When most people think of the A330neo, this is what they envision. A sleek machine with massive engines, graceful wings, and an iconic face mask. If you’ve ever gotten up close to one of these birds, you’ll know just how elegant they are.
But today, I’m gonna show you a different side of the NEO. If you watched my last video, you’ll know that Airbus has been tinkering with its design to address new market needs. And because of this, they’ve maintained a flight test vehicle to help certify all of the changes.
Airbus gave me exclusive access to this aircraft, so I could take you behind the scenes & show you what’s actually new on the neo. And frankly, I was surprised by just how many changes have been made. So come along and let’s explore this incredible bird together.

with the A330 Family being my favourite family of aircraft, I can't emphasise enough how the aircraft looks sooo elegant. Learnt quite a new fair bit about the NEO from your video, didn't know that the empennage area was also redesigned with new composite materials as well as the centre wingbox too. Absolutely love the recent A330neo videos that u published recently given how there is a lack of quality videos about this family of aircraft :( as an avid fan of the A330neo, hope that I'll be able to win the sweatshirt!! I just flew the a330neo from LAX to HND-Japan via Delta and loved every second of it. I think the ability to take a classic design and make it as efficient as possible is incredible. Huge props to the Airbus team! I didn’t know all airbus planes have the new mood lit cabins. I wonder if this applies to the a220 as well.

The 330 NEO has been in a constant state of improvement and tweaking and it really shows. From its engine and wing similarities of the A350, to the airspace cabin that features all across their modern products, Airbus has really outdone themselves. I work for an airline that flies the 339 and it is just such a beautiful aircraft and i love when they send it to my station once in a blue moon. Also love the frequency and quality of the videos! The a330neo is an aircraft thayt has been improved a lot. The engines are basically 2 generations newer than the Trent 700, the wings have been designed to make them larger at the same weight and new material were used. Inside the plane larger spaces and optimazation were the key facts that made the a330neo the perfect choices for many airlines, legacy and low-cost airlines.

I was very surprised about the FADEC. I never realized the engine needs its own computer to move EVERYTHING inside it, and the FADEC is like the brains of the engine. I also didn't realize just how massive the wing is! Almost like the A350, that's huge! Size is XS

I didn't know that RR created the Trent 7000 exclusively for the A330Neo, and worked hand in hand with Airbus to make it an engine that not only was an upgrade from the previous generation, but also one that fit the objectives that Airbus had in mind. I also never really realized what technologies (especially in regards to the engines) the Trent 7000 took from the Trent XWB. Very cool video as always, excited to see what else comes from the Airbus visit :).

@@isthatso5616 at moment 5:54 he mentions that the engine was specifically designed with the A330Neo in mind. Although you are right, it is in basis a Trent 1000, there are technologies that have been adapted from the Trent XWB, in addition to the engine being a 2 generation leap over the Trent 1000. It is still an improved engine, and it was still designed for A330Neo no matter who its predecessor was.

For clarification, the “one piece inlet” really means the inner barrel of the inlet does not have seams. This allows for more, non-interrupted acoustic treatment i.e. better noise attenuation. The metallic inlet lip is made in one piece for smaller engines but unlikely to be one piece on the Trent 7000.

First of all, Airbus A330 Neo is necessary to come into the Market because to compete with Boeing 777X, this is airplane that has the Similar Capacity to give a Tuff Competition. As learned from this video, that it has Very new Engine Option, lavish Interior Cabins, the new Equipment, new systems, new Avionics and the new composite materials used along for the Aluminium built in materials are great, such that it reduces Weight Exorbitantly, so better fuel Efficiency and less Greenhouse Gases to say. :)
    (BTW my Size 2-XL).
Thankyou for your Nice Content of Videos. We are Learning new thing from your channel day by day. :))

3 things. I Never new that the primary wings were redesigned! Airbus also had to remove to some pylons and different materials for the engine cowling and the primary wing alone.
Another things was that the 30NEO has 66% bigger overhead bins. 66% is a lot!
The new tent 7000s are 11% more efficient thatn the Trent 1000s and older engines that the 30CEO operated!

Love their attempt to spin the Trent 7000 as a completely different engine when it is literally listed as a variant of the Trent 1000 on the TCDS. During the last few month, I have learned that customers of the A330NEO is underwhelmed by the performance of its engine and also that the structural integrity of a few dozen short body A330 CEOs and NEOs are at risk of “catastrophic failure” because Airbus failed to completely perform certain manufacturing procedure.

In short; what is the main difference between the smallest A350 and the most highly specced A330neo?

    • @viktor.egelund
      @viktor.egelund Год назад +1

While waiting for a human answer, I asked AI:
The A350 and A330neo are both wide-body, twin-engine jets designed for long-haul flights. While they share some similarities, there are some significant differences between the two models.
      • Design and Capacity:
The A350 was designed as a more modern aircraft, with a sleeker fuselage, larger wingspan, and more efficient engines than the A330neo. The A350's composite construction makes it lighter and more fuel-efficient than the A330neo. The A350 can accommodate up to 440 passengers in a high-density layout, while the A330neo can seat up to 460 passengers in a similar configuration.
The A330neo has a longer fuselage, allowing for more passenger seating and cargo capacity. However, the A350's larger wingspan and more efficient engines allow it to fly longer distances and more efficiently than the A330neo.
      • Range:
The A350 has a greater range than the A330neo, with a maximum range of 15,000 km (8,100 nmi) compared to the A330neo's range of 13,334 km (7,200 nmi). This means that the A350 can fly further without refueling, making it more suitable for long-haul routes.
      • Fuel Efficiency:
The A350 is more fuel-efficient than the A330neo due to its advanced aerodynamics and lightweight materials. The A350's fuel burn is approximately 25% lower than the A330neo, which translates to lower operating costs for airlines. The A350's Rolls-Royce Trent XWB or General Electric GEnx-1A engines are more fuel-efficient and produce less noise and emissions than the Trent 7000 engines used on the A330neo.
      • Engines:
The A350's engines, the Trent XWB and GEnx-1A, are more fuel-efficient and produce less noise and emissions than the Trent 7000 engines used on the A330neo. The Trent XWB and GEnx-1A engines also feature a higher thrust output, which allows the A350 to take off and climb more quickly than the A330neo. The A330neo's Trent 7000 engines, however, are more powerful than the engines used on the previous generation A330, resulting in improved fuel efficiency and lower noise levels.
      • Cockpit:
Both the A350 and A330neo have modern glass cockpits with advanced avionics and fly-by-wire systems. However, the A350's cockpit is more advanced and features larger displays and more advanced systems, such as a predictive maintenance system that can detect potential problems before they occur. The A350's cockpit also has a higher degree of automation, reducing the workload on pilots and allowing them to focus on other tasks.
      • Price:
The A330neo is generally cheaper than the A350, with a list price of around $296.4 million compared to the A350's list price of around $366.5 million. However, the actual price can vary depending on the airline's negotiation with the manufacturer and other factors. While the A350 is more expensive, it offers better fuel efficiency, range, and advanced cockpit features, making it a more attractive option for some airlines.
In summary, both the A350 and A330neo are advanced and capable aircraft designed for long-haul flights. While the A330neo is cheaper, the A350 offers better fuel efficiency, range, and a more advanced cockpit. Ultimately, the choice between the two aircraft will depend on the specific needs and budget of the airline.
