I honestly don’t think I will be back to COD again. I mean, I’ve had more fun in the last month with XD than I’ve had since black ops 3 - and that was years ago. This game is just plain fun. It’s the COD killer for me at least.
Unfortunately doesn't really matter what Ubisoft feel towards the game at the moment. Until they sort out the janky netcode and plethora of bugs, the player base is going to continue to dwindle. I sincerely hope they manage to rectify the netcode before it is too late. It has been an eternity now. I love the game but my god it is so inconsistent.
@@davidhardin2856 Brother, your home internet has almost nothing to do with the game's netcode. You sending packets fast and stable enough doesn't change the fact that the game's server has issues processing them. I have 1 gigabit as well and still have tons of shots not registering properly or dying a full a second or two after running into cover. I think this game is fun but this is definitely something they should prioritize over anything.
I'm beginning to think that it's more a problem with some individual server rather than the netcode as a whole. I haven't had a problem with hit registration since the launch of the game, but I've seen some clips where the bugs are outrageous
not to be a hater but im guessing their player numbers are dropping significantly each week. 10 mil in the first 2 weeks, but probably less than a 500k daily active users now. netcode is pushing people away including myself. match making is incredibly slow.
I have cut back on playing. Yes, it is fun and different but I still enjoy COD because of movement. I am always open to try different games but I still have a lot of hope for Xdefiant. I do wish they would have a BR to play something different also.

So for this game to compete with CoD when BO6 drops, this game is going to need some sort of SnD type mode. Obviously the bomb game mode exists from R6. It is all about keeping up with competitors. Standard product differentiation... If someone has two games that are very similar in play style, weapons etc., and one has a certain game mode and the other doesn't, they'll go to the game with the most options. Being a free to play is a big selling point, but to be the game that really competes with CoD in the FPS player space, especially in NA and EU, it cannot just be respawn type game modes. Ubisoft said they're exceeding expectations. How much of this is due to timing, of players being tired of current CoD landscape and want something new before BO6. We all know Treyarch gets tons of love from the CoD community, and for good reason. The community I believe would undoubtedly say Treyarch develops the best CoD games. Who's to say that when BO6 comes out and the subsequent weeks after XDefiant's player base does not fall off a cliff.
Something that would help with player count at least retaining it anyway would be more progression right now there's only a time commitment for master camos nothing else
Xdefiant is doing fine. It's no where near "dying" as other creators have said to farm views. PUBG still has like 500,000 players despite the low view counts in multiple platforms. Apex is the opposite with half the player numbers but double the viewership.

Yea I tweak out every single time I play it, but fathoming what this game could be with where it is at right now is exciting. Just hope it stays fun. I pray to god that this game dont end up like Halo infinite. That game has the exact same issues and released to the same levels of hype only for the devs to struggle to fix the netcode and even when they did 2 years later the game still felt meh, content was lackluster and the game never was able to really make a comeback. XD imo is an even better game, i just hope they can fix it and get enough content out to make it stick. Personally i think the game is in desperate need of a solid 2000-4000 challenges to keep us farming. When the game first came out and we all were enjoying it, everyone i talked to was fairly hyper focused on challenges to unlock stuff. Imo we need a ton more of that. I think even basic shit like get 100-300-500-1000 kills with each gun and then have reward challenges that can unlock say the smily face emojis or other small rewards if you complete say 100 gun challenges and just have them increase. I really enjoy having something to chase in games like this because the game play is fun, but the game does start to feel a bit repetitive if you are just playing to play and have fun with the game. After you play dom on Arena for the 20th time it starts to feel like the same match is being played over and over.
Some kills you showed in your video were straight up bs - thats my biggest issue atm. Hit-detection/netcode/crashes/freezes occour way to frequently. And that stupid loading-screen in the menu when a lobby is found... Loading times in genereal are a joke. Let me do my loadout at the start of a round and dont loop me in that ugly 480p map video because someone plays on a calculator :D Games is fun and i really hope they get things fixed.
Cheaters should have their IP banned, ps5/xbox ID banned aswell. Force them to use vpn to cheat (gives us a better chance with ping), and possibly make them have to get another system, and or hack the ID too.
If you install xDefiant on the Epic launcher, does it still side-launch Ubisoft connect? If it's all straight through Epic I honestly might switch over.

The netcode isn’t even bad. It’s actually quite good, but I may be bias because I’m running 1000 mbps internet lol.

There's a setting to play with gamepad players only. And it's enabled by default to boot!
