@CosmicFlow111 i don't think so, but even of you viewed it as throwing shade at Kobe and Lebron by acknowledging he may pick Durant over both, that's still a sign of respect towards Durant.

@CosmicFlow111 yeah, I'm pretty confident you are misinterpreting this. It's as simple as he's asked to pick between the two supposed best players, and he said Kevin Durant and then laughed because Durant wasn't one of the choices.

or maybe he jus views the game the way that other people should. he answered the question based on winning, and based on pure dominance/skill as a player. when comparing players, he knows that some people value winning more, and some people value individual talent more. the people that value winning more likely have mj and kobe ahead of bron. the people that value all-around talent more likely have bron ahead of the two. he understands that winning is a team accomplishment tho, or else he would have outright said kobe. mj is not afraid to voice his opinion, so i doubt he said this about bron just to “be nice.”

The master aka Teacher will always favor their Apprentice/student over their non-apprentice/student. Kobe was Jordan’s Apprentice/Student. But both were the Perfect balance for one another. Both have that killer work ethic, both were and are dedicated to the craft. But Kobe always over work himself, Lebron always went out of his way to make sure he didn’t overwork himself. Kobe since day one when Lebron entered the league always respected Lebron because he knew Lebron was just as dedicated to the game of basketball just like him and Lebron was the exact same thing in terms of always showing and giving Kobe The highest respect never once bad mouthing him or him in anyway shape or form. Again both balanced each other out. Both were so very different but at the same time both were so very close to being the same. When Kobe and Lebron were in the League together the 2 things they had in common were You would never out work them and you were never study them. Side note both had steady long-term relationships in the from of being with same Women for Decades and being dedicated Family Men.
Another side both came in to the League straight out of High School not college. But I must say Lebron had it Much harder than Kobe because Kobe Besides Jordan had Mentors in the form of Laker Legends and had Shaq and had a Coach name Phil Jackson the Same Man who Coach Michael Jordan. Hall or Future Hall of famers to learned and be Mentor from. Lebron had none of that. He had no mentor, no Cleveland Legend or Legends, no hall or future Hall of Famers, no legendary Coach. In conclusion Kobe has more Rings but Lebron had it much harder to get to where he is compared to Kobe because Kobe had hall of fame Mentors to learned from. Lebron had no hall of fame Mentors to learned from.

@@bsp5689 😂😂😂 don't play, he dominates here and there and all of a sudden he's the goat?
I can find hours of LeBron footage where he is just standing around playing 0 offense and 0 defense. He is so used to complaining to the refs that even when he misses a wide-open jump shot or a free throw, he throws up his hands as if to blame someone else because he is so used to doing that. I can find countless times where he blamed his teammates for everything even though he has had stacked super team after stacked super team and has still blamed everyone else (unlike Jordan who built a dynasty with only one top 75 player on his team ever). LeBron chokes in the clutch like crazy. even with stacked super team after stacked super team he barely has 4 championships. He requests trades for players after blaming them for losses trying to play GM.
Let's list players that were truly greats that never did that: Jordan, Kobe, Russell, Wilt, Olajuwon, Duncan, Bird, Magic, and on and on. These people had true legendary status, they were the first in the gym, last to leave, took their teams on their shoulders, and didn't sell them downstream when it was convenient for their image and THAT will always keep LeBron out of the discussion and once he retires and the media campaign to prop him up dies, his fake GOAT debate will die too.
The only stats you LeBron fanboys have to cling to are a result of longevity. Well, I have news for all.... Age for age, Luka and Jokic are both smashing LeBron statistically. Once they are older, LeBron will be in the dust to a couple chunky white boys.
