FIRST. HA!
HECKER!, LMAO.
The Buick grand national and this truck can’t wait to see them run 👍🏼
@Noah Cooke definitely. I’m not sure I can trust him after this lol
Notification squad!👍🏻
Really Kevin ( hope I spelt it right ) btw love both of ur guy’s content
Mook has such a great unique personality, small girl with a big heart.. Love your channel..
Gotta love da Mook!
She and Kevin are a great couple, I'm sure they would get hitched
Agree
mook is very very pretty as well !
She reminds me as a kid with ADHD..
Carb backfires.... Mook: "Bless you!" Love it
Back when l was in grade school, l saw these trucks everywhere. They kept the same body style until around the early 90's, so parts were interchangeable. They had no electronics, so they weren't too difficult to work on, unlike the newer ones. I thought they were cool back in the day. I hope you get this one running. Good Luck!👍
Drove an old GM Topkick one time that had an automatic in it and the thing was super slow, would barely move, empty and loaded it was not up to the task.
Kevin, you better hang on to that Mook, she is a one of a kind!
I would love to sit down and ask Mook and Kevin how where and when they met, and is Mook ever serious. She had to have been raised with brothers. Love the fact that when Kevin doesn't know about something he just admits it and keeps moving forward with whatever is going on. No arrogance or posturing just a shoulder shrug" hmmm I don't know much about....." And he supports his gal pal and doesn't condescend. Great content always. Mook..., If you and Kevin have kids you would be an awesome mom and I'm sure those lil guys would be wrenching alongside both of you! It would be the best reality show ever!
I think they have talked about how they meet before, I think through college
Them kids gonna be scraping old gaskets when they get in trouble from what I’ve heard so they’re gonna listen pretty well lol
I think she is younger too though so the really shows her personality
@@masonbarto4003 actually she just mentioned on a line stream she is older
O wow
Great to see Mook and Kevin busy with a revival. The smile on Mook's face while driving is priceless.
"I will knock you right off the census, Kevin!"
I'm going to use that
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Oh Mook....what a gal!!
Oh yeah, that's gold! People will probably wonder who Kevin is. 🤔

That was hilarious!!
Best. Comment ever
I'm so thankful RUclips suggested this video for me (again) today! It has one of my favorite sequences of words: "Weaponizing the Mook"!!!
Seeing how much they enjoy their shared hobby and how easily they help each other out is really nice.
That brings back memories. I used to drive one of these trucks as a kid on grandpas farm. Hauled round hay bails and then as a grain truck. 2speed rear end switch on the shift lever. This truck was a big upgrade from the 40’s Chevy trucks we used before these newer trucks.
I'm 15 years old right now and drive a 1980s c70 with a 6.9 Detroit and a 10 speed Eton fuller, I will say, I love these old trucks but the old Etons are god awful on the two lane
15 years old and drives on the "two lane".
please stop, kid.
theodore Dow-man - in some states 15 year olds are allowed to drive as long as it's farm work.
I'll bet that you are one of those people who wouldn't work for what a farmer can afford to pay, but still expect the grocery store shelves to be fully stocked.
@@mikesmith-po8nd My last name is Dow, my family owns Dow Ranches............
theodore Dow-man - if that's true then you should have known better than to make that comment.
Farm kids have to take on a lot more responsibility for their age than city kids.
And they understand that if they get into a wreck with the farm truck, it means that not only will they have to pay damages which come out of the family's income, but also that the truck might be out of service for an extended time also hurting the family's income.
Of course there are exceptions, but as a general rule farm kids are much safer drivers than the average person.
It is a 2 speed rear end…. The switch on the shifter controls it!
Mook, digs and vice grip garage on the same day, spoiled!
We are certainly more than blessed with these videos. 🇬🇧

Kevin said it's a weaponized mook, I say it's Mooklear warfare!
What a great introduction to this channel. Seeing these two interact with each other, Mook seems like a pretty awesome gal. I love how she just sat herself inside the engine bay, that made me crack the hell up
You two were definitely put on this Earth to be together. You’re the most compatible people/couple ever. You two are hilarious! Thanks for sharing your banter with us.
I so much enjoy watching Mook and Kevin have fun wrenching, down to earth, honest and entertaining. Also learned a few things that will come in handy when needed.
Weaponizing the Mook is a terrifying concept. I don't wanna be Booger Scoped! 😂

