some people dont regard it as one of LeBrons best season. I think he meant the regular season was underrated as it's forgotten due to the fact he didn't win mvp
among my colleagues, 2018 is only remembered as the time Lebron got swept in the finals and how the East was weak at the time. I guess that's how socmed affects people's perception
Agreed. 5 LeBrons wouldn't even fight over the ball, since LeBron 4 and 5 can just play defense in the frontcourt while LeBron 1 and 3 handle the playmaking with LeBron 2 shooting everywhere.
I remember watching the cavs in 2018 and was disappointed when dwade didn’t do more as a playmaker. When the playoffs rolled around, I realized that I was witnessing true greatness. Nobody could dominate like that. He truly can step on the gas pedal when he wants to.
You gotta highlight that game 2 of the LeBronto series was not just a blowout, but a devastating blow to the Raptors morale. Lebron was blowing them out with fading, heavily contested, and deep 2's that the Raptors WANT him to take later in the 3rd and throughout the 4th!
I was at that game. As a Raptors fan I was demoralized but as a basketball and LeGoat fan I was going crazy! Legit witnessed him take the game over while he was hotter than a burning house. That game is forever a great memory for me personally.
I'm a recent basketball fan and this was the first time I followed a team throughout an entire playoff run. I truly witnessed greatness 🙌🔥 and I've been a LeBron fan since
This is what I needed right now. Just like LBJ, I am carrying a bunch of head scratchers just to get us out of this semester. I don't know if I will be able to do this but I just need to go into full on Lebron mode right now.
We need to accept reality bruh Father time is unbeatable. Bron can still have 40+points but not on a consistent basis anymore. AD was suppose to be the option 1 but he's made of glass sadly.
My favorite Lebron's playoff run was the 2012 one because it was when I just started hooping so I watch all of the Heat playoff games on Live tv. I got to witness when he straight up kill all the Cetics in that game 6
Imo one of the 2 best playoff's performance from James was game 2 vs Toronto (and the other one was game 6 vst the Celtics in 2012). His 2nd half was magnificent.
2015 was a similar situation. Kevin Love got injured against the Celtics and Kyrie got injured in the first game of the finals. His best teammate ended up to be Timofey Mozgov averaging 14 points in the series. His first finals too were a bunch of role players. Only Larry Hughes was reasonable.
He was more active on the defensive end in his heat days, but that's understandable with age. But offensively this was the most lethal lebron we've ever seen. When he gets his jumper and mid range game going like that he really is unstoppable
yes. i was looking for this video and it finally showed up to me. when it comes to lebron's prime times, everybody talks about 2012/ 2013 era. that's not true. the real god mode was in 2018 play-offs.
I missed a very important piece of information: if I remember correctly, he played all the 48 minutes in that game 7 in the TD Garden. Cavs were trash without him on the court.
This year 18 Lebron to me is why he is the greatest of all time even tho he aint win the chip, imagine if he got lucky like giannis and kawhi and the warriors got hurt or he faced a bunch of injured teams. It was that 2018 season that made me strongly consider lbj to be the goat I couldnt believe what i was witnessing game in game out truly a basketball god 🤯
I remember during the Warriors series, people were giving him shit for occasionally taking it easy on defense, or switching off the ball carrier in order to catch his breath on the court. He was facing the Avengers-like Warriors team, while running the entire offense, being the top scorer and playmaker, all with little to no help and playing nearly full games with barely any rest time. He also led the entire playoffs in points and assists and minutes played, but unfortunately, people will overlook that entirely and only focus on the fact he got swept by an insanely talented and superior Warriors team.
@@mrboombastic63 Yeah, if he just play the most of the games, he would be on the mvp and also if they won most of the games. Westbrick whose salary is 30+ million dollars putting up a below average role player stats. We can see the 2018 lebron in 2021-2022 reg season lakers.
2018 Lebron was amazing, that Game 1 performance was the best version of himself! A warrior cornered but still outdueling everyone, fighting for his life at every second. If the Cavs stole that game, it was a different story. My brother said it best, “Lebron is turning into Michael Jordan” seeing him score time and time and time again in that game, unstoppable!

Also with all of Cleveland behind their back at the Q in games 3 and 4, they had a chance to go up 3-1 even. But the way game 1 ended was so ridiculous that even in overtime, the Cavs and Lebron totally fizzled out
Even though the Pacers and the Celtics were inches away from ending these 2018 playoffs. LeBron played out of his mind in 2018, came up clutch when needed most and more importantly, carried a team full of scrubs on his back to the NBA finals

Dude scored so many points and was so clutch throughout the entire playoffs.

That game against the warriors in the finals when he scored 50 points, has been the greatest human effort I have ever seen. The way he dominated 5 hall of famers and lose in overtime is just hilarious. with that cast of nobodys, this guy scored 50 and lost in ot. nuts
Is it really that underrated? Everyone arguing on the LeBron camp in the GOAT convo always brings this very season up. Basically traded away literally the majority of the team in the middle of the season, led them to 50 wins and carried them to the Finals.
Definitely a beast season. But the roster construction is on Lebron. He ran Kyrie off and brought in his washed boys who couldn't play defense. The Cavs then tried to trade for youth which obviously didn't help either. Very similar to the Lakers this season.
I wouldn't call it underrated in the slightest. The fact that people are seriously arguing whether or not this is his best season of LeBron's career (or the best version of any player ever) makes me believe it's the most overrated individual season ever. The only season that may be as overrated is 1962 Wilt.

