I’m almost 62 and have been cooking for a REAL long time.
I have learned SO MUCH from you, and I’ve made several of your recipes. Every single thing I’ve made has been fantastic!!
Really appreciate you! ❤️❤️
Thank you so much.
Thank you so much I have to make so much gravy because my husband has had radiation for his lungs and the radiation scarred his his throat he can't hardly swallow anything so I have to make sauces and gravies to make slide and also I have to cut up a lot of stuff very small thank you so much again❤
Oh my gosh I so needed this video! We're almost out of store bought beef gravy mix & I'd much rather make it from scratch. Thank you so much for this video! Have a great rest of your week!!! Can't wait for your next live!
Love having these! My son, when he was a little boy would always call country gravy, "good gravy", and get so excited when we had it.
So practical, and a great way to save money over buying those little packets!
This is awesome!! I usually just make my own gravy, but my son oldest son always buys the packets of gravy mixes. Just wait till I tell him that I can make him some gravy mix!! Hahaha, this will be great!! Thanks so much for Sharing Renee!! God bless you
Have you ever slightly browned your flour before adding it. Gives it a added flavorful taste. Excellent video. Very clear instructions.👍
Renea, thank you for sharing these wonderful gravy mixes, how easy, and perhaps a bit more healthy than what you can buy in the store. Enjoy the day! Catherine
Another terrific pantry staple. So convenient and cost affective too💜
Thank you Brenda. I am going to prepare all 3 of these. Need to get some jars. Made your Amish poor man's steak today with ground beef and pork mixture. It was delicious. I had only 1.45 lbs so adjusted other ingredients except I did use 2 cans of soup. I like gravy.
This is just what I need in my pantry. I will be making all of these. Thank you for sharing.
I just love your videos and all your real homemade meals and your money saving tips💜
Thank you Terri.
I didnt see the written recipe for this but wow that looks amazing and I do want to try it for my own pantry. Going to try to stop buying the packs of stuff like the brown gravy and taco seasoning and onion soup mix. Just way better for me and my family to not have all the chemicals and stuff you cant pronounce! Thanks for all your videos you go thru stuff very well and makes us all want to try the things that you do :) Have a blessed day!
I was buying simply organic by the pkg and now they have tripled in price. Now I make this! Thanks.
Looks yummy and your fancy shmancy
flowered ones are adorable! 👍👍👍
Hi Renea!!! Oh I like when you make the mixes. I have to do them for sure. Thank you for the recipies!!! A fan and friend. DiDi
Thank you, Renea, I'll keep those in mind. When I make country gravy, I make a roux the usual way then add a cup of milk and a cup of water stirring until it starts to thicken. The result is a very smooth, creamy texture, and it is so awesome on biscuits.
Great idea. I love making gravy but never thought to jar the ingredients. Thank you for these tips and recipes I will definitely be adding this to my spice cabinet💜
You’re videos are inspiring . Thank you so much for making them. Nothing pretentious about you very down to earth.
thanks...now I want a country fried steak or chicken gravy and biscuits. .nite nite
Thank you, Happy New Year!!
Love DIY mixes! These look great and you know I'm gonna make some. Thanks Ms. Renae for sharing with us. :)

@@LittleVillageHomestead I just realized I transposed the ea in your name...I'm sorry Ms. Renea. (You can imagine how my names gets misspelled!!). I'll have to do a video of two using your mixes in recipes. :)
Thanks, Renea... Great video and great kitchen hacks!!!!❤
I tried your hamburger helper mix. I've used the mix twice now. The family loves the meals I made with it. Got to make these gravy mixes now.
Renea,
These mixes would make a beautiful gift basket addition. Along with some homemade breads/rolls. And one of your Beautiful Cookbooks. God Bless You. Thank you.
Love Tamson
What an awesome Christmas gift idea, Tamson! Can I "yoink" it from you? The idea, I mean?

