    Here's the thing: Unmarked vehicles SHOULD NEVER be used to conduct traffic stops. Period. There are too many stories about fake police to have the confidence you're being pulled over by legitimate police. In this case, if that Ranger had his gun out prior to contact - for a traffic stop - it sounds like termination is the corrective action.

      I agree and seen it for myself. Had cops intimidate me numerous times for doing lawful things that they don’t like. Such as questioning why they showed up instead of an ambulance I called for an injured man along side the road and the 3 cops refusing to take him to the hospital themselves. Even had them show up at my door for calling that same cop out online on a public website and then making up false reasons for coming to my house. Citrus county sheriffs office.

      He also said that he had to take evasive action to avoid being hit, but the other driver didn't cross the center line. Break that down. If the Ranger had to take evasive action to avoid being hit, the two cars had to be in the same lane of traffic to be close enough to collide. If the other driver didn't cross the center line, then that means the Ranger *did* cross the center line into the driver's lane. Even his lame-ass lies admit to guilt, but he wants the other guy punished.

    My mother's stepfather was a retired Texas Ranger. He had a calm demeanor, was highly self disciplined and had a trim physique until the day he passed away. He was the toughest man I ever knew, but would literally give you the shirt off of his back. This current crop of " peace officers" generally speaking, aren't fit to even carry his shoes.

    I have been chased by a personal truck in plain clothes in Blount County, TN. It happened years ago a cop had road rage because I passed him when he was going super slow in a lane that ended further up the road. He chased me without lights or anything in his personal vehicles and called his on duty buddies to pull me over. I was speeding after he started chasing me, I was on my way to a place I could have people to help me in seconds. Next thing I know I am surrounded by 10 cruisers and they couldn’t even give me a ticket.

    Regardless of the situation, the ranger doesn't have the right to pull a guy over, get out of his truck, show a weapon, and demand that the other guy gets out of his car. Recklessness, abuse of power, lying, the full nine yards. Need to have more separate panels of review for this kind of stuff. A non-biased panel that reviews just the facts and the way I see it, (& probably the law as well) waving the middle finger doesn't justify this response or any close to it. Just keep driving and live another day folks.
    Side note: What about when this happens to an armed citizen? If I were in this situation I would draw and fire as I'm concerned for my life. Then what? I go to jail for killing a crazy cop who charged me like a crack-induced criminal? Ridiculous.

      @@keywalker8916 He should have been charged with an aggravated assault - for needlessly pointing his weapon at someone. So desk duty is a slap on the wrist - for someone who should have been fired, and then sent to Prison.
      And it sounds like he provoked the incident to begin with. Drive like an idiot - people are going to pass you. Do it deliberately - they're gonna flip you off, while they do so
