Just watched it... yeah... You gotta laugh at the irony a little bit, I mean first All Might loses to Guy who trained his body since childhood and then Deku says the same thing as All Might before losing to Asta who trained his body since childhood.

The greatest irony is that All Might's best pushed Guy to use the Gate of Death, a lethal technique, to win the battle.
Here, Deku's best killed him, as he couldn't handle the strain in his body.
Even though these two are such popular "rivals", they'd prob would have the best friendship

Should I watch Black Clover? I like the Shounen genre and heard if you like generic shounen then I should like this show. Is it a really good anime?
I understand that Asta does yell a lot but....he's not the only character who yells . Backugo can't speak a sentence without yelling. When doesn't Vegeta yell? That man has never spoken at a normal decibel level

And it still wasn't enough... :P Ironic they both lost to characters that are uniquely disconnected to a power system; Guy's student Rock Lee can't use Ninjutsu or Genjustu (Guy himself chooses rarely to use either in order to support Lee) and Asta can't produce mana or cast magic spells.

They used All Might after weaking because oft hat injury. 100% from current All Might would be like Prime All Might using 1.6 percent using the calculations of 1/60. That means that Prime All Might can destroy a city with a flick of his hand using 2 percent.
Deku didn't even get to use all of his quirks, he used less than half. On top of that he didn't use the 2 reality breaking quirks he had. Why would they not let him use his most powerful quirks? Those quirks are specifically Fa Jin and Gear Shift. He would of won with those quirks.
They also used feats for Asta that where from his MANGA.
The feats they used for Deku was from a freaking movie that's half canon.
In addition to all of this why didn;t Danger Sense activate when Asta was about to bring the swords down. The whole battle made no sense and Deku should of been able to defeat him. Especially when Asta couldn't use Devil union since his 5 minute limit struck. And don't even tell me about Deku's hand because he still had another one.

Even as a huge MHA fan who knew absolutely nothing about Black Clover, I still knew Deku was gonna get his ass beat in this fight. Even now he can’t really go all out without breaking himself apart in the process so it was really just a matter of “Can Deku hit hard enough in one full strength blow to kill Asta?” And the answer here is simply no.
I love Asta's Goku logic at the start of the fight, "Just got to hit him really hard."
The start of the fight was a funny nod to the fact that Asta wins his fights with superior strategy while MHA fights boil down to who can hit the other guy harder

Hey, Asta didn't get buff out of nowhere, he's been training since he was a little kid and made a promise with yuno to become the wizard King, there were flashbacks, and became buff by the time he received his grimoire
When Deku said "You wanted my best, here it is", I feel like it's a callback to All Might vs Might Guy. All Might said the same thing. Deku being a student of all Might and also inheriting One for All, that was a nice touch

Asta didn't kill Deku, it turned out that Deku died after he gave it his all. This is why Deku didn't scream when he got impaled because he was already dead.

Death battle really downplayed how powerful asta is. Even excluding abilities/techniques he learned
Even if he didn’t need them like he did, he would still use it anyway just cause he wouldn’t hold back against anyone. Though he could beat deku in base pretty easily with only needing to maybe go black asta

easy win for Asta.. Asta didnt even need to go Black union mode. Deathbattle made it as close as possible by leaving out so many of Astas feats. Surprising to see honestly. This was an easy win for Asta
Also, union mode isn’t his strongest form anymore
Not necessarily as in the manga it was stated by Lucius the only way around anti magic is physical attacks so it’s not that far of a stretch but asta does outspeed

I like the parallels for their characters. Assumed nobodies with no powers, prodigy rivals that they grew up with that seemed to be blessed. Inherited a power that was much too big for them and they had to learn how to make it their own. Took what was a simple ability and figured out creative ways to use it.
But one for all was the greatest/strongest quirk anti magic grew *with* Asta intact he even beat Liebe with one ARM who created anti magic Asta is half of anti magic while liebe is the energy asta is a he cannon,

I felt like they downplayed deku by giving him only 3 moves to use, and i had a feeling they would go wigh, deku cant control his powers yet bs.
@@zerronprime9683 tbf this was made before most of the new stuff came out. They only had time to mention them in the analysis and not in the fight animation. Regardless, the result would still remain the same and Deku's difficulty to control his powers never became a factor as they never really brought it up ost analysis

@@lutherholayeahme7449 It's been stated that Vegito is stronger than Gogeta because the fusion dance limits your strength. After all, both Goku and Vegeta have to be equal in strength. As Vegito, they can go all out because the earnings don't require Goku and Vegeta to be equal in strength

@@sethgibson5148 That's not what I meant. Let me give you an example, let's say that Goku's strength is 50, and Vegeta's strength is 45. To use the fusion dance Goku would have to lower his power to match Vegeta. So Gogeta in total would have the power of 90. But the fusion earrings, it doesn't require you to match each other's power. So Goku would have to lower his strength, meaning that Vegito would have a strength of 95.
This fight should be even close. Asta is beyond Deku power abilities. Plus they forgot Asta Black form.
No they didn't. In the manga Asta is able to use Devil union which is him fusing together with Liebe. It's a lot stronger than his black form.

I think this is something worth noting, even though it probably doesn't change the outcome. Gear shift doesn't only makes the target faster, it can also slow them down without affecting their inertia. With this deku could slow himself down to avoid an incoming attack and quickly speed back up, or he could slow down his opponent.
Even then the difference in speed and power between the two is so large that the amount he'd have to slow Asta down and or speed himself up would likely overclock the quirk itself.

Fun Fact: Deku died when his eyes turned white after using His Plus Ultra. That’s why his Danger Sense didn’t work and he didn’t scream in pain after getting skewered by Asta’s swords

Asta is my absolute favorite protagonist but Deku was before him; they both got me into physical training. I love both the animes and mangas but in my unbiased opinion (even though Asta is my favorite) it should have been as close; Deku has gotten physics defying quirks recently but Astas light speed blitzes and black divider spell should have been lights out for Deku. Death battle forgot to mention that Asta literally expanded his demon dweller sword to the SIZE OF A SKYSCRAPER (NO CAP!!) AND BASHED A NEARLY COUNTRY SIZED MOON LIKE DEMON SPELL OVER TO ANOTHER CONTINENT!! Like cmon

There is supposed to be a movie of black clover coming soon to Netflix so there's that but the manga already came back. I imagine the anime to continue shortly after the movie is aired
