I don’t have that sort of ruler so you can make a template that will save time marking out the 6 ‘pie pieces’. take a piece of paper cut the same size as your circle and fold in half with edges together so kind of like a half moon shape. Now bring the folded edge over so making 3 even triangles (they’ll be layered on top of each other so now 1 pie piece). Crease the folds hard when you are happy they are even, then unfold and you have a template without having to use a ruler. You can go in and make little marks for your 1 inch either side of the crease marks. Hope this makes sense! Thanks so much for your great tutorials.
I love these storage bowls!! I decided to make a larger version using a 16” circle for table centerpieces at our 25th Wedding Anniversary Vow Renewal. I will send you a photo when I have them completed. I am so excited!!! Thank you!!!
Your technique of cutting into the center to turn the sewn circles right side out is so much easier & better looking in the end, since there is no need to stitch the circle closed while keeping the circular shape. I made different sizes drawing around my cooking pot covers.
Hello! I just got to sit down and watch with a quilt project in my hands. I very much enjoy your content on your channel. I hope you have a joyful day and a wonderful week planned. Thank you for sharing this video, your time and your talent.
I'm going to make some as Easter gifts for our girls, fill them with mini eggs etc but show they could also use it to put their hair clips and rings and things in xxx
Thanks for this video, Debbie. I made one of these y'day but from a different video. Having seen yours, I decided to watch it and very quickly noticed you had some very useful techniques, ie sewing the full circle and then cutting the fabric in the middle, to turn out through which, exactly as you mentioned, it IS very difficult to sew the hole to keep the circle. That was the main difference I noticed but such a great tip. I have to say, I machine sewed the last bit, where you sew an inch of each pocket. It was easy enough to do, just folding adjacent pockets out of the way. I did try hand sewing but, because of arthritis in fingers, some of which don't bend any more, it was quite difficult to do, so back to the machine LOL I'm going to make a few for Christmas presents, for friends, but also will make some for a hedgehog charity and a cat charity, to sell, both Christmas fabric and hedgehog fabric. Keeps me out of mischief ;) 🙃 Thanks again, Julie
Could you simply sew straight across 3 times? Instead of sewing 6 2 inch lines? Beautiful! Will be making as gifts. Thank you for sharing your talents.
I plan on playing with this by looking for a container to sit in the center. I can think of a couple of uses for it. With a dish in the center one could add colored Easter eggs in the outer pockets.
Yes, sew like you are sewing on a button, but sew one stitch on the edge, one stitch off. You need a very narrow zig zag, zero stitch length, and the feed dogs down.
What other interfacing or wadding can I use as haven't got G700? Only have fusible fleece and heavyweight fusible interfacing and also calico. What is calico?
Hi Debbie, thank you for another fun project. I wonder if you could tell me where I might find instructions to make the fabric house behind you......I'm not sure what it is but it's very pretty. A fellow dog-lover :)
Hello Debbie. I am interested to know how you sewed your hexagon mat together. I am making a hexi quilt that looks like yours and haven’t figured out how to sew them together. I would like to do it by hand. Can you suggest a thread that would be strong enough for the purpose?

This idea is great Debbie, and I can see a gorgeous little pincushion plopped right in the middle....thanks very much for the idea.

Love snipping in the center of the fabric.,Thanks.
You always come up with the most adorable projects. Thank you so much and give Bobbin a hug for me.
Love your videos, so clear and relaxed, makes me feel I could sew, well I want to! Thanks 😀
Great. I’m going to try. Thank you.
So cute and so fast! Think I’ll use this as a project with a little sewest in the making.
I love this. Tomorrow I’m going to make this with my granddaughter. Thank you. From Australia.💕
Debbie, thank you for this cute, easy project! I'm going to make these for my granddaughters and fill them with treats for Easter.

Love them both.
I really like those! I can’t wait to make myself one.
Love this! Looks are so deceiving, it looks complicated but so simple!
I will give it a try

Thank you Debbie for a great tutorial. Love them.
Thank you so much Debbie! Just love these little versatile baskets.....I have already made one and about to make another for Easter gifts xx
I just made one of these today, I done a 8" circle. I am going to make a big one soon to fill up with candy or christmas nibbles.

Thank you Debbie, another beautiful, easy and fun project :)
Thank you! Fascinating to see how this cute project is made!
Can't wait to try it thanks
Wonderful!thx!❤

So very cute!
Can’t wait to try these Debbie. Can they be washed?🤔🤩🤔
Fun! Thank you!
Thank you for sharing 👍🏻👍🏻😊🤗
Thank you Debbie. Am thinking Easter themed fabric and chocolate egg nests for the grandchildren!
I love it. 👏🌹
Also can I stitch on the sewing machine the bit that you hand sew.
That would be perfect for gathering eggs if you have 7 or less hens! Place the make in a basket. Thank you, Debbie!!!!
These are beautiful. Was wondering which interfacing you used? Please . Also can I get it on your website?
Sorry if silly question. X
I love your projects and especially like the ironing pad, did you make it or buy it? Just found your video on your ironing pad can't wait to make one.
This one I bought…
Lovely project. Can you share what grade of interfacing you used?
Not sure what you mean by grade?
Is this project in one of your books? Thank you for your help.
No just here I’m afraid
Hi Debbie, I don't have Vlieseline G700, I only have H640, H630, Thermolam. Any of them do for this make. Or heavyweight interfacing.
Hi Debra at the end when you hand sew ...I hate hand sewing could this be done on the sewing machine ? X
I’ve not tried, but feel free to give it a go!
Yes, sew like you are sewing on a button, but sew one stitch on the edge, one stitch off. You need a very narrow zig zag, zero stitch length, and the feed dogs down.

What ruler is that please
I still think I would hand sew the hole closed as am giving it away as a Easter gift with chocolate bunny and eggs in it xx
You can fuse the hole with sesm tape too.

That’s a member project for my Half Yard Sewing Club, glad you like it!
@@debbieshore Thanks for the reply.....it's much appreciated and I will look at how to join 🙂
I HAVEN'T GOT G700, WHAT ELSE CAN I USE

I just used a Gutermann sew all thread..
I’m not finding the sizes but I will guess these look cute fun to make
I believe it can be any size circle you like. Just make them all the same. Try out different ones and see which suits your needs. Hope this helps 🥰
I don't understand the 60 on ruier is it on every ruler.
I didn't notice interfacing being used in the video.
Where is the discription box at
