So yes, that paypal "comment section" is bit short, so let me tell, what I know about Warmen. It is a bastard lovechild of the keyboard player (Wirman) of Children of Bodom and his little brother, Antti (Wirman also, who knew). So that´s the connection with COB and Alexi Laiho. I went school with Antti in some point, so that´s where I found this Warmen (wirman) band. I feel, that they are more to power metal, than death metal, or how do you see COB. But, anyways, thought this was a bit different song to fare Alexi a goodbye. Sure, not any sick solos or anything, but a great song anyway. Thank you for watching it out Shane!! -Mikko
RIP ALEXI. Steve Vai was one of my first musical guitar and songwriting heroes and I had never really heard of Alexi or C.O.B. until I happened to see him on the cover of a guitar magazine WITH Steve Vai and I think Zakk Wylde. This young man could seriously SHRED, and even more astonishingly SING at the same time! Truly a talented soul gone way too soon. So happy we still have his music and may he be jamming somewhere out there with another Titan of Metal the Lake Chuck Shuldiner who died from cancer at 34 years old.
OMG, this is freaky....the Rockwell song came up in conversation as Den and I were eating lunch today, then afterwards I settled in to put on the NFL wild card games and check out your first listens (multi-tasking, darling!). I did hear about Alexi's passing a couple of days ago but I otherwise have very little knowledge about COB or this band. I came into this thinking, "Oh, how coincidental - another song with the same title..." only to have it be a cover of the original that Den and I were singing at our dining room table like an hour ago! This was an AWESOME version and very entertaining...CHEERS TO YOU UP THERE, ALEXI - rest in peace!! P.S. I get NEWBOM out of the logo turned upside down!
Yeah, Alexi & Wirman loved the 80'S a made parody songs in Metal versions. There are many covers from them & I think it's hysterical. The best known is Britney Spears' Oops! I did it again, but the one that I like is Lookin' Out My Back Door from CCR. It's a Party song if I've ever heard one! check this out: ruclips.net/video/cRbKc32i09c/видео.html
