the latest on RUclips. Dice is very good as an introductory piece. Well, almost anything they've put out is good. They don't have a bad song.
Band maid is the kind of group you stick in a room nobody knows and they come out superfans. Seriously they are that good & to think here. They've flown under the radar for so many years. Really is a testament to their perseverance & drive for perfection. But thing that strikes me the most about bandMaid. They completely fly the face of the establishment. Showing that girls can definitely Rock if given the opportunity. BabyMetal has definitely opened Pandora's Box here. Rock on Ladies!!! 🤟🔥🎸🔥
I think you might be one of the few to pick up on the first watch that misa the bassist is smiling and acting goofy to the drummer akane. Normally on stage she’s very stoic and cool but all these girls are so goofy with each other that freedom lets them really be themselves.
Heeeey Jen. Welcome to the Band-maid Vortex of Awesomeness... Can't go back! Music is awesome, their 'having fun' performance is awesome and... bam! AA!!KA!!!NEE!! Just blew your mind with that solo, huh? Mine too.. everytime I watch it. Kanami's guitar skills are also unbelieveable. Then Misa's beautiful bass.... and Miku.. aaah, Miku. She's soooo Kawaii singing that part. Awesome video! Next? Onset live.. maybe Play live... or both!
In Japan it is perceived as a sign of youthfulness and natural beauty and is called "double tooth". Su- Metal from babymetal was the same but had hers fixed
Just woke up here in Wales, UK, and what do I get for breakfast? Jen reacting to Band-Maid! Breakfast of champions! I saw Zeppelin live in 1979 and than waited 40 years for the next "Best live Rock band on Earth" to come along - worth waiting for! They are indeed the happiest band ever as well as being one of the most musically skilled. So glad you've discovered them and are loving every single thing about them and can't wait for more. Try having a look at some of the close up fan cams on YT of their shows in the states and in Europe. Miku - the ridiculously gorgeous rhythm guitarist and founder of the band - always gives a half-time speech to the audience which is worth seeing as it gives a real insight into the friendship they all share. Here's a link where she does it while the other band members play around on the drums - it's cuteAF: ruclips.net/video/x6iSf73LiQ0/видео.html . Oh, and here's a link to Kanami, real up close and personal with the audience, channelling her inner Hendrix and her hero Carlos Santana and getting totally into the zone on her PRS (you can see why that guitar company throw free guitars at her all the time! : ruclips.net/video/2bJXFFAqifU/видео.html .
And before that, Kanami had (has?) her signature guitar line with Addictone, which travels separately which saved her during their last US tour in 2019 when her PRS got misdirected by the airline for awhile. Yeah, amazing guitarists can get special treatment from guitar makers, and Kanami is on a level somewhere in the stratosphere!
If you'd need another proof how happy they are together, at 5:34 you can spot the two guitarists cheering for the drummer down in the left corner in the shadows 😊

Another reactor, Julia Nilon (probably misspelled) referred to them as "musical bad asses"... These ladies are amazing... Akane Hirose, Drums; Misa, Bass Backing vocals; Miku Kobato 2nd Vocals. 2nd Guitar; Saiki Atsumi, Lead Vocals; Kanami, Lead Guitar (this girl can absolutely shred) And I have Mega Respect for all of them! And like a true Seaman (exnavy), I'm in love with each of them. Keep digging, you won't be disappointed. Two other Japanese Rock groups for you: Love Bites (all girl band, sings in english; one of the girl guitarists, is also a concert pianist (by training). And Wagaki Band: fusion of contemporary rock/metal and traditional Japanese instruments... note: only two females in the band... how many do you think you see? LOL!
Peter . Hi Jen , " Onset " is a great instrumental show casing their musical talent . Loved your Nightwish Sunday . I fell down that rabbit hole a few months back . Another Symphonic metal band i love is EPICA from Holland . They are friends with Nightwish .
You are officially a MAIDIAC!!!!! On your own - because you neeeeeeed more Band Maid - Spotify Band Maid - look for FREEZER along with all the other album songs that do not have videos. It's not just their videos that Rock!
