I was at a very nice restaurant in Napa a while back and they served butter beans. They were delicious and I tried to recreate the dish at home a few days later but they didn't taste the same. Your recipe is even better than the fancy restaurant's and I'm thrilled I can make these healthy beans now any time that I'm craving them and all with the confidence of knowing they'll be scrumptious! Thank you.

I love this. Made a half portion for two people - great! Then thought of making with a little,chopped cooked bacon or ham, spinach or other veggie. This recipe is a keeper and I used white kidney beans. Love it!

I grew up on a farm in south Georgia(USA) and we always had a garden, and butter beans were one of the few vegetables that, as a child, I would eat, but the butter beans we grew were smaller, more tender and green in color. It took a long time for me to like the type of butter beans (we called them Like beans) that you use; I finally learned that the Line beans that I had been served were cooked in plain water, not chicken stock or with a bit of bacon for flavor. I will try this dish to serve with chicken. Thank you again!😊

This looks great. Haven’t tried it yet, but the recipe is clearly a solid starter to make an excellent sauce for such things. Adding a lot more black pepper as well as some hot chilies would be my only variation. Looking forward to dinner tonight ❤
