Hey Jeni, I found a dry pork base in a local Asian market , and used your beef gravy dry mix as a base, swapping out the Marjoram for Coriander. I used those pork gravy packets for a long time, to make a gravy for egg foo young, doctoring them up with soy sauce and oyster sauce. and for my pork chow mein stir fry. I'm thinking it would also work great for pork chops or a pork roast as well... Thank you for the inspiration, and for your efforts... Much appreciated!!!
Hi, you can grind up bay leaves in your grinder by itself or with some peppercorn or allspice. I have the same grinder for almost two decades, it works!
Hi Jeni and Robert! You hit the nail on the head, been looking for a good au gratin mix recipe, this is perfect and other mixes are a extra bonus. I like lots of flavor and I’ve tried some of your recipes already, so I’m sure I’m going to love these mixes. I finally found my guru cooking master, lol. Robert, your the best taste tester. My husband wouldn’t get in front of a camera, maybe behind it, lol. Thank you for sharing and have a blessed night and day!!
This a pre Thanksgiving project for my mom and I. She's 85, so we're going to have fun shopping the ingredients, finding containers and mixing mixes! Woo-hoo. I'm sure Austin has powdered everything in stock. Somewhere.
I just really appreciate your videos - this one especially because there's so many different ways to use these mixes. When I made a beef gravy mix, I used a 1/2 tsp. of Instant coffee granules, for a richer beef gravy flavor. I'll grind the Instant coffee, and add to gravy flour mix. I like it that way. I add instant coffee granules, not a whole bunch of it, to make gravy mix for Swedish Meatballs.
I’m glad to see the one with the dehydrated pots. I dehydrated a couple gallons of these pots and just didn’t know how to use them. Ty ty You become the Queen of Food in my book when you showed us how to use these mixes. I’ll buy your cook book and your DIY sauce n stuff book. Lol Now it’s time to make. I've actually scheduled a day next week to go through my herbs and spices to see what we're low on, refresh my seasoning mixes and all of that. I bet mushroom powder would be awesome in that beef gravy. I got some Worcestershire powder after watching some Pit Masters and how they were saying they put it in their rubs and even horseradish powder. My grandma used to say that Kitchen Bouquet was the secret to her brown gravy. I'm totally adding the Au gratin to my list.
@@TinaKilcup10 If you dry mushrooms to make your own mushroom powder, I strongly recommend shitake mushrooms for the flavor or half shitake and half baby bells to keep the cost down. You will find the best price on shitake mushrooms in any good oriental market.
Hubby just bought me a jar of Alfredo sauce for $1.99 you should see how small this jar is, I almost died. I was thinking we could buy it all ready made cheaper then I saw that and it was like oh no...maybe I can make it cheaper myself so thank you for this. Going to be giving it a try.

I like what you’re doing their index in a cup into a gravy but have you ever sliced hard-boiled eggs and then put them in the gravy and it’s done so they get hot. Get you some nice toasty bread and pour the sauce over this toast over bread. I think they called it hers it called à la king recipe.
Yes, I like to add chopped hard boiled egg to gravies occasionally. I still serve it over meat and potatoes as normal gravy, I call it gravy.
Please tell how you make your dried potatoes. They are beautiful! All your sauces will be delicious. Thank you!