About the kind of people they are: From what I've gathered in interviews, they're pretty real. They come across as genuinely likeable and really caring. Examples: Kanami drying Saiki's tears and trying to comfort her when she was in agony from trying to sing with "nodes" that were on her vocal cords in August 2017 (she had surgery before they could continue concerts). The band brainstorming and implementing ways to reduce the strain on Saiki's voice after - more switchoffs between her and Miku on vocals for awhile, more instrumentals created, the awesome acoustic sub-sets during some concerts, more power instrumental work and solos, more Miku tunes like the cute and sexy "Rock in Me" - I think all these things followed Saiki's surgery and recovery. At an outdoor concert, Akane called out and beckoned to Saiki that it was time for them to go on. One problem: Saiki has a major phobia about insects, and she would have to cross a grassy area that had grasshoppers jumping whenever anyone walked through. She was backing up in horror. Akane (who by now knew her issue) saw what was happening, laughed and said she would come get her. And she did: Akane went over and carried her piggyback to the stage. Just did it. The love and humility made me respect her even more. Saiki's turn: during a concert, someone fell in the audience. Saiki stopped and asked if they were okay and watched them for a moment before continuing. Who does that? Band-Maid.
The Japanese idol industry is where young women are really mistreated. A few stories that came out in recent years cast a spotlight on how things are. Changes were promised, and some got through, but many of those promises were empty. Against those standards, female-led rock bands like Band-Maid are treated pretty well. There's no doubt they've had to work hard to get where they are, and it has been far from a case of overnight success. Miku has also said that the majority of their fans are outside Japan.
About 70% are non-Japanese, because online videos are what brought them most of their attention at first. Now there is still that, but I'd say today it's like 80% excited fans telling their friends.
Oddly enough this is not one of my favorite studio tracks, but it is one of my favorite live videos to watch. As you said it is the positive atmosphere. You can't watch this and not smile and feel better. Unless you are cold and dead inside. Aside from the incredible drum solo I just like watching Kanami. From singing with the crowd to sitting and watching Miku sing her verse to just smiling through the whole thing. Oh and her quite solo is not only great but watching her set up in her rock pose and then when you think she is done she gives a look and knods her head to the crowd like... oh and then there is this.. I usually gravitate towards bands that I connect with. That are like medicine for my soul. Band Maid is more like preventative maintenance. They keep me from getting ill. Rock on Just Jen! I am just a subscriber.
Kanami is a musical genius. She writes all the music then gives it to Akane and MISA to fine tune their respective parts then Miku and Saiki write the lyrics. They are some of the best musicians on the planet.

Their friendship and closeness is authentic and they love playing for their
fans!💪🏻🤘🏻
What you've written applies even more to Gacharic Spin than to Band Maid. Their stage presence is amazing and full of energy and fun.
All of the members are incredible musicians and real friends.
But Band Maid's songs are much better.
That's why Band Maid is number one for me.
BAND-MAID
"Onset" (live / 2018Apr13 Zepp Tokyo)
"Play" (live / 2020Feb14 LINE QUBE Shibuya)
LOVEBITES
(Japanese all female heavy metal band in gorgeous white dresses)
"Holy war", "Raise some Hell" (live / 2020Feb21 Zepp DiverCity Tokyo)
ASTERISM
(18 years old Japanese female guitarist HAL-CA plays unbelievable crazy good)
"Rising Moon" (official MV)
"JUMP" (with respect for EVH one take studio shooting)
That Smile of MISA the Bass Player at 3:59 is very Rare. She very very rarely smiles
Yeah, everything I've seen and heard in interviews supports that.
The 810-year old pigeon assembled the best live rock band on the planet...po...
Holy shit that drum solo
Amazing video btw Jen as always
That is the Band Maid Trick: First they get You with being Cute then You Klick their Video and then You realize they are actually REALLY talented musicians
My favorite moment is the pride in Kanami's eyes when she sits and watches her student shine. She just sits there and smiles! This is happy-making music and one of very few things that helped me through 2020 - Band-Maid, Nightwish and Lovebites. And those bands are all thanks to reactors such as yourself. So thank you for making 2020 bearable for me.