This is great! I buy knorr Selects bouillon that has no MSG or preservatives. This will save me $ and protect me from migraines.
awesome
Thank you for this gravy recipe! I have to try this out.
Hi Renea! I love your channel! I've made many of your recipes and they were outstanding, my family loved them. I've searched your video playlist to find the homemade dry beef bullion crystals and can't locate a video on how to prepare it. Perhaps I have missed it? Would you be so kind dear lady to post a link to your video. It would be very much appreciated. Thank you and have a great day!
I love this! Thank you. First time viewer.
Hello, what a wonderful recipe for gravy mixes. We love having gravy with turkey and mashed potatoes. Question did you make your own bullion mix? if so do you have a video on it too? Chicken gravy is good to with stuffing. MMMM making think of the holidays lol thank you for sharing and have a wonderful day.
I have not made the bouillon because I buy it from the Amish and theirs is wonderful, but you can bet your dupa when I figure out their recipe I will give it a whirl...lol
@@LittleVillageHomestead that is wonderful. I looked for an Amish store that is close to us but all of them are about 1 hour away. I believe you will find out that recipe and give it a whirl he he he. love ya friend have a good day. 😁❤😃😂
Thank you!! I’m always buying those expensive packets!
Thank you so much for the recipes, have a great day,God Bless!!!
Thanks so much for this! I'm def. going to do this next week!
Awesome! Thank you Renea!
Thanks for sharing hose recipes. Super easy to make. Have a Blessed day.
Big thank you Renea for sharing😊😊Looks terrific!
You are amazing. For some reason I am not having your video's come up.
Thank you for the recipes!
This is so helpful! Thanks for sharing!
I have a question about the country gravy adding the chicken bouillon and the chicken base to it does that make it taste like a chicken gravy or a white country powdered peppered gravy
Thank you for this!!!!! Blessings
Thank You I will be doing this!
Great video. It's expensive buying the mixes when you need a quick gravy. These will come in very handy. You're awesome.
Renea, can dry milk be added to the mix for the white country gravy? I would love to have an alternative to the Pioneer Brand where only mixing water to the mix.
Thank you. im always running out of store bought packets.
Once winter is over I'm starting my pantry. I'm definitely doing all your dry mix. Thank you for sharing
They make wonderful pantry stock and very low budget... Good for you...Hit lots of sales and in no time you will have an incredible working pantry.
I have had surprisingly a problem finding poultry seasoning that you dont need to take a loan out to buy it. any where you get it reasonable priced
Wonderful idea...ty
Do you make a sloppy joe seasoning mix? Thanks for everything you do
Happy Blessed Wednesday :) Thank You for sharing Your Recipes with all of us :) May the peace & joy of our LORD JESUS CHRIST be with You All :)
You as well and thank you so much.
WOW! What an amazing time saver! I'm making these tonight for sure!
On another subject Ms Renea.......do you make SOURDOUGH BREAD? I've looked for a recipe that doesn't take days and days to make and I'm SO frustrated. I guess I was hoping you made this bread so I could beg a recipe from you. It would be wonderful if you did have one. I have a starter already perking, but no clear recipe on the bread making part.
Anyway, I loved this instructional video and will be making it tonight! Blessings from Louisiana, MO!
I have a video on Sourdough bread. It will take at least i good day to make but it is absolutely delicious and you will love it. Here is the link.

I add a little nutmeg to my chicken gravy mix.
That would give it a very nice flavor.
Thank you I never thought of this, what a time saver. Could you vacuum seal in jars? I keep flour in freezer or fridge for at least two weeks.
Yes for sure you can vacuum seal it in the jars...The dry mix that is...
Of all the ingredients that you concautioned in these recipe how much of them did you grow in your garden to make up those ingredients? See I get fustrated because when I go to do a recipe I have to stop and run to the store to get them to add in when I have to figure out how to grow them trying very hard to be self sufficient as possible. ( Sorry for venting on you).
Loving the gravy mixes, I absolutely LOVE the large plastic spoons and cups you have hangover up. Where in the world did you find them?
The Amish Store down the road from me. I love that place.
@@LittleVillageHomestead man I wish we had that store here in texas.🙄
If you want the measuring cups and spoons you can order from the Amish Store or I can get them and send them your way...Look under the Chit Chat where I took you all along to the Amish Store and I listed their Phone Number...Call them, they are wonderful.
@@LittleVillageHomestead I will have to look for the video. Thank you so much. I just have to have a set.
You just saved me tons of money. Store bought is sometimes pretty gross.
Are the written directions for these mixes in your first cookbook? Blessings to you and yours.
No these are in the cook book I am current working on.
@@LittleVillageHomestead Thank you 🙂.
Blessings 🌻
If you worked your math, you could add dry milk to this mix so all you would have to add was water.
Thank you for sharing This! We are working through the last of our store bought gravy mix and I had been wanting a homemade version. Does it matter what type of beef or chicken granules you use? What brand do you recommend?
You can use any brand but not the better than bouillon paste cause that will not work for the dry mix.
This is wonderful! Thank you! Do you think I could use the "better than boullion" paste when I actually use the mix instead of the granules up front? That's what I have on hand, so that's why I'm asking. :)
I have the better than bouillon too but it will not work for the dry mix....
@@LittleVillageHomestead I thought I might be able to use it instead when I actually make the gravy?
@@loves2spin2 Yes you can use it when you make the gravy, But not in the dry mix for storage... I am sorry I misunderstood you..
How do you use this and forgot to put the recipes
thanks, nay
Do you add margarine or butter to the water? Then add mix?
I don't but you can.
Do you make your own boullion? If so how.
No, But now that I have a freeze dryer, It is on my to make list.
i missed how to you make the chicken/beef gravy from the mix?
you use 2 tablespoons to 1 cup water...
I have not had any luck finding beef or chicken bouillon granules. What can I use to replace it with?
You can use a powdered soup base that is chicken and beef. You can find them at Walmart or Meijer. I think Save A Lot even carries them.
@@LittleVillageHomestead Thank you so much! I am definitely going to make these gravy mixes.
What is a good dehydrator
Mine is a Waring, very old, but I love it.
I guess I miss understood. I thought the recipes were below this video but all I see is videos and a cook book you can buy. DID I MIS UNDERSTAND?
No you didn't However, I placed the recipes at the end of the video instead.
@@LittleVillageHomestead Recipes at the end are covered by references to other things.
How much do you use to water or milk?
1/3 Cup and add water or milk to make it the consistancy you like.
I don't see the recipe. Could you post it for me?
The recipes are in the end of the video...
can I use cornstarch instead?
I am not sure cause I never made mixes with it but try a really small batch and see how it does.
Is it plain or self rising flour
Plain
