  • Candy Apple TV: How To Make Candy Apples For Beginners will be shown in this video. It was challenging for me to make candy apples as a beginner. I couldn't even get my candy to stick to the apples. My candy would slide all down the apples….lol. I was confused about candy apple recipes to use. Half the time I couldn't get all of my apples dipped because either the candy thickened so hard I couldn't continue to dip my apples, and or I didn't have enough candy to finish dipping my apples. It was frustrating.

    This is Candy Apple TV, and I’m your host Diy Queen Diva.
    However, I learned how to make candy apples 1.5 years ago and love it! Now I use 3 NO THICK Candy Apple recipes for small, medium, and large batches. These recipes will make you and your customers happy! Did I mention ONLY one pot is needed?.....lol A major timesaver!
    Here are 3 common mistakes to easily avoid while making your candy apples. The first two are mistakes beginners make during the apple cleaning process, which are the following:
    (1.) Not cleaning your apples good at the top where the candy apple stick is inserted.
    (2.) Not cleaning the wax off your apples.
    (3.) Not scraping the bottom of your apples to prevent the extra candy on the bottom.
    My favorite apple cleaning method will help your candy stick to the apples because these ingredients work well with removing the apple wax:
    Water
    ⅓ cup Real Lemon Juice
    2 Tablespoons Baking Soda
    1 Tablespoon Salt
    This apple cleaning method really gets the wax and sap off the apples while the inner apple maintains green.
    When you’re just starting out, you want to make about 5-6 candy apples.
    The best recipe for NO THICK candy apples will be using the 4-3-1 candy apple recipe:
    4 cups sugar
    3 cups water (this helps thin down the thickness of the candy)
    1 cup light corn syrup
    flavoring
    The most IMPORTANT THING HERE IS, you will be able to finish dipping your candy apples without the candy mixture getting too thick and too hard before you are finished dipping your candy apples.
    Here's my 3 favorite candy apple recipes for NO THICK Candy Apples you can make in ONE pot:
    🍏SMALL BATCHES: Candy Apple Recipe 3-2-1 for up to 5 apples.
    🍏MEDIUM BATCHES: Candy Apple Recipe 4-3-1 for up to 6-8 apples.
    🍏LARGE BATCHES: Candy Apple Recipe 6-4-1 for up to 8- 24 small apples.

    Hi when doing caramel apple will you have bubbles at top also?

    • @DIYQUEENDIVA
      @DIYQUEENDIVA  2 года назад

      When you insert your candy apple stick you must make sure the top of the apple is dry. Because once you insert the candy apple stick, juice comes out of the apple. Once you dip your apples without drying your apples good at the top it will cause bubbles.

    What do you mean by scraping the bottom? I love your content. It’s helping in more ways then you could imagine.

    • @DIYQUEENDIVA
      @DIYQUEENDIVA  2 года назад +1

      When I say scraping the bottom, I'm talking about scraping the bottom of your apples on the side of your pot. This gets the extra candy off the bottom. Thank you so much for your nice comments, this means so much to me.

    Do you add stick right after cleaning or right before you dip in candy?

    • @DIYQUEENDIVA
      @DIYQUEENDIVA  9 месяцев назад

      Both, depending on what I am doing. Lately, I have been adding the stick in before I clean my apples to save time. Don't put the paper straws on until after you are done cleaning your apples if you put the sticks on first, because you'll damage your paper straws in the water.💕

    How much water should you put in a pot when cleaning the apples?

    • @DIYQUEENDIVA
      @DIYQUEENDIVA  2 года назад

      Hello, MCB. That's a great question. Halfway will be good or just a little under halfway. Just make sure you rotate your apples all over. I hope this helps you.

    Hi
    What do you use when you do not have wilton's white.

    • @DIYQUEENDIVA
      @DIYQUEENDIVA  2 года назад +1

      Hi, Thea. I always try to have Wilton's white the majority of the time. However, any white gel food coloring will work. My preference is just Wilton's white.

      No. I usually by them either from my local Farmer's Market, Walmart, or my local grocery store. You can find some good small-medium sized ones in the bags as well.

      Yes, but you can go down one. Medium is fine but try going down one since your candy keeps burning. Your stove must gets too hot. Is it an electric or gas stove?
