I love your color choices and how you arrange your paints in the Folio. I find it interesting to see how each artist does their pallette setup, everyone has a unique way of doing things.
yeah isn't it! i also find it interesting, i love looking at other artists' palettes and swatches and their finished work🤩and thank you for your kind words💕
That swatch and mixing chart page in your sketchbook looks amazing! This was such an interesting watch and makes me want to create a travel palette, too
This video was very helpful. I have the same pallet that I bought for a trip to Switzerland (I’m in the USA). I love the idea to swatch it using size templates! Thank you!
Thank you for sharing this wonderful palette. I love all the extra mixing areas you put in there. If you are going to a very hot & humid climate, you might want to reconsider taking honey based paints as they typically melt and go everywhere, making a big mess. 😮 I absolutely love them, but they should sit stationary in a cool art room or a well sealed individual container. I hope you have a wonderful time during your travels. 😊 TFS 🙏
oh dear, i can't believe it has already happened! it got stuck on my pinky today after i sprayed the palette😱but im glad it happened at home, not in some park in the city somewhere 🤣 thank you so much🥹
@@ultramarine_finest I wouldn't have been able to tell you about it without having made these same messes myself. 🤣😱 😆 I'm happy you found out now, rather than on your trip. 👍
Excellent 🎉 These thin pallets are a game changer. Puts the artist more in control of color choices which can be easily changed ❤. Nice color choices 😅
I had the folio palette for a while now but I’ve just set it up last weekend. Altho I had the smaller palettes for years now. If im painting outside, I just wipe/dab the mixing space dry so that it wont spill and contaminate paints. Its easy to do for peace of mind.
You might enjoy Quinacridone Sienna from Daniel Smith as an orange, though I can't remember which pigments are in it. If you're avoiding PY150 because of the nickel toxicity, be aware that Green Gold is also made from a related pigment (PY129) that is also often labeled as toxic.
Thanks for this very interesting video! I'm also very curious about your white mixing palette to the left of your paints. Love that shape ... can you share where you found it?
Thank you so much for this video, it helped me a lot in making colour choices...can you please tell me what material is on the white palette lid mixing area ? Is it spray painted or some kind of covering material ? Thank you ! :)
you are very welcome 😊so glad to hear that! i checked on their website, it says it's made of plastic. so it's like a durable plastic sticker that is stuck on the lid. it's the same material for the mixing palette :) hope that helps!
Can you stick pans to the top flap of the folio too? Or will it not close if you try? I want to buy this pallette but wish the top flap had some kind of divisions
hi! no it doesn't close if i put pans there, but I've seen this artist came up with a workaround and it might be helpful to you :) ruclips.net/video/4rdS9L9frPM/видео.html

I was thinking the same thing about the Indanthrene Blue. It could make a mess 🤪
@Jlalode I still have a few pans I poured 5 five years ago and they are still tacky. 🤣 😝

ah thank you that's great to know! are you making a video about your setup? does the palette quality hold up over the years?

oh thank you! i had no idea about green gold being labled as toxic i will have to look into that!
I love your configuration. I am going to hit purchase soon and needed ideas. Thank you so much for sharing!❤

👏👏👏
Schmincke transparent orange
thank you! i will check it out ☺
If you put a piece of wax paper over the paints, it should keep the paints in place.
thank you! im planning to keep a separate palette for honey based paints 😊
Mungyo is duping this pallette.
Interesting video but you were speaking so softly that I had to put up the volume to the max. You may want to adjust your settings there!
thank you for the feedback and i'm sorry about that 🥲i'm still learning to navigate editing software... will make sure to adjust the volume next time!
@@ultramarine_finest You're welcome! Your videos are very inspiring and enjoyable :3