Actually I read the reason Kanami is "keeping an eye" on Miku is, the last time they performed the song Miku forgot her lyrics.
@@outwest1014 🤣🤣🤣 how can anyone not love them?
hi, thank you for nice reaction. Besides you are the one of few people who sees this Band Maid is very strong and nice form of female enpowerment. They are even heavier, faster, tougher than any men. Or they could not be bettet than male bands and accepted.
Such struggle makes them strongger than any band on the earth.
Still charming behind tbeir outfit though,
Thank you again !
On a bad day you need to listen to Band Maid...on a GREAT MORE Band Maid
I can second that!
One of the tightest bands I've seen in years. And they have a blast at the same time
Japanese female metal band Love bites is also good 👍
Bandmaid is amazing. Akane can drum like a beast. Jimmy Paige went saw Bandmaid live and he was so impressed with her drumming that he had to meet her after the show...That says a lot when you get that kind of endorsement from a true legend like that.
I love that you can feel by listening to this band that they don't just play their instruments with their mind they play them with their entire soul and heart and also the Song is about making your own decisions that your life is yours to decide what you want and take the freedom that comes with it (and that is what they do since they play in this band at least that's what you get from the translation)
My next Recommendation would be Play Live Music Video and Wonderland Live Music Video
That's what a band who all love each other looks like. And not better than most men. Better than everyone.
Energy, talent and loads of smiling, can't beat that!
Bandmaid just dropped a new mv and new album in a few days
Thanks nice video.
Saiki's double teeth! We call it's "YAEBA" in Japan. That is kind of charm point in Japan.
also dimple on the cheek "EKUBO" is very cute point too!! those are one of old culture in Japan.
Saiki stopped fix it because Kanami (guitar) very love it. I heard that on the radio program before.
I'm old Japanese rock fun. Yes Girls are so cute and talented!! Thanks and Enjoy BAND-MAID!! ( ^ ^ )
I remember Saiki said in a past interview that she would like to have double teeth orthodontics in the future.
Band Maid different
The quality of all female bands from Japan is phenomenal. Band-Maid are way ahead of the rest I think. Their interaction with each other, with the audience and just the pure quality of music in every one of their tracks is so joyful. Rock/Pop they frankly can do anything. I have followed music from the Sixties so am way too old to be smiling at music that is just such a pleasure to listen to.
exciting reaction thank you💗
BAND-MAID sound 極上⤴️⤴️⤴️☝️
Here so cute, but the cutest kittens have the sharpest claws. They’re awesome!
Thanks for being so amazing!
I'm going to suggest 'Real Existence' LIVE next.
cooooool
This january they'll play at Budukan Arena. Huge place huge crowd. Hoping live video coming up...

とても大好き💕👍
Yea I'm an old rocker waiting on some new rock that never comes. But when I came across Band Maid live I got sucked in, and can't get enough of them. The cohesiveness of them and how much fun they have. 😱 Check out Onsite live.
Having Teeth like Saiki is a sign of beauty in Japan.
AND, Band Maid is soooooooo under rated
When they all gathered with the drummer
(Akane) they were goofing around trying to throw off her timing.
Next? Onset live.. maybe Play live... or both!
AKANE set the internet on fire when this came out AWESOME . check out SCANDAL song called MASTERPIECE cya
switching artist " in this moment " above as below it's an extremely awesome song /hope you check it!
I love them! I just seen them 2 years ago at Sonic Temple!!!
In Japan it is perceived as a sign of youthfulness and natural beauty and is called "double tooth". Su- Metal from babymetal was the same but had hers fixed
Great review. Try Real Existence live. The guitar shredding is incredible
Oh wow! Okay will do!!
Check out Sokoninaru. Start with "Tenohira de Odoru" or "Re:program". Mind-blowing stuff.
MISA MISA MISA!
Lol your laugh is so viral Just Jen lol.. More Bando-Maido pO! /,,/
😊 awwwww thank you!!!
Trivia: Haruna Ono of SCANDAL also had the canine tooth thing, but got braces at 25. Different strokes for different folks.
