I don't really have a problem with KD joining the Dubs. What I do have a problem with is him acting like the 2 rings with them puts him at GOAT status even though he left and they got another. He's the most delusional player in the NBA.
They eventually won in 2022. That speaks volumes on how good that team was without KD. They also won in 2015. Having said that, I think that the 2017 GSW is the best team ever assembled.
God that 2017 revenge season after choking a 3-1 lead as Warriors fan was so sweet. We went from hated to despised in a single day and one signing and I loved every second of it. The amount of complaining and whining about them being too good was something I never thought I would’ve seen from a Warriors team
A ring is a ring. KD's career is better with Golden State than if he had stayed in OKC and never won a ring. But not all rings are made the same. Dirk's one ring is worth more than KD's two, which is why Dirk is ranked higher oat imo
I’m a Mavs fan and I’ll say KD is more talented than Dirk, but I agree i rather have Dirk because of his loyalty and the fact he could lead a team (an old team basically on their last chance btw) on an impressive run to a championship
Exactly. KD is a champion and nobody can take that away from him but he’ll never be in the GOAT discussion like he recently brought up. He made his bed and he needs to be comfortable laying in it. Curry will always be higher up on any GOAT discussion compared to KD.
@@deeblachvlogs5836 Mavs had one more chance in 2014. That roster is overlooked bc of an early first round exit but they took the eventual champ Spurs to 7.

Him joining the warriors ruined an all time rivalry between bron and curry. They was at 1-1. Imo bron was going back to back. But KD shifted the balance. Also, the reason why people criticize Durant is not because he left OKC he left them to the team he JUST choked a 3-1 lead to in the playoffs. If he woulda gone for example to Houston with Harden and beaten GS to a ring, it woulda been legendary.
As much fun as the KD warriors took away from the league as a whole, as a warriors fan it was really something to see that version of KD on a nightly basis. He was a monster
I grew up less than a mile from oracle arena, Steph was drafted the year I was born and I will never forget this era of not just nba history but my life. They put Oakland on the map and I will forever be grateful to have grown up in this city at this time. (2017 warriors are clapping 96 bulls btw)
The Raptors beating the Warriors in 2019 will forever be unforgettable. It was such an awesome moment similar to when the Spurs got their revenge on Miami Heat in 2014.
Question: What if KD stacked the deck again? Request a trade to the top 2seeds in each conference and stacked the deck again after that? Then enters the GOAT DEBATE
No one knows , its game 1, even kawhi didnt get hurt, warriors still win in that series cuz curry, klay and kd still hungry in winning championship rings no one cant stop this trio
The warriors didn`t need KD, they won before him and they won after him. KD needed the GSW so that he could be the guy after Harrison Barnes and the guy before Andrew Wiggins.
Maybe the history said that they didn't "need" KD, but I doubt they will ever win in a series against Prime Lebron and his healthy team. In 2022, LeBron has passed his prime. In short, they need KD to beat the LeBron Cavs, specifically.
If the Warriors didn’t need him, they wouldn’t have signed him. You’re also forgetting that the Warriors lost their last 3 games in the 2016 finals because they were figured out, they were not going to make it past the second round without KD those years that they won. The 2015 Warriors and 2022 Warriors are extremely different teams so this argument makes no sense. Let’s also not forget that the 2015 Warriors faced an injured Cavs team while the 2022 Warriors were an even weaker team than the 2019 Raptors. They are not considered a dynasty without KD, everyone will just say they have 2 fraud rings.
Dmn. Even up to now, enemy fans were traumatized by the warriors esp. 2015-2016 up to 2019. Fun times! 🎉Coming from a TRUE lakers fan and not just bandwagon lakers fan
Although everyone hated it at the time you have to admit that the style of basketball they played was some of the most fun and efficient basketball we will ever see.
Yep they both needed each other just to beat Bron. That 2015 title was Bs due to those injuries. When the cavs were healthy they beat GSW. So clearly KD and the GSW both needed each other. Idk why people can't see that. Kyrie and love don't get hurt in 2015. Cavs prob won those back to back. And would've made KD move even more logical. Nobody would be saying what they are saying now
Ya’ll can get triggered all you want but it’s the truth. I agree the cavs looked strong and bron definitely had a good shot at carrying the cavs forward. He clearly proved that. I’m not a Lebron fan at all but the proof is in the pudding.
bulls had the best offensive and defensive rating that year which the Warriors couldnt even achieve. They even have a better defensive rating 101.8 vs 104 and a similar O rating 115.2 v 115.6. Bulls in 6

