These are super cute, I guess I missed this video. So glad I found it. This is a project that can be started now and make many of them for my fellow sewing group members for the Holidays. Your videos never get old. I enjoy and watch them again and again. Thank you Debbie.
Hi Debbie, What a pleasure it is to watch you work, I came across you a couple of days ago looking for cushions to make and found your smocking ones, I used to do these cushions many years ago when my children were little but have since forgotten all about them, I was delighted to have come across them in this wonderful world of computers. and you have given me inspiration to have a go at making them again, I also like many of your sewing ideas and am truly hooked. Thank you again for making me a happy bunny. Regards Mo Wilkins
That is one of the easiest tutorials ever for a mannequin pin cushion. I always wanted to made one but the pattern I found involved four pieces. This is so much quicker. Thanks. I'm going to try this out asap. Thanks Debbie.
Hi Debbie, you my most favorite crafter. I have been sewing for many years but watching you has taught me to slow down and my work will have a better finished look. Thank you so much.
Absolutely love these! They look really fun and simple and omg a functional purpose! Thank you Debbie for sharing your creativity, and your very clear instructions!
I love this video! Love the pincushion, and I love the dog, and the way Debbie talks! At the end where she says, when you're Stabbing your mannequin ...lol!
This is so lovely, what a wonderful idea! That's why I just made my own mannequin pin cushion - Mademoiselle Pinnie. She wears pins, a small scissor in a fixing pin, a thimble on a pin, needles, and a small spool of thread. She looks so nice! Thank you for this video.
Thank you for the tutorial! The little mannequin pin cushions are just so darn cute! Plus it's a simple and quick project. Love it and love your channel as well.
Those svelt (Lol!!) pincushions are just sooo cute! Love the tutorial and I can't wait to make a couple for myself. Thank you for the wonderful tutorial!
Saw this yesterday and ordered enough to make several for my sister's and granddaughter. It's super cute and very useful thank you you're amazing as always x
Thankyou for all you lovely videos. I'm especially impressed with the way you draw your shape. I've just bought myself a dress form so I can make clothes and a pin cushion like this will look great along side 😀
I like these! I've only made the tomato shape pin cushions before. A trick I learned is to stuff the cushion with wool to help keep the pin points sharp longer. It's a bit more pricey. But my pins and needles last longer. Can't wait to make one of these. Thanks Debbie! :D
Not a problem, you sell as many as you like! Try making some with flesh-coloured fabric at the top to look like it's wearing a strapless dress, with a bit of trim around the top of the dress, or paint the post to match the fabric and tie a bow around it...
I love it! thank you so much for sharing these with your fans!! I am a big fan of your work! and I think everything you make are the best!!! love from Argentina!
just darling what a wonderful gift idea for those friends and family who sew as well. I adore your videos and Alfie is such a helper.. LOL PS I liked the oven mitt being used to rub Alfie, I think I'm going to make a few for family members who home shampoo their 4 legged family members. no batting I'm going to use flannel on one side and thin towels as the inside of the glove. what do you think?? good idea huh! will post this on that toot as well. thanks again Debbie. CarylAnne in TX
Thank yo so much for the fun videos. I plan on making mannequins very soon. Oh and I love the fact that you have a dog critic as well as a glass of wine. A girl after my own heart.:)
Hello! I found you as I was watching a friends' video on her maniquin pin cushion! I absolutely thank you so very much for making this video as now I need to dust off my machine and have a go at it!! I love them all you have done but love the gray/black polka dot one and turned over pot!!! Will subscribe to you and continue to watch you! Thank you so much! Have a great weekend!!
I just finished making a bit of a large mannequin pin cushion for a friend thanks to this video. And I have the fabric cut to make myself one this week. I am going to make a miniature apron to go around the mannequin waist for myself and the one I am going to give as a gift tomorrow. I stuffed mine with fabric scraps, leftover batting, and walnut shells. The shells are supposed to keep pins and needles from rusting. They also add weight to the base to keep them from being knocked over too easily. These are so much better than small tomato pin cushions. The pins always slip too far into the cushion and I get poked from the bottom too often.
I've had a go at making this very useful mannequin but my poor girl looks slightly deformed! At least she makes me smile when I see her. Thanks for being so full of inspiration and easy sewing tasks as I am neither competent nor confident at sewing. I hate hand sewing but adore machining. I've already made 3 of the reversible bags from one of your previous tutorials and I'm quite proud of my achievement. - all thanks to you! What next? xx
Think you maybe right there, definitely a storage cube and a nice cover for my new machine. Meanwhile, I'm hoping to turn a bedroom into a hobby room. Not sure I'll fit my paints, card - making, photography and sewing stuff in it though! But I will try. xx
I love this, I made a few but my favorite one is made in a red bandanna type handkerchief material, I made a denim small apron for it with pockets I clip hem things on it and I glued it into a green plastic strawberry produce basket to hold bobbins and such. I have a farm and she fits right in as a working girl lol Thank you!
Debbie, I just love this and I'm going to try it. Your dog is so cute, I have 3 boxers and a chihuahua that stay right by side all the time. Thank you for sharing. Alleta
I wasn't a fan of Chihuahuas, but I began to love them when my son brought one home. I'll tell you, bath time is a breeze, I bathe him in our sink. No more back aches. However, he doesn't enjoy bathe time, so ever once in a while he will show me his teeth, ( grrrrrrr), lol
I´m decorating one now with buttons and belt and so on and I use old candlesticks for the post. Thank you so much you really are amazing :) (if you ever need a test sewer let me know)
Debbie, me gustan mucho tus videos, aunque no entiendo bien el idioma eres muy didáctica, me encanta cuando enfocan a tu perrito, parece ser un buen compañero de tareas! Felicitaciones!