❤️
And before that, Kanami had (has?) her signature guitar line with Addictone, which travels separately which saved her during their last US tour in 2019 when her PRS got misdirected by the airline for awhile. Yeah, amazing guitarists can get special treatment from guitar makers, and Kanami is on a level somewhere in the stratosphere!
Another good one is “Don’t let me down” for a bass vs lead guitar battle. If you like more female band check out Lovebites - “Holy War”
If you'd need another proof how happy they are together, at 5:34 you can spot the two guitarists cheering for the drummer down in the left corner in the shadows 😊
Your smile at 5:50 watching Akane laugh her ass off through that most kick-ass drum solo. Yeah, that's Band-Maid.
😊 they sure do help escape the perils of life, don’t they?
This Girls like a Tsunami, you see the Tsunami comes and you are waitung for it with a happy smile in your face😂😍😍
❤Miku❤❤Kanami❤❤Misa❤❤Akane❤❤Saiki❤
BAND-MAID They will break your heart and your ear drums. Then clean house!
Next? Try Onset, Play or YOLO. If you are into power ballets try Daydreaming.
Play from this same concert would be a good next song. Actually, any of the songs in their catalog would be great! Yolo, You Only Live Once, is a personal favorite! Band-Maid is just the best rock band on the planet at the moment, male or female!
LOL!
I SUBSCRIBED FOR YOUR EYES....AND ALSO FOR BAND MAID TOO!.
Peter . Hi Jen , " Onset " is a great instrumental show casing their musical talent .
Loved your Nightwish Sunday . I fell down that rabbit hole a few months back .
Another Symphonic metal band i love is EPICA from Holland . They are friends
with Nightwish .
You are officially a MAIDIAC!!!!!
On your own - because you neeeeeeed more Band Maid - Spotify Band Maid - look for FREEZER along with all the other album songs that do not have videos. It's not just their videos that Rock!
Already hit them up on Spotify! And Apple Music as well!!! I just downloaded “Unseen World” even though it’s not available until 1/13/21
There's only one band as good as Band Maid: Band Maiko. You should react to their song "Secret Maiko Lips" sometimes ^_-
Yep, it’s definitely on my list!!!
About the kind of people they are:
From what I've gathered in interviews, they're pretty real. They come across as genuinely likeable and really caring. Examples:
Kanami drying Saiki's tears and trying to comfort her when she was in agony from trying to sing with "nodes" that were on her vocal cords in August 2017 (she had surgery before they could continue concerts).
Band-Maid.
Now that’s an amazing story!!! Good karma has blessed them!!!
Yes I agree they are so cute and sweet girls.
They are some of the best musicians on the planet.
great reaction 😊
Thank you for the reaction video of BAND MAID 😉
please next
LOVE BITES - HOLY WAR (live)
If you like BAND MAID
I'm sure you'll love LOVE BITE too😁

Honestly, MIND OFFICIALLY IS BLOWN!!! I will be bringing you guys more Band-maid ASAP!
@@JustJenRx I am sure the other Maidiacs already gave you a long list of songs. Enjoy the journey Jen 🤙🏼
That's why I was saying their lives are so amazing! They take it to another level on stage and their songs are just built for crowd participation. Oh the thing with her teeth is something they call "Yaeba" I think.. It's pretty common there, and its seen as a sign of youthfulness if I'm correct. It's adorable if you ask me. Loving your vids btw! \m/
I'll quote the comment I've seen many times..."my favourite Band-Maid song?...the last one I listened to". Yes... 9:08 "It's really tough to be a woman"...when you're trying to do a reaction video and your kid is rearranging the furniture...by the sound of it :-))
awesome job. i get the same chills you get. i been a fan over 3 years. and still get chills. i love how they have gotten bigger. but ill miss them playing small clubs. thats where they really shine. heres a video of them having fun at 1 of there first shows in the us. 2019 mini tour. ruclips.net/video/1Q69GP4YjtU/видео.html also you need 2 react to dice, blooming , choose me, shake that, i cant live without you. (rinne) etc. stay well gurl.
Thank you! And thank you for also having great taste in music!!!!
You should react to Band Maiko, their alter egos. Maiko are apprentice geisha. Gion Cho.
