I actually do have a possible solution! If we could get the right politicians to endorse a bill that will create a special government police that are placed into each city for the purpose of policing the police. Citizens will be provided with a number. The Citizen will call that number before stopping. After stopping, the federal police show up and protect the citizen. The crooked cops will be arrested for violating the citizen's rights! If enough people were to rally on this issue, it will get done!

Generally you can say the police have a pathologically need to feel obeyed . Makes no difference if the police command is ridiculous or even illegal, refusal to obey and/or questioning an officer sets them off psychologically. At that point, many police forgot what is legal and try to meet their psychological need to be in control and be obeyed. This should be an important subject to discuss in basic police training while in the academy.
when cops screw up in this manner they deserve to be charged, relieved, and have their criminal records marked for life because that is exactly what they do to innocent people all the time

I used to tell people I had this happen to me in Houston all the time because I look Hispanic (Dad is American Indian) and often called "Boy" or "Spic" before the days of cell phone cameras, etc. Most people didn't believe me because this could never happen and these days there is plenty of proof on the internet.

I lived in Colorado for 10 years. I got pulled over by cops for the most petty reasons.. like walking down the street and a cop pulled me over because he said I looked “suspicious” and questioned where I was going and where I came from. Cops in Colorado will give you a ticket for J-walking.

An FBI report of Feb. 2006 revealed that many US police departments have been infiltrated by "white" supremacists. Yet, nothing has been done to rectify that. I Googled that report a couple of times and read through it. The issue should have been taken care of quickly. To not remove the racists who may well be the cops who murder across the color line, to me, indicates no concern for the abuses and murders heaped on others.

When you're targeting a certain demograph of people, it's not from a lack of training. The cops are behaving exactly how they train each other to perform these stops. It's a pretextual stop and from there it's a fishing expedition. What's their reasonable suspicion? Two black males driving slowly thru their neighborhood. Sounds pretty ordinary and mundane. But that's how much leeway they allow themselves. They can turn any ordinary thing into some kind of reasonable suspicion, in their eyes. They're trained to write their reports with all the jargon to make it look official and on the level. The sad truth is once they've laid their eyes on you, your going to be criminally charged with something. If they absolutely can't find anything, they'll just arrest you for resisting arrest, because you might pull back knowing that you've done nothing wrong. But that slight movement of your hand away from theirs will get you a resisting charge. Which should be impossible to get, if there's no legal reason for the arrest in the first place. And sometimes they'll throw in obstruction too, just for more aggravation. Cops need oversight and need to be held accountable. The law should apply to everybody.
When the same "mistake" happens repeatedly, all over the country, it isn't an anomaly. That's training and culture.

First of all, there's no situation on this planet that's ever going to be made better by racists. Giving a racist a badge and a gun and all the authority that comes with it is a recipe for disaster. There should never be any tolerance for racist police officers, never.
As for the stop in this video, if the law is followed, all of the charges should be dropped. Even if they are valid charges. The law prohibits people from being charged if the police had no legal reason to make contact in the first place. Two people driving slow in their own neighborhood should not equate to reasonable articulable suspension. I know the cops will try to justify it by saying it's what gang members do. Well it's what a lot of people do. It's not illegal to drive slower than the posted speed limit in a residential neighborhood.
As for politics and politicians, it doesn't matter which political party they belong to. They're all crooked. They're in it for their own personal gain, and for whoever is paying them. They aren't doing anything to help regular people.

+Paul Ransom it depends on the state, in TX ive been pulled over and just say my license # so he can look it up and had no problem. in CO it seems you can be fined for it, but charges are dropped once you can prove you had a valid license.

Some years ago. An officer stop me for no reason. I asked him while he stopped me. He got to yelling at me. . Get out the car. I never been in no trouble He had the dogs in the car looking for drugs. I don't like taking doctor medicine. He didn't find nothing. I had no warrant. I was in my way to the hospital because I was sick.

Apex Zone They gave no reason as to why they were being detained. In America, that is illegal. There's this thing called rights that all citizens have. Keyword, all, so yeah there is no reason to detain someone in the manner that they did, it's illegal, and unlawful. We as citizens have a right to understand why we are being detained. We have the right to ask, and we do have the right to answers. Criminology, and political science two good courses to take.

His brother got pulled over in a high crime area and he was driving slow in the area. When the Officer approached he should have identified himself as a police Officer and stated the reason for the stop. When the Officer asked the driver for his driver's license and he stated the he didn't have his license on him. This was the actual cause of the officer pulling the driver out of the car. The brother in the passenger side made it worse and escalated the situation more than it should've been. Everyone with a camera phone and internet education on what their rights are makes is worse for themselves. When you start arguing with a law enforcement officer from the beginning you have changed the whole dynamic of the stop in general.
The officer should of gave him Ticket or Warning. Then told the Passenger to drive them both home.

I understand that people have the right to record the interaction with a police officer. But why do they resist or run from the physical part of being cuffed or patted down. All the fighting will take place in court. That what it's there for. You just make things worse for yourself.

Major issue in the U.S. but people in power ex. police . police depts, just turn a blind eye to it, to save face. Problem is its rarely addressed, they call it police policy and it never goes back to the law and bill of rights, its like police policy and assumptions and hearsay is the law, its not. Its a problem and needs to be changed, we are not all suspects or terrorist, out to kill police. But the cops eyeball us doing everyday things ,just waiting to jump .way to gung ho and have an attitude, that they are self righteous and can do what ever they want, and the system only protects the badge .in a system meant to protect us from them.