@@CG-vn8iy Today’s rules are much softer. Rodman and Jordan are fouling out, their bigs won’t be fast enough on closeouts, they’ll get outscored in one half and Pippen (who will be their most switchable defender on the floor) will be 40 feet out guarding Steph Curry, Kevin Durant or Klay Thompson while Draymond is getting an open layup. It’s just how the game has evolved.
Not as dominant on offense or as feared...that 2017 warriors team put fear in teams after game 1...the foe realized there are no adjustments you can make...you just have to hope they miss and hope you make..you can't double curry or kd and you can't attack or shoot over their length on the perimeter constantly...
Raptors beat them twice in the regular season (both times, the Warriors were 100% healthy). It's just a shame that BOTH teams were so crippled for the Finals. Raptors were without OG (their most versatile defender) and both Lowry and Kawhi were playing with injuries (Lowry had a hand issue requiring major surgery and Kawhi injured his leg/knee at the end of the Bucks series).
@@Paulafan5 at that point warriors did not take the regular season serious at all. When kd came back against raptor for that 1 quarter they were destroying the raptors. Plus they got raptors to 6 games and only started losing when klay got injured.
As painful as it sounds, losing Game 7 in 2016 was a blessing in disguise for DubNation. All that loss did was unleash an active volcano on the rest of the NBA. Kevin Durant's arrival signaled one thing. "CLEVELAND YOU'RE A DEAD MAN WALKING!" Not to say the Cavs weren't pushovers, they had come back from 3-1, and most of if not their entire 2016 team would be back in 2017. However, I must admit this. The only time I've never ever gotten nervous during a single playoff run of any of my teams was the 2017 Warriors. I made the point that this team may never lose again. Their only loss was Game 4 of the Finals where the Cavs got off to a ridiculously hot start and never looked back. Other than that game Game 3 against Cleveland, and Game 1 against San Antonio were the Dubs ever in a position to lose a game during that postseason. 2018 I thought would be more of the same. But then we realized that the Houston Rockets were going to make us earn every minute of that series. The Chris Paul injury was a big blow, but thats not why they were eliminated. The Rockets got beat at their own game. The 3 ball. You tried to copy us Houston, but to no avail. And by the way, enjoying missing 27 straight 3-pointers. The Finals was a coronation other than the overtime epic in Game 1. Once JR Smith didn't know what he was doing, the Cavs were dead on arrival. 2019 would be considered a What If by most Warrior fans, but to be honest, they got outplayed by Toronto. When you lose all 3 games at home regardless of who is out there, thats not a good look. I know KD was hurt, and Klay tore his ACL in Game 6, but there's no excuse to go 0-3 at home especially losing the final game at Oracle to lose the series. I do think it was best that KD left for the Nets only in the sense that both he and Steph wanted to prove that they could win a title without the other. Durant hasn't really come close other than in 2021, and Steph was able to win it all in 2022. That team like the 2015 Warriors had 30, 11, and 23 leading the way with their Strength in Numbers motto of unsung heroes making key contributors helping them out. Who knows if the Dubs will make it back, but I must say this. Boy, what a joy it was to watch those teams, especially 2015-18 play.
so much bout kd but u cudnt once speak abt how gud curry was during this period. all the gud part of the team u spoke abt was circling around kd and all the bad part around curry and the splash brothers. lowkey sad. are we really gonna forget how curry inhibited his own growth in ball for the overall team success. he cudve have played like how he does now way back then too. with insane finishes at the basket. hes just more than wht stats can show. and cmon he averaged just 2 points less than kd in the 18 finals. the main focus of defense was curry.
Agreed! Most overpowered, but... After think about this post like a month, when I saw it for the first time, I'm really not sure if this team can beat the 2014-15 for a simple reason: KD team is overpowered in relation to any other team, but not the own Warriors teams, that also have the 73-9 with unanimous MVP team (2015-16) on package. 2014-15 didn't had Durant, but had Barnes, Bogut, David Lee, Shawn Livingston, Leandro Barbosa, Festus Ezell, Andre Iguodala, Justin Holliday, Speights, Brandon Rush. It's so much more flexibility, pick and roll, defence capacity and even the deep bench roster is way better than Durant team. And they also have Curry, Klay Thompson and Dreymond Green.

This was a great Documentary. These Warriors Destroyed the entire league like a videogame. It was literally up to the rest of the league to construct their teams to beat the Warriors. I remembered this like it was yesterday.

I don't really have a problem with KD joining the Dubs. What I do have a problem with is him acting like the 2 rings with them puts him at GOAT status even though he left and they got another. He's the most delusional player in the NBA.
He always gonna be Goat status no matter what the fans say.

