    Thank you so much for this!! I've asked Staples and Office Depot because I can't figure it out how to do it online other than a blueprint? And they don't ever seem to know what I'm talking about. I tell them copy shop file. A0. For sewing patterns? And they just always look at me like they have no idea what I'm saying. So I've given up. I appreciate your help a lot!

      Yay I’m so glad this helped you!! I’ve been so hesitant to even try Office Depot or staples
      For that exact reason! I love getting them printed here! Never anywhere else!

    So helpful! I just bought a pattern online for the first time and I saw people commenting they were sending it off to the printers. Thank god for google and RUclips so I could quickly learn what all the meant and how to do it myself! I’ve always avoided online patterns bc I was afraid of taping them together wrong or printing the wrong ratio. Thanks!

      I totally understand, it was overwhelming for me at first as well but with a little practice and learning it becomes so much easier! I’m so glad this helped you, thank you for watching!

    Thanks for this video. I just bought a couple of patterns yesterday and thought I'd try the copy shop printing option. I went to the Staples website and they were going to charge me $44 for only one pattern!! It was 6 pages, but still! This was perfect timing for me. I'm going to check out the shop you mentioned. Thanks again.

    Once you get the pattern at home, what if you want to have different sizes on hand and don't want to buy multiple print jobs? do people trace out the size on something else?

    • @mysewbliss
      @mysewbliss  Месяц назад

      Yes, I typically trace the pattern if I want to keep the main copy in its original form.

    I was using Staples to print my pattern, however after paying between $9-$14 for a pdf pattern for a pants pattern with four pieces I was charged $30 for one copy. I think something is wrong. That’s more that I have ever paid for a pattern in my life. I’m not sold on this copy shop format because of the cost.

    I'd like to have this printed at a copy shop, but in Adobe, I can't figure out how to get my pattern layout to a large format. It is set up for my home printer. Any suggestions?

    • @mysewbliss
      @mysewbliss  3 года назад

      Most patterns will come with a home printer copy and a copy for a print shop. So you should have that option if you bought it online. Hope that helps!

      I have only done it from a computer because it’s always so much easier and quicker to do.

    I just bought a PDF pattern and tried printing at home but for some reason my laptop has Microsoft installed and it required me to remove the safety firewall so I decided to go to staples. They had never printed a pattern before or at least the associates working there. I asked if they could select the size I wanted them to print but they could find a way to do it. I know it's possible based if you have Adobe. Anyway I have to go back to pick it up because they take 24 hours to do the printing or you can have it exspedited for and extra fee. So I decided not to pay the fee. I'm paying 7 dollar on top of what the pattern cost me which was not what I intended. This is my second time using a PDF pattern and the 1st I could see the sizes clearly but this current pattern had so many lines it was hard to see which line was which. I'm hoping Staples gets it right.

    I don’t get though. The pattern costs $3 but $8 to print it?

    • @mysewbliss
      @mysewbliss  4 года назад

      It all depends on the size and type of pattern you are printing. Through this site it has been fairly cheap for me and I usually wait until I have a good number of patterns to print before I ship it so it saves on shipping cost. It is a great time saver so I feel it is worth the cost. It is usually cheaper to buy a PDF pattern than a printed pattern for this reason.

    I wonder is A0 printing really affordable in N.America and Britain to say it's so popular? Here in Ireland it's €30+ for ONE A0 page!! So you are talking €15 for a PDF pattern (with Copy Shop pdf), €30 plus for printing it, A minimum of €8 per metre for the fabric we'll say, plus notions.... **sweats profusely** I'll just have to settle for a paper pattern for €12 methinks!!

    • @Loracanne
      @Loracanne 4 года назад +1

      Correction- A0 printing is €40 per page (incl VAT)...AND €6 for delivery. Good grief.

    • @mysewbliss
      @mysewbliss  4 года назад +2

      Yes it will definitely depend on your country!! For this company I think it’s about $1.49 per A0 which for some patterns is really good. Sometimes it’s definitely not worth it but a lot of times I don’t have the option to buy a paper pattern! Thank you for watching!
