Marco, I've been looking for some guidance on how to do this with my Jeep JL and can you believe you're the only video I've found that talks about how to do this. I am using the rough country power steps and I have a question for you. Since your tapped into the wires directly for the doors, does this mean the switch tricks the car into thinking the doors are open and thus it sends a message to the power step control unit. If so then this should work for any power steps that do not use magnets, like my rough country power steps,. Im basically asking if the switch triggers the 'door open circuit" on the jeep vs a switch that is tied directly into the powerstep control unit. Many thanks! I'm trying to get this to work so my parents can enter and exit the vehicle.
Sorry I didn’t get to this quicker. You are correct. The hook up triggers the circuit to think the doors are open. So not directly connected to the power steps. As you can see in the video, the interior lights turn on, just as if you’d open your door. So def should work for any brand power steps.
Nice work
Great Video! Semper Fi! Devil Dog!
Hey there! Good tutorial! What kind of doors amd where did you get them?
Hook them to the door lock power. Locked they are up, unlocked they are down.
i did the same

Seems simple. Thanks bro!
Do the steps still work when opening the doors when they are connected?
Yes. Once you put the doors back on and connect them they work as normal. The switches are a bypass to enable once doors connector are removed
Can you just come do this for me!!??? That’s scary for me