This is why I’m someone who believes lebron is the goat. I completely understand why a lot of people say Jordan. But to say I’m crazy for saying lebron is ridiculous. Could you imagine if Jordan dropped a 50 point 8 and 8 the bulls would win the game against any of their final opponents by 20 and its an all time great game. Lebron drops a 50 point 8 and 8 and his team loses.
Two things. Wade trade was a mistake. You know that in finals Dwayne would sacrifice himself to win another ring, especially with LBJ. I do not care about the reasons why he was traded. He still had fuel in the tank and he knows how to win in big games. Second thing is that Lebron injured his hand after game 1 of the finals. That affected his game. I saw how he missed multiple easy layups and could not figure out the reason for it. If it was not for the hand i think he was ready to play 48 minutes in every game and average 40+ points just to have a chance. In my opinion if Wade was in Cavs and Lebron was healthy the finals would have more intrigue in them. Not saying that Cleveland could win in 2018 but they could won one or two games.
After that 2018 playoffs I had Lebron as the best player I’ve seen (was Kobe.. never watched Jordan play) it was pretty fun watching him go off even though I’m not a Cleveland or Lebron fan.
I think this was the peak of iq and athleticism for bron. Iq is basically beyond coach wise and he still had someone one of a kind athleticism. Iq might go up every year but so does athleticism. I think this was the best overall
What makes me depressed to see the "2018 Bron"? Without a ring! For the fact that he was so ultimate and complete in 2018 and nothing is rewarded for the finals, it feels so weird. It’s like Oliver Kahn parried everything for 🇩🇪 in the 2002 World Cup and in the end the final lost against 🇧🇷. 2k18 Bron was like a unrelease szn from his Heat times in a CAVS Jersey. Said it before and I’ll say it again, Jordan maybe the greatest when you factor in influence, globalization of the brand and the iconic shoes. But when it comes purely down to basketball and who’s the better player, it’s LeBron. No arguments whatsoever. Well-rounded game, defied the odds more times than you can think of throughout his career. Even with all the hate, the scrutiny and the pressure.
Miami LeBron was that dude, but his statistical output wasn't peak because of Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. 2018 LeBron... oh my lord. That man is a MONSTER.
It was absolutely amazing seeing bron go on that MIND BOGGLING run ..... that game 1 in the finals...dam man , bron was hooping like the basketball gods were guiding him...that JR Smith mistake just completely deflated all the energy he had left from that insane up hill battle just to get there.

My favorite Lebron's playoff run was the 2012 one because it was when I just started hooping so I watch all of the Heat playoff games on Live tv. I got to witness when he straight up kill all the Cetics in that game 6
I mean 2018 Bron is up there so many game winners, insane shots and clutch plays that year
What a year that was. I have nothing but respect and love for lebron. Go Cavs!
Imo one of the 2 best playoff's performance from James was game 2 vs Toronto (and the other one was game 6 vst the Celtics in 2012). His 2nd half was magnificent.
The 2018 playoff LeBron was the best playoff version ever.
2013 Lebron was the best overall
2015 was a similar situation. Kevin Love got injured against the Celtics and Kyrie got injured in the first game of the finals. His best teammate ended up to be Timofey Mozgov averaging 14 points in the series. His first finals too were a bunch of role players. Only Larry Hughes was reasonable.
it's hard to get these Cavs LeBron jerseys now.
He was more active on the defensive end in his heat days, but that's understandable with age. But offensively this was the most lethal lebron we've ever seen. When he gets his jumper and mid range game going like that he really is unstoppable
It was something to watch man it was basically 2012 bron with a developed game crazy
It was so fun watching him carry the Cavs in every game. And completely destroying the raptors was hilarious
2018 playoff LBJ is just crazy. I was so in awe that I could get my eyes off the TV

As soon as i seen 2018 Lebron i immediately click that szn was arguably the best i eva see him play & im 26
This was the last season that I closely followed the nba, Lebron during that season was just greatness. It was easily his best year
I remember during the Warriors series, people were giving him shit for occasionally taking it easy on defense, or switching off the ball carrier in order to catch his breath on the court.
His numbers were so crazy this season

2018 Lebron was amazing, that Game 1 performance was the best version of himself! A warrior cornered but still outdueling everyone, fighting for his life at every second. If the Cavs stole that game, it was a different story. My brother said it best, “Lebron is turning into Michael Jordan” seeing him score time and time and time again in that game, unstoppable!

@@redeyexxx1841 they could have done it, psychology. By winning game 1 away, they proved that their enemy is human and bleeds. Also goinf back home with a tied series puts no pressure on you. This is true in game 7 against Boston he played every single second of that game
He very literally _couldn't take a break._
Is it really that underrated? Everyone arguing on the LeBron camp in the GOAT convo always brings this very season up. Basically traded away literally the majority of the team in the middle of the season, led them to 50 wins and carried them to the Finals.
And dropped 51 on golden state game 1 and wasn’t for JR would’ve got the win
Definitely a beast season. But the roster construction is on Lebron. He ran Kyrie off and brought in his washed boys who couldn't play defense. The Cavs then tried to trade for youth which obviously didn't help either. Very similar to the Lakers this season.
I wouldn't call it underrated in the slightest. The fact that people are seriously arguing whether or not this is his best season of LeBron's career (or the best version of any player ever) makes me believe it's the most overrated individual season ever. The only season that may be as overrated is 1962 Wilt.
@@cuiveirwin how is it overrated? Tell me the player that averaged 34 9 and 9 for an entire playoff run.
Watching him that season was like watching a god among men.

Said it before and I’ll say it again, Jordan maybe the greatest when you factor in influence, globalization of the brand and the iconic shoes.
