      I agree. He was the most powerful singer they had hands down.. Could have been a lead singer in a heavy band too... Too bad this man died in cancer like many of us today...

    Your Toto reactions are gold. I know you’re partial to singers, but pay attention to that drummer, Jeff Porcaro. He passed away in 1992, but he has a substantial legacy. Played on A LOT of albums. 🤟✌️

    The Isolation album is a little more straight rock sound than usual for TOTO. Some really good song writing on there also.

    I love this song. Have you ever heard Gordan Edman? Try to listen him singing "Don't close your eyes". Great singer, hard rock guy with a lot of soul.

  • @psalmsurfer1
    @psalmsurfer1 Год назад +6

    During the keyboard/s solo David Paich and Steve Porcaro utilize the "call and response" musical technique where one soloist plays a short call phrase and then a second soloist responds with a complementary phrase..its a lost art these days but you can hear it in a lot of 80s progressive and pop rock

    Nice one fella, I love this track and I like that you did too. Toto got the funk at times, I saw you reacting to that bass. The album this came from was not massively successful but I thought it was just fine and this is a blistering rock tune. Track called Lion gives you a really nice and different sound/vibe.

    On the Isolation album they made.

    Subscribed off this one! Great reaction! If you liked this Hardline - Change of Heart is a must hear. Neal Schon from Journey started producing them and ended up joining. Some of Neals best solo stuff!
    You won't be sorry.

    Fergie had two levels...Kinda loud and shout singing. For a song or two it's OK...but it's fatiguging over the course of an album or concert. He could hit the notes and hit them high, but like I said, it gets old to the ears. There's something missing...soul? Feeling?
