The vacuuming at 13:05 was entirely appropriate. The vacuum is one of the most underused tools in the shop frankly. Nice work and good instinct.

      @madman123456 2 года назад +7

For a daily driver they should restore some really small car and make it so that it uses the least amount of gas possible. There could be explanations as to what you really need to take care of to that end and what can be disregarded...

    Hiya Mook and Kevin!
Couple of things that might help considering how many filthy barn finds you guys clean out.
Gallon jug (or 5 gallon, your choice) of Super Clean degreaser. Kicks ass. Zep Citrus Cleaner is darn good too, smells a bit better.
    2) For either, a Zep Bleach Resistant spray bottle. Super Clean is so strong it'll gum up regular bottles eventually.
You can cut the heck out it with water and it still kicks ass!
    3) Drillbrushes.
Many copy cats but these are fantastic. Takes a lot of the work out of scrubbing filth.
Available in six or seven stiffnesses depending on the job at hand. .
Hope it helps you folks out, keep up the good work.
You guys are friends I've never met! 👍

Happy another year around the sun day mook! I have a 01’ ranger with a flatbed. I had to make it a flatbed because I rolled it 3 time at 55mph, and the wiring got chopped up under the bed, so instead of getting a new harness, I took the bed off, cut and bed, screwed $30 worth of Autozone trailer lights to the back, and bada bing bada boom, shes legal enough to drive!

When I was 40 years younger I was never a spectator of any sporting events and if I needed a vehicle repair, back then the fix was cheap enough to have done on a 60's used vehicle for many like myself that had little income to set aside for repairs. I'm speaking about back in the 70's. If I couldn't manage the cost of a repair I would just sell the car to someone that could. Then I used a bicycle to get around.
Eventually I would get another vehicle on the cheap and I'd be motoring around again.
Now with my 65 year old body and faculties impaired to the point where I need more money and a honest mechanic to work on my vehicles that need help, I'm pleased to have found such a person that fixes what needs to be fixed at the best cost possible for both parties and i am finding that I now am a spectator of videos of young peeps that do the same.
Mook and Kevin are the most engaging couple along with their camera person whom is Kevin's brother at times and I have been able to root and cheer their success much like some do for a local football team.
These two/three give someone in my declining health much joy at this time where I can hop on the computer and be entertained and feel their excitement as if I am there myself.
I am concerned for where the future of gas powered combustion vehicles will be in our society after I'm gone but I can only hope that those like the likes of these two will be able to continue a few more decades on in order to be teachers, professors even of a time when life and transportation was unencumbered by politics.
Seroiusly their style of teaching us the student is worthy of a position in a fine auto shop mechanics school no matter where auto mechanics eventually do end for the industry.

That seat may actually be the original seat for that truck Mook. As depending on the manufacture date of your truck, which is on the door tag that will be either on the door or door frame that contains your vin. 1964 for trucks started rolling out around August of 1963. But every year truck like your 1964 F-250, will contain items that may have been manufactured as early as 1962, all the way up till the day your truck was made. It’s why you would even sometimes see a 1959 fleetside bed on a 1965 F-100 4x4. I know as I use to own a 1965 F-100 that had 3/4 ton springs on back with a 5 lug half ton rear axel. Ford was really good about using whatever they had an excess of, to clear out old stock on new trucks back then.

This was hilarious at moments, amazing at others and I enjoyed seeing what you made of the old Ford a great deal. You're a Star Mook, (and Kevin.). Character, charisma and charm. Winner 🏆‼️
