in addition to challenging myself to shooting with so little time...i also shot half the video on my own (shoutout steve for filming the first shoot!) and blasted super 8 footage the whole time. exhausting couple of shoots but...WORTH IT! ily
The blue hour portion of this video reminded me of the blue hues you see when visiting an aquarium. It would be neat to see portraits taken in that kind of environment!
Love love love the fact that you put your settings on the bottom on the picture for some exposures. I know it’s your sauce, but sharing it with us truly means a lot. Thank you Linus ❤️🖤
So, I just found your channel 9 minutes ago. This video was so well produced, your creative eye is so nice, and your chill attitude while talking with us about your process made me subscribe. Time to binge watch!
Does the Pentax have an internal light meter or are you metering beforehand with a light meter? I still struggle with that and so in awe how these all come out with little light!
Would love to see a video that breaks down your developing process especially with the uniroller. I know you’ve brushed over it a few times but something more in depth would be awesome!
Here's the amazon link for it man. www.amazon.ca/Wireless-Remote-Uplight-Wedding-Blacklight/dp/B06XNT8ZLZ?fbclid=IwAR2D7wP6Pkv32T7CzLcuFycx-4QvwF3YhIAvm9zFE-XY918I4ihqLkHeh50
i added a link in the description under "my gear". it's solid, gets quite a bit more battery life than i expected and doesn't need to be plugged in for use.
Really inspiring video. A real reminder to not get in my head and make something bigger than it needs to be, nor to find reasons not to do something. Just shoot the dang thing! As others mentioned, really like that little colored LED set up, better than carrying around gels. You killed those photos, and no don't discount your choice of models and locations.
@@linusandhiscamera thanks a lot 💖 i love the shots and currently youre the most inspiring film youtuber (and also photographer in general). hope to see a more soon
it's a generic moblie DJ light a client gave me ages ago..no branding. so i bet there's a company that sells the same one for big prices and this is from the same factory
metered on my phone! all the photos shot during blue hour were shot at f/2.8 at 1/60th of a second. the ones at the more golden hour i didn't record but again - just metered on my phone (mylightmeterpro app)
@@linusandhiscamera whaaaaaat, I was considering picking up a sekonic light meter to help me with my own blue hour/night photo aspirations but I guess I'll have to check out mylightmeterpro first. Awesome video as always!
Amazing work! Lomo 800 is by far my favourite film atm. Are these photos straight from the sp3000? Also, I'd love to see a video about your scan workflow 👀
@@linusandhiscamera negative. Poorly worded way to say the intro was sick 😂 I love the visual identity you built with it. It’s wild that a “tech review” can start off so stylishly

Can you do a video with lomography 800 like this
The blue hour portion of this video reminded me of the blue hues you see when visiting an aquarium. It would be neat to see portraits taken in that kind of environment!
TRUE! might have to pull up
that blue hour, plus blue water, & blue cinestill really produced some heavy blue background!
so stoked about how it came out!!
I've watched my fair share of photography youtube vids, and I gotta say these 8 minutes might be the most fire-packed, informative, and inspiring.
christopher..wow fam. thank you so much!!
I would genuinely love to see more Bangerz 12+ minutes of just straight Shots get deep into it!!
more on the WAY
bro that first reveal shot of Sean was buttery
thanks karl!!
Great portraits! Favorite at 5:55 with the amazing bokeh of the vehicle lights on the street. It's all there! 👍😎
thank you!! really stoked about that one too.
Something about the sound of the shutter button of the Pentax 6x7 when you snap a pic is so satisfying. Amazing video as always Linus!
the shutter gets me going

All I want is blue hour for a WHOLE hour... not 20 minutes hahah
SO TRUE
when trying to pickup motion in film, should you just lower the shutter?
yeah! helps to have your subject never leave the center of your frame (by tracking them)
loved the photos! Unrelated but I would also love to know where that bedspread is from!
target bedspread from years ago!! hahaha
Nice job dude !
thanks!!

And can you recommend it?
Im looking for something I can take with me, you know
Batteries included

Is that Sean Hazen?! (there's a typo in his ig link, I think) Freakin LOVE his work!
thanks for catching the typo!! it is him!!
I know you mentioned it before but where'd you get that LED light? I love it!
it's a generic DJ LED light a client gave me ages ago!!! no idea what the brand it tho...quite literally no text other than "MADE IN CHINA" on it lol

thanks!!
that shot at 4:46 is amazing!
thanks fam!!

hahaha not quite, but thank you fam!!
What app are you using to meter the light in the beginning?
my light meter pro!!! it looks like an app from 2009 hahahaha
Question!! Where did you get the LED light from?!?!?!?
link in biooo

Reminded of Blue Nights by Joan Didion :o)

What film stock did you use for the super 8? 500T?
how do you meter in those lights?
mylightmeterpro app just metering the hot points!

What did you use to meter the light? Just a phone app? Which app?
Can you make a video about how to finde the environments to shoot ?._.
i'll see what i can do!
What is the led light you're using??
How can you still shoot with light this low ? What was the aperture/shutter speed ?
800 iso film at f/2.8 and 1/60th...it's doable!