Weaponizing the Mook, now I am scared.
New Fortnite weapon...the "Mook sniper rifle" with a "booger scope"...lol
Mook you and Kevin are such a fun couple to watch. Never a dull moment.
So adorable and spunky like the tomboy sisbro from rugrats
yes
The way you climb vehicles to work on them is adorable.
That smile on her face while driving it was priceless!!!
The cable on the shifter is for the 2 speed rear end
Mook is a national treasure and must be protected at all costs!
Mook wearing her Vice Grip Garage cap again! I bet a Guy would appriciate that!
9:07 "I got a nub of a accelerator." Mook never ceases to entertain! I CANNOT believe how well that thing ran once you got it going!!
To put the PTO push the clutch in, put it into gear, engage the PTO, put it back into neutral and release the clutch which stops the transmission from spinning so you can engage it without grinding gears. Hydraulics were probably low, but a lot of beds do have an access panel to refill them with the bed down.
Agree
Straight gear just put in neutral and engage the pto should have a tank for bud fluid
If u hold it to the floor really hard it has a cluch break just like a semi
I have the same exact truck
I love listening to you. Your like a shop teacher teaching a class, you explain how you are doing each video everyday and show what you are building for that day. Love watching you and learning from you every chance I get. Thank you so much.
I still drive a 68 ford c750 with a dump bed to do my work clients love getting there gravel diliverd in a classic cabover
The train horn going off as soon as nook opened the hood was perfect!😂
Yesss i cried at that Part🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😭
Yeah, I was thinking dat maybe da train was blowing its whistle to encourage da cute slender Mook ("I'm just a slight-figured girl, Kevin --- I only gots little twiggy-arms!") to "really give it her best" to lift da hood. :D
I pray somebody adopts that adorable little puppies brother and sister come on people they need a good home like this little guy
The "something here" that does something is a gear splitter for the 2 speed rear end. Things to investigare is the blatter in the brakes master. If that goes you will be driving a dangerous truck. Grease the king pins right away. If the king pins freeze up it will be quite a job to free them up.
I enjoyed seeing the joy on Monk's face when she drove the truck. Next revival if it's safe how about victory donuts. Kota is a doll. Does Kevin howl at the moon with the puppy after a few cold refreshments.🍺🍺
"I will knock you right off the census!".......I GOTTA remember that one! LOL
I drove a the exact same GMC equiv. truck back in michigan. Its a beast.
This is a c70 Kodiak
This is a c70 Kodiak
I forgot that chevy and gmc uses the same body
That button on the shifter is for a split rear end. High and low gears. My International was the same, excellent dump bed. Stay safe. 😁
Kevin and Mook, you two young adults are every knowledgeable and a great source of entertainment .total enjoyment keep up the good videos GOD BLESS
Reflective triangles in the red boxes...A MUST for a Chevy!
HOLY SHIT!!!! You knows it’s gonna be a good day when junkyard digs and junkyard mook upload.
You and that truck did the perfect recreation of my mother when she was learning the manual in the International grain trucks my grandfather had at the time. Specifically when it didn’t want to stay in 1st.
I don't even use first. Especially in low on the rear. Mine'll dig in starting in 4th gear. They seem to be geared for pullin' stumps.
i just love mook's energy and how she does everything its so funny and awesome
That's awesome Mooke, you got to revive an old Chevy dump truck and drive it. I love working on the larger older trucks. Good job.
Ah, the old fuel-tank-on-the-front-bumper trick. If you're gonna crash, you might as well burn.
No brakes and fuel tank strapped to the front bumper LOL
redneck gas tank way to go mook
I love how there is excitement when the truck starts moving, and then 5 seconds later the truck say's "Nope"!. lol!
Good
Its a split shifter, its got a 2 speed rear end in it, that's what the little pull guy on the shifter is for. Basically that 4 speed that is in there is effectively an 8 speed for when you are loaded, although I think you can usually get away without using it almost entirely when the truck is empty other then maybe in 4th on the highway, popping it into the higher setting to bring RPMs down a little. I have had one before, it was fun.
Just be careful about the rpms when shifting it to low range, hold her on the floor...
Wow...I agree with Dave Smith....love Mook's personality...loved the truck too.
Q: "Where the heck is the dipstick?"
A: He's standing right next to you...
😂😂😂
Thank you for a fun show and greetings from Finland.Always nice when a new episode comes
Don't think Mook gonna be leaning over the fender of that thing but as small as she is she'll just probably sit inside the engine bay on the fender well .
Comes as an option on some models. In case a booger scope is needed.
She seems tall-ish
Good job! I've put many a mile on those old Chevy's, They are a work horse.
Have to say, the sight of this truck brought back some really bad memories. Had to drive one just like it with a 20' stake bed to a job site in texas. @17 hours, no AC, blew out one of the rear tires in the middle of nowhere in Mississippi.found a replacement. 40 miles later blew out another tire. And that gas burner got horrible mileage.
