I agree the price is unjustifiably high from many sellers. Buy it for Fuji’s suggested retail price if you can. I went to my local camera store, and asked to be put on their waiting list for a new X100V. They didn’t promise when they’d have one for me, but only two months later they called, saying they have a silver one if I still want it. Minutes later I went to the store and bought it, at the same price you paid for yours three years ago! Buy local whenever you can.

I have literally been wishing my F could record RAW with the digital teleconverter. I have ordered the V and now this has convinced me I made the right choice

I've shot olympus since 2005, but the 100 series caught my attention with the f model, but I always thought the fuji lenses across the board were lacking compared to m4/3. But I gave in 8 months ago with the 100v. I carry this camera so much my wife calls it my mistress.

Had mine for a couple of years and love it. Almost like using an old rangefinder film camera from the 60's. PRICE - Samy's Camera in Los Angeles still lists it at $1,399 - but out of stock at all their stores - "MORE COMING SOON". Hopefully.

Great honest review and beautiful sample photos, i do wonder though, are these straight from the camera, or did you edit them?

I want an X100V like many other photographers.
There is no way I’m paying a premium for this camera. I’m also not going to be out on a waiting list for six months to buy a new camera at MSRP. My solution is wait until the X100VI is released. I’ve read on line the estimated date for the announcement is 2024. I will wait for the VI.
I am looking for IBIS. Hoping for a new battery. There isn’t a lot Fuji can add that will improve this camera. If you aren’t buying a Q body there aren’t a lot of choices. Until the announcement I’ll make do with the wonderful cameras I already own.

Great video. Fuji is having their X-Summit in April and I can only hope they announce a successor to the X100V.

I’ve got a Fuji XS10 with couple lenses. But I would like to buy X100V (little pricey) 2 000$. I hope X100V worth it

Fuji cameras are not my favorite anyway, but in my opinion the X100V in particular is a hype victim. Crazy expensive camera, with bad AF and even worse MF, a fixed lens that’s only an f/2 (2.8 equivalent), and mediocre RAW quality (like any Fuji these days). It’s strengths are the aesthetics, the size and the JPEGs (like any Fuji camera). If you want a Fuji, the XE-4 is the way to go. Equally capable and with interchangeable lenses plus is cheaper. If you shoot only RAW (like me) Sony is better. I have the a6000 and the a7C, both paired with TTArtisan lenses, and my photos are looking 100% like film thanks to Lightroom. I don’t need an overpriced X100V for that (and btw, both a6000 and a7C are as small as the X100V and with a vintage lens are looking equally classic).

The X100V is highly popular only because of American RUclips, which made it into an Emotive “Feel Good” Camera for seasoned pros, and also the wannabes who love aping the Joneses.
The price is REASONABLE only if it had IBIS. At this price level and super extreme over-hype, its silly for such a competent device not to have IBIS.
