All I’ve heard is good things about Gemini. the closest one is about a hour and a half, there nearest market from them is 30 mins and not sure if they would hire someone that far though have seen there trucks come through the city I live in but maybe I’ll give it a shot after I build my resume as a fuel hauler would love to work for these guys.

@@KDSTrucking you know how it is, it just takes a little time and patience with LTL. I’m glad you like hauling fuel. Besides you and DB, I only spoke to guys who’ve hauled fuel in the past, but they never hauled for Loves. Everyone I know who’s hauled fuel admires Gemini, though.

Where do you fuel the tanker up at the beginning of your shift? Is it hard too find those places too fuel the tanker? Do you just only deliver fuel or def too only loves trucks stop not little mom and pop gas stations if this makes sense? How hard was it too learn tanker? Were you nervous at first cause it was something different and new challenge? How long was training and how much do you get paid during training? Does fuel get slow since we aren't really producing our own oil and relying on other countries?

@@KDSTrucking I spoke with her yesterday. I didn’t want her to think I was only taking the RLC position just to get a relocation package. My current company offers relocation up to $4k to relocate for internal employees and they’re a lot smaller than Loves/Gemini

Apparently they have brought back the Billings MT opening with a signing bonus now but I think I was getting ahead of myself when I saw it was the only open day shift position. Didn’t really think few steps down the road, my fiancé can’t fly so going home to see family would be expensive and inconvenient

Just depends on the area and what’s available to apply for online . I started on Day working 2-2 , we got 2 new trucks and I transferred to 1 and I’m on days still but I got to pick my new start time , I went with 4-4

How many years do I need, and what can I do to get hired. Cameras. I started driving before the Cameras and bells and whistles that are now forced upon today's drivers. You have to look at the big picture. It starts with Cameras, and you tell yourself I'm one of the good guys, I don't text or do anything unsafe. Companies are going to implement things like Cameras or whatever else they decide to come up with. Question is, do you have a line that is crossed when a company implements something where you say that's not acceptable or is the money and being at home every night trumps everything else?🤔
Yes they will ! All of our trucks are automatic! At least 90% I doubt we have any manuals left . & yes we do have night shift . Shift start times vary between 12 & 6!

If this is what a company pays I can only imagine how much one can make as an o/o. They’re making a killing off drivers. Why not go o/o if you’re putting in so many hrs?
Because some of the drivers are making a 100k plus. By the time u pay your taxes and your fuel cost and any break downs you my half it’s not a big difference just with dispatch. These jobs are to pay you enough to invest in a buisness. Their only working 5 days a week and some 4 unless you want overtime.

Probably, they’ve been hiring a lot out of school because experienced fuel haulers don’t wanna work here , we’re at the Lowe end on the spectrum of pay

How easy is fuel hauling compared to food service. I've been working for gordon food service for a year and a half and I hate it. I'm willing to bet the grass is defd greener
Well , it’s 100x easier lol I drive 80% of the time , the other 20% is standing waiting for my trailer to load / unload . Hoses aren’t heavy at all and most times you don’t even have to lift them that much .
How long did it take to get your hazmat/tsa clearing back. I signed up for my hazmat and twic card did my finger printing etc. They said 6 to 8 weeks was wondering if it's longer or quicker than that from your experience.

@@marjankozovski2763 pay will vary by location so I’m not sure brother it’s between 27-34$ , & experience depends on regional manager honestly, some will hire fresh out of school and then again some will want 1-2 years .
@@KDSTrucking I’ve tried many of the fuel delivery companies and no luck. It costed me a lot of money for the credentials and the license school. I’m thinking about dropping the CDLA no money in it at least not for me.

Weekend split means 3 days you’ll be on day shift and the other 2 days you’ll be on nights , the weekend nights is just 4 day night shift

Most of the good companies want at least 2 years of experience. It proves you won't tear up the equipment....
Bro go to drive OTR for 3 years experience and then think about fuel driving, they won’t hire you with one or two years

How long did it take to get your hazmat/tsa clearing back. I signed up for my hazmat and twic card did my finger printing etc. They said 6 to 8 weeks was wondering if it's longer or quicker than that from your experience.

Hey do you have to work on the dock before coming a final mile driver or do they hire them off the street. I'm trying to get in to SEFL to get my A . I've had my B for 25yrs.filled out app. How long before they call you. Tried to talk to terminal manager but secretary won't put me through.

Only negative thing I’d say is you’re not off weekends unless you been here for a very long time and we work holidays if scheduled

@@marjankozovski2763 pay will vary by location so I’m not sure brother it’s between 27-34$ , & experience depends on regional manager honestly, some will hire fresh out of school and then again some will want 1-2 years .
@@KDSTrucking I’ve tried many of the fuel delivery companies and no luck. It costed me a lot of money for the credentials and the license school. I’m thinking about dropping the CDLA no money in it at least not for me.