A great video with lots of great information.
Information about durant
as much as it was snake for kd to join them, the value he provided proved they also needed him
They eventually won in 2022. That speaks volumes on how good that team was without KD. They also won in 2015.
Having said that, I think that the 2017 GSW is the best team ever assembled.
@@baskeplaye0092015 only won because of major injuries. 2022 was one of the weakest championship rosters EVER.
The most fair assessment of the KD / Warriors saga i have heard yet.
Is this a Warriors video or a Kevin Durant video?
Kevin Durant is the one who made them Over Powered.
God that 2017 revenge season after choking a 3-1 lead as Warriors fan was so sweet. We went from hated to despised in a single day and one signing and I loved every second of it. The amount of complaining and whining about them being too good was something I never thought I would’ve seen from a Warriors team
Greatest Offseason Signing Of All Time!!!
This video was littiraly about KD rather than Golden State Warriors
By far, my favorite series are the Rockets vs. Warriors. The history, the animosity, the differences in styles, just a great combination.
Finally, a video that isn't completely biased or criticizing anybody. It's just explaining what happened.
Dirk beat prime wade and bron he deserve that gotta give it to Jason terry too bro went off couple games
@@deeblachvlogs5836 KD is better no doubt. But Dirk is greater. Dirk has faced countless 50+ win teams (I think more than anyone, if I'm not mistaken), he beat the defending champions LAL, OKC, Portland and the Heat. Dirk is not better, but he's simply greater by far due to that.
keep on going for your amazing videos!!!
"Because he was Kd it worked" 🥶🥶🥶 (12:45)
As a Houston fan watching all the series from 2015 to 2018 - 27 missed 3s gave me sleepless nights
What I liked about this warriors team was their bench, those bench guys were also great and most of the time score a lot when they have the lead.
Let’s be honest KD would not have a ring without the Warriors. The Warriors would still have multiple rings without KD.
That Cavs vs Warriors was turning into one of the greatest rivalries of all time. KD ruined it for the fans
I think he played with Harden before and wanted something new
Steph was the best player on those teams. The record with and without KD and Steph makes it obvious.
As much fun as the KD warriors took away from the league as a whole, as a warriors fan it was really something to see that version of KD on a nightly basis. He was a monster
KD please come back to us you been struggling, we been struggling. Make it happen
KD and the warriors was special 💯 bron bron fans/cavs fans still bitter 😂
in 2018 steph deserved the fmvp. its not even close
I grew up less than a mile from oracle arena, Steph was drafted the year I was born and I will never forget this era of not just nba history but my life. They put Oakland on the map and I will forever be grateful to have grown up in this city at this time.
(2017 warriors are clapping 96 bulls btw)
most definitely. they would destroy the bulls. the only people that say otherwise are oldheads with nostalgia.
what made these Dubs teams so special was you had 4 stars that were so unique in what they did at a level of efficiency the league has never seen.
The Raptors beating the Warriors in 2019 will forever be unforgettable. It was such an awesome moment similar to when the Spurs got their revenge on Miami Heat in 2014.

There is something called "in the moment" and they definitely needed him for those 2 years... plus the nba world changed since he left...don't be dumb
Lebron with healthy teammates beat them before and after durant...they needed him
If the Warriors didn’t need him, they wouldn’t have signed him.

@@INaanBread Put it in a what if perspective.
Raptors beat them twice in the regular season (both times, the Warriors were 100% healthy). It's just a shame that BOTH teams were so crippled for the Finals. Raptors were without OG (their most versatile defender) and both Lowry and Kawhi were playing with injuries (Lowry had a hand issue requiring major surgery and Kawhi injured his leg/knee at the end of the Bucks series).
nah, the bench sucks
13:45 "the raptors couldn't throw all their defenders at steph" one of the coldest lines
I’m sure KD regrets joining the warriors.
so much bout kd but u cudnt once speak abt how gud curry was during this period. all the gud part of the team u spoke abt was circling around kd and all the bad part around curry and the splash brothers. lowkey sad. are we really gonna forget how curry inhibited his own growth in ball for the overall team success. he cudve have played like how he does now way back then too. with insane finishes at the basket. hes just more than wht stats can show. and cmon he averaged just 2 points less than kd in the 18 finals. the main focus of defense was curry.
KD followed a principle
’If you can’t beat them, join them’
Can you please make a video about some centers
They can never take that from the Dubs. We have Steph, and 4 rings. The Core will continue to be in the Best Team conversations!!💯💯