Great video, I have the same truck as this one! Has a 350/4 speed/2 speed rear axle and was originally a 2 barrel but has since been changed to a 4 barrel iron manifold and Rochester quadrajet. My rams horn exhaust manifolds succumbed to the same fate as yours so were swapped for a cheap set of swap meet headers and some junkyard flowmaster mufflers. It's still a turd but it sounds good. Oddly enough it too was a revival, abandoned at a logging site the owner said anything I could drive away I could have so I got the Chevy, an international loadstar and a Ford 9N tractor.
I love how Mook can fit entirely under the hood. Makes it easier to work on it, I guess
That's a 2 speed rear axle, you can split your shifts when driving it loaded up.
Sounds like the truck farted when Mook shut it of after driving it around.
Great video content!
You can sit on the inner fender and wrench in it. Everyone I know worked on a square body Chevy like that. The red box behind the seat has safety triangle reflectors..
An old 4 speed with 2 speed splitter. The memories of the good ole days.
Now I have an 18 speed.
Awesome video as always
BIG old Chevy. Basis of farm trucks and school buses back in my youth. I remember that manual transmission set-up on my school bus, as the driver rolled through the gears on back gravel roads of the county. Rain, snow or shine, these heavy-duty platforms ran without stopping. Snow? Chains for them through. Never missed much school on these older rigs. The grain trucks like the one you're working on, ran through the fields quite well.
These rigs would be valuable still, for hauling firewood and hay bales. No emissions, and the sky is the limit for the mods one can add-on. Torque monsters 💪
BTW: Gotta love older trucks where you can actually reach things under the hood AND sit up under there. 😂
I could swear I heard that engine yell, "I'm old, leave me alone!"
That was funny. Thanks for helping me laugh.!!
"OMG thats a mook in a dump truck. Thats just one step away from weaponizing a mook"...that made me laugh
Hey dawgs! I wore my Junkyardmook hoodie to the LaCrosse Center in LaCrosse, Wi for the Stansfield State dart tournament, I had a few different people come up to me saying nice shirt and that they were subs👍🏻
Aww that is awesome! Thanks for sharing
@@JunkyardMook I should also tell ya I parked my Jeep in Lanesboro, Mn and these guys sitting there noticed my Junkyard Digs sticker on my Jeep and said “Junkyard Digs I watch that guy on RUclips!” And you might not want to inflate Kevin’s head but the one guy said, “That guy is a GENIUS!” 😆👍🏻
I'd say it could use a transmission and clutch plus brakes. I'm surprised that it didn't come with a 366. If you found one with an automatic transmission that would be rare.
Automatic transmission in a C70 🤔,,,, only one i can think of would be an Allison 👍
Enjoyed it. Read and heed the split axle instructions for driving.. they start off best in gear 2.
Junkyard mook is a beast at fixing cars and making them run!!!
When Mook took off in that truck in second gear Mook was ear to ear!😆😂
I still use my 73 Chevy C60 to haul dirt and rock, not the fastest thing in the world but it'll pull anything you put behind it.
I used to drive a 73 C60 dump when I was 16 years old for my dads Landscaping&Tree business he also ran a 58 international dump they were good trucks
In high school, I worked for a guy with a hay farm and a sawmill. (I know, what a combo.) The truck that hauled the logs out of the swamp and up to he mill was a '52 Ford F5 stake body. Slow as all heck, but I'm SURE we exceeded the weigh capacity hauling red cedar logs out if that swamp. Since the swamp and mill were all in his property, my buddy and I got to drive it around long before we got out license.
I've got a 76 c60 tow truck and trying to find a hood or any rust repair panels is impossible. I have spent a heap of hours searching for parts.
@@willowsrandomgarage1940 where are you located I have a c 70 8.2 diesel taking to scrap metal has fiberglass tilt front
@@robertvannicolo4435 im in Australia mine has a tilt front but it all steel, the hood is the worst part that has rusted through. Got a replacement cab and new tilt and slide tray. I just cant find metal front parts. It seems most people had them as farm trucks and never looked at keeping them pretty. The 350 engine had alot of work done to it so it almost bulletproof and gets to highway speed quicker than any other tow truck.
Should get a 20 gallon boat tank with a priming bulb. It's easy and you can switch it between Revive projects
Always fun! Kevin, that thing that the back wheels are connected IS a live axle, but so are all the rear wheel drive vehicles not equipped with some form of independent rear suspension....its just a drive axle with no "hinge" of some sort , so both wheels are always in the same relationship to each other.
This particular kind is a "2 speed" , which, as you have seen, is an extra gearset inside the center section, activated by a solenoid of some sort.
How do I know this? I'm an old guy, I've driven these is my alibi....
Have fun, of course!!!
That's a nice "goin to town" hat Mook has on
That switch on the shifter is for the two speed rear-end.

