I agree. He was the most powerful singer they had hands down.. Could have been a lead singer in a heavy band too... Too bad this man died in cancer like many of us today...
Your Toto reactions are gold. I know you’re partial to singers, but pay attention to that drummer, Jeff Porcaro. He passed away in 1992, but he has a substantial legacy. Played on A LOT of albums. 🤟✌️
During the keyboard/s solo David Paich and Steve Porcaro utilize the "call and response" musical technique where one soloist plays a short call phrase and then a second soloist responds with a complementary phrase..its a lost art these days but you can hear it in a lot of 80s progressive and pop rock
Nice one fella, I love this track and I like that you did too. Toto got the funk at times, I saw you reacting to that bass. The album this came from was not massively successful but I thought it was just fine and this is a blistering rock tune. Track called Lion gives you a really nice and different sound/vibe.
I miss Fergie Frederiksen a lot, as a big Toto fan! From the Netherlands! I must say this was the big hit On the Isolation album they made. R.I.P Fergie! and Jeff !
Subscribed off this one! Great reaction! If you liked this Hardline - Change of Heart is a must hear. Neal Schon from Journey started producing them and ended up joining. Some of Neals best solo stuff! You won't be sorry.
You said.. "who Toto WAS?"... go look.. they are STILL touring, and incredible LIVE! (Fergie passed... RIP Fergie) Listen to the entire ISOLATION album. TOTO & Fergie at their best! INSANELY great! :)
Toto is basically full of FirstCall Musicians....Porcaros, Lukather are on SOOOOO many other albums by other bands because they are simply that good (or were partially)
I am here thinking out loud:Have ever Toto had a bad vocalist?Fergie was amazing,Joseph Williams was a pleasure to listen and of course Bobby too.For my personal taste I would prefer Joseph Williams, but God they are all amazing.
Fergie had two levels...Kinda loud and shout singing. For a song or two it's OK...but it's fatiguging over the course of an album or concert. He could hit the notes and hit them high, but like I said, it gets old to the ears. There's something missing...soul? Feeling?
Fergie Fredericksen was an amazing singer, love it RIP Fergie
Isolation is a much underrated album.
To me it was their best but my frieds disagree...
I agree. It’s my personal favorite from the band.
The toto songs with Fergie really are underated

Isolation is my favorite TOTO album, so I’d have to agree.
Extremely underrated. I wish Fergie did more than this album with them.
I'm jealous of his mullet. Wish I had that.
Damm, didn't know this side of Toto. Gives Steve Perry some competition. Thanks for the reaction.
you a LAME that's why.. you only go by mainstream media and billboard BEE ESS
@@freddyhill8632 I think Fergies Vocal register went higher than Perry
Toto only the best band ever . 🎉🎉🎉 . Had it all 🎩 Pure Magic.
Toto is full of classics

They’re most underrated offering and one of their best albums. Amazing hooks in every song.
The Isolation album is a little more straight rock sound than usual for TOTO. Some really good song writing on there also.
Love Toto
I love this song. Have you ever heard Gordan Edman? Try to listen him singing "Don't close your eyes". Great singer, hard rock guy with a lot of soul.

Love this comment. As a piano player, all I can say is that you really know what you're talking about!
@@gremmiehodad thanks..Im a drummer primarily but play a little keys as well 😉
Hi, I really hope you enjoyed that as many Toto fans made.

Fergie on vox, underrated singer. Shame he did the one album with Toto.
My favourite TOTO singer RIP Fergie
@@aaronherbison7316 Joseph is my favorite singer with Toto but Fergie has amazing tone and range. He was special.
@@aaronherbison7316 He had an incredible voice. RIP.

Fergie also co wrote half the Isolation album , not just a one trick pony.
