    Here is an honest opinion. Im also a gamer and business professional. Further im high and heavy. XL chair supports 180 kg. Fairly easy to assemble. Price wise I dont find it expensive at all. There are much pricier ergonomic office chairs. So price should not be an issue for s business prof. At all. I bought rubber wheels from Amazon. Makes chair a bit higher but rolls even better.
    First impressiom is that This is. Hands down. Best chair i ever had. Om feeling like a 10 y old kid. It dwarfs me. The chair. So that is good. Look wise its ok. Quality and build wise its above average. But not totally unique. Just more sturdy. And no rattling parts. I love the dynamic switching around arm handles etc. Also i bought extra head pillow. I would say this is an absolute must.
    So very good quality. For the price its above average. Very silent. Lots of options. Only critique i have for now is that it should be able to go lower or higher. But all in all. I think its among the best chairs ever.
    I dont agree that it is cheap at all. But I guess several factors play in there. Both with past chairs and willingness to spend on a chair. I think of it as two chairs in one. For work and games. And I have had alot worse to sit on. I think better wheels is needed. And i think armrests could probably be better. Same goes with adjusting handles for height etc. Material is sturdy plastic. Like every other chair. Just thicker and a bit cooler. I get Razor wibes from handle shapes etc.
    But again stressing. If you are a successful business profile with money to spend. The price is not bad at all. There are easily ergonomic office chairs double the price but worse. Quality is above average. Looking forward to more customization options.
    One last thing. If you buy. Try and lean back so your feet does not touch the ground. Gently push off with one foot and close your eyes. Chair will spin for several rounds and that feeling and part is this chairs x factor. It spins you like a fidget. Gotta love it.

    I just got a Regular size Secretlab Titan Evo 2022 Akatsuki version 2 days ago and I’m really loving it! I decided to purchase an add on which is the lumbar pro pillow as I find the built in lumbar support is kinda stiff for me. I used to play games while sitting on my bed but now I use the my SL chair to play games with my tv setup. Some of my friends mentioned SL chairs or gaming chairs in general are meant for gamers with a desk setup which I totally agree but hey you can have the best of both worlds while playing it both on desk setup ( for pc) and tv setup (for my gaming consoles such as PS5, Switch & Xbox).

    Knowing some smaller office chairs that don’t support the head or have the same upholstery charging over 500$ or even 1000$ all chairs made for midgets also.
    The XL version hugs my 6’ body so well with space ! Feels great for my body but I love it.
    Thinking about chairs it’s not just a seat, it’s a home chair you need to help support your whole body while resting in it. You don’t wanna have one you know you’ll be hunched over in.
    But I also agree it is made very cheap besides the upholstery and metal.
    The plastics could have been so much better on it and maybe supply magnet replacement slots incase they ever wear.
    Hopefully the warranty will help replace everything in the meantime

  • @Daniel-vu4qu

    What happened to the armrests? You mentioned you said you have had issues but didn't show them?

    • @derekszyszka
      @derekszyszka  2 года назад +4

      Yeah, the armrest had a nasty internal "click" when you put pressure on it, and the entire back also had to be replaced because it creaked every time you reclined.
      Both parts took about 2 months to be mailed under warranty.

    I've recently had this XL chair and (so far so good) it is so perfect! My previous chair was the gaming chair Vertagear PL6000 which lasted almost 6 years.
    I'm 6ft 0.5" / 184cm and 16st/224lb / 101kg. There is by far plenty of room in this chair with the arm-rests set at their narrowest position. I've got the chair raised about half an inch / 2cm and my legs can easily touch the ground (I wear trousers with 33-34" inside-leg).
    Wonder how long it will last, as the seat itself, whilst brand new, is very very comfortable on the butt right now. As an electrician the only office chairs I've briefly sat on have all been really horrible compared to the gaming chairs I've had over the last almost 20 years.

    I am considering this chair, have an older DxRacer Iron Series that's still 100% after almost 7 years. I don't think the same build quality exist in the company today. "I tested a Master Series and sent it back lumbar was to hard" I am 6'1 with a custom build desk over a mini fridge that is 33' so I need the height as well. Do you feel the lumbar lump when its retracted? This lumbar on all the chairs I don't like its something I feel it just going make it less comfortable.

    • @derekszyszka
      @derekszyszka  2 года назад +2

      That desk you see is something I personally custom built about 5 years ago. It's an 8 foot by 8 foot L shape (wall to wall) built-in desk with a hutch for all my monitors and accessories. It's made out of 2x6s that were jointed together into a solid wood table top, and it secured on the wall so there are no table legs to get in the way. I included built-in power bars, USB ports, and tracks for tucking away cables.
      The materials cost closer to $400 Canadian, but I bet the desk is worth $4,000 if a skilled carpenter custom built one for another home.

    I've spent weeks browsing for chairs and watching chair reviews but options in my country are so limited. I basically ended up defaulting to Secretlab due to lack of any other viable options in this price range. Placed an order for the Regular size softweave in Black.
    I owned an Ikea Markus for many years but recently passed it on to someone else. I picked up a second hand Humanscale Diffrient World ergonomic office chair about a year ago and I hate it. Its so creaky and my lower back hurts after a few hours. I also really miss the back height of the Markus.

      @@derekszyszka I used to be a big WoW junkie, playing from Cataclysm up until BFA, and also experiencing Classic, TBC, and Wrath. I watched Payo when he was still playing on private servers before Classic came out.
      I'm unsure to get this chair since so many people say it's very hard and uncomfortable :/

      @@Mr.Reality Is the chair hard,? Yes. Is it too hard? In my opinion, no. There are some really shitty chairs out there, and this definitely isn't one of them.
      With that said, I highly suggest getting the lumbar pillow. I think it takes the chair from a 7/10 to a 9/10
      I started playing WoW in vanilla when I was 16 years old and gave up around MoP. I still play Classic though, that's actually when I found Payo is during the CLD tournament. I'm super excited for Season of Discovery in a few weeks!

    Do not buy secretlab chairs. Buy at your own risk and discomfort. Also, disliked this video for being dishonest.

    Weight wise, I should get the XL. Height wise, I shouldn't since I'm only 5'6''. How would this fair for us short and stocky dudes

      I would still get the XL if I were shorter and stocky. The little extra width in the chair would be nice for the shoulders.
      I hope that helps!
