There are too many stories about fake police to have the confidence you're being pulled over by legitimate police. I have been chased by a personal truck in plain clothes in Blount County, TN. It happened years ago a cop had road rage because I passed him when he was going super slow in a lane that ended further up the road. He chased me without lights or anything in his personal vehicles and called his on duty buddies to pull me over. I was speeding after he started chasing me, I was on my way to a place I could have people to help me in seconds. Next thing I know I am surrounded by 10 cruisers and they couldn’t even give me a ticket.
Unmarked police units are not supposed to be pulling over people for traffic violations. I believe the Texas law states that the Police vehicle must have the lettering of the Department in clear view. Also those under cover cars are supposed to be used for under cover operations. I.e drug busts or any other under cover work but not traffic violations.

I have been chased by a personal truck in plain clothes in Blount County, TN. It happened years ago a cop had road rage because I passed him when he was going super slow in a lane that ended further up the road. He chased me without lights or anything in his personal vehicles and called his on duty buddies to pull me over. I was speeding after he started chasing me, I was on my way to a place I could have people to help me in seconds. Next thing I know I am surrounded by 10 cruisers and they couldn’t even give me a ticket.

Unmarked police units are not supposed to be pulling over people for traffic violations. I believe the Texas law states that the Police vehicle must have the lettering of the Department in clear view. Also those under cover cars are supposed to be used for under cover operations. I.e drug busts or any other under cover work but not traffic violations.

Texas Rangers was once an outstanding law enforcement agency, judging by this officers actions their standards have fallen to a very low point, road rage,lying,pulling a weapon does not warrant the respect of the public. If this man is still employed by the Rangers, oh how the mighty have fallen. A true shame for the great state of Texas.