i recently moved out to our moms old farm place where they grew up and theres so many old vehicles and old farm equiptment and trucks and its coo to actually learn a few things about them just from watching these videos
We just adopted a German Shepard lab mix he's 5 months old and named Koda too! He looks very similar to your pup!
A 350 in that truck is about as surprising as finding a 360 Hemi in my last RV, not completely out of the realm of possibility but certainly unusual 😎👍👍
Great video as always 😎👍👍

We need a Weaponize the Mook T-Shirts. 42:22
I really don't think the world is ready for a Weaponised Mook!
Love it, great video. And the c50 through C70 trucks with the gasoline engines are pretty easy to work on, I always said that they're just a C10 in a big coat since they use the same cab pretty much all the same electronics and the same drivetrain as long as their gas as the half ton through 1 ton series trucks.
Big ol c60 box truck. My great grandpa ran these for years hauling all over the state of Iowa and northern Missouri.
"Weaponized Mook" = two most terrifying words in the English language
this ^
Damn look at the frame on that thing. It's a beast
Considered medium duty trucks in its day
Kevin, you know a live axle is a straight axle, right? A 2 speed is what's called
Grammar is what's its called? @Junkyard Mook
@@RobinFromTheHoodxiii how is this relevant to my comment?
OK, the thing about heavy duty truck transmissions. First gear is never used: *UNLESS* you are hauling a load. in this truck First gear is low, and low first is ultra low, which is why the old gal had a hell of a time moving. I bet you had her in ultra low..
Once you get her moving in first, instantly shift to 2nd. *Without a load* start in 2nd gear. The low gears were dependent on road conditions, and load weight.
Wish you and your hubby were closer as I would have 4 truck challenges for you to get running. All of them last ran in 1975(40 Chev) and 1978 for the other three. All have been kept indoors and should be free to turn. The challengers are a 40 Chev, 49 Ford, 50 Chev and a 52 Dodge.
"The windows work!" No the bail out devices engage. 🤣
At 19:49 I had just sneezed, and I hear Mook say "Bless you" and I got a little creeped out...
That's awesome! I love those big old trucks like that. Aside from the ecosystem of lichen growing on the truck, it appears to be in very good shape, cosmetically. Transmission needs some work.
Dad had a 73 c60 with a 350. Was a telephone pole truck had giant utility bed with crane and a rack to haul them. Unfortunately it in fact DID NOT have 2 speed . Max speed was 35 and had a light that would come on saying overspeed or something . Spent it's life here w us hauling boxes of tools a bobcat and a miniex on the same trailer
(42:24) “that’s one step away from weaponizing the Mook!” 🤣 WMD’s: Weapons of Mook Destruction!!

Matchbook cover to set points width. Darn good work trucks.
kevin, the "big truck" on the registration is because chevy trucks over 1 ton were referred to as "big trucks". that's likely a C60, or 2 ton, so it'd be a "Big Truck".

Lives up to its name. Utterly horrifying creature.
Yes! Kinda looks like a Cheeto with wings when in turns into a moth.
3:45 - that's for a two speed rear axle. More gears! (Ha, figured it out later...)
Mook reminds me of the dog that hollers "squirrel!" In that disney movie

I had the same truck in the 80's only a 75 that I drove as a work truck and a daily driver for ten years I loved that truck it had the 427 V8, dual speed rear diff and dual saddle tanks . we put a Holley double pumper on it that woke the engine up to the point I could drive 120 mph in the damn thing on the interstate with a full load it was a fast 5 ton and it was my baby I taught my wife to drive in it
Mook, the perfect tool for cleaning your points, is an emery board that's used file fingernails. Put a pack of them in your tool tool box. You can also cut the end of one, in the shape of a spade electrical connector, to clean corrosion from your electrical systems.
