Hi there! I'm super super new to it all and did find your video super helpful and easy to fallow! I do have a big problem!. I'm having issues with finding and or making the audio clips I want to use to turn into an alert sound or sound command.. How do you get your sounds?? I have tried using youtube and a converter sight as well as a clip cutter and it worked once and then I couldn't create anymore :( what sights do you use to make them? I have no clue and the sights I was trying I had no luck at all! -Thank you for your time!
You answered some questions I've had for months and I thank you. Now I have another. I have a sound set up and it won't play in my browser or OBS but it'll play in the overlay in streamelements. I did everything to the letter so IDK what's wrong.
Some people forget to hit save on the streamelements overlay and it doesn’t push the sound through during setup until you save it on the streamelements side. As long as it’s saved there and you have the “browser” source setup and activated it should work. Unless you have the wrong link in the url box under browser (obs)
I have followed this to the T and it works perfectly, best part is you were able to remove the redeem from the command. Is there a way to have a chat message pop up with this? If so can you explain how?
@@Special_T06 I just want a message to pop up in chat, I am using a Lurk command that plays a sound and I would like a message something like So and So has retreaded to the back lines.
Is there a way using Stream Elements to do an event sound effect when a perticular user types for the 1st time in stream? Also, Thank you for the tutorial, i definitely needed that shortcut for the sounds.
Thanks for the walkthrough! I've followed it step by step and the browser source is in there and active, the store redeems are present with the sounds uploaded but when I type !redeem whatever --- nothing happens. Despite doing everything verbatim I must be messing something up somewhere >.< -- Edit, I use SLOBS, if that makes a difference, I did the same thing though browser source... hmmm
Hello. It should work the same for SLOBS. Make sure you hit save when you set up the browser source. If not it won't push the information through. Sounds like you have everything set up that should be there from what I can see. I'm a little late but just wanted to make sure this was resolved for you.
Hi so I think I figured out the "audio wont play when I do the command" also sorry its 3 years to late ._. but when you add the browser source don't check the "control volume in OBS" box that messes with the volume and I think it gets confused what you want so if you uncheck that and just let it go through stream elements it will still go through to the stream since you have the browser source just if you want adjust the volume of the sound do it on the steam store command you made. Hope this helps anyone having the issue!
i have done all this with obs studio but the wierd thing is my sound commands are echoing and i dont know where the double sound is coming from i have turned off mic from the camera only use my headset mic and my headset for audio any suggestions with how to fix this issue ?
If you have streamelements website up it could be doubling up from that. Or make sure you don't have multiple browser sources enabled with the same source url from the streamelements site.
I'm having an issue, where I've made a couple of sound commands and occasionally when someone types the command in chat, i'll get the audio for that command like twice...
Hello. Sometimes that can happen if you have the streamelements overlay site (where you set up the overlay for the sound commands open as well.). That can also happen if you happen to have multiple browser sources with the same URL set up in certain scenes. I would go through and check to make sure that wasn't done by mistake or that the website isn't running in the background.
Hi, i have a question. Is it possible to disable the notification that the audio is in cooldown? if the answer it's yes, could you please explain how I do it?
When you set up the individual sounds, there should be an option for sending information via chat under the "item content" section. Uncheck that and it should eliminate the cooldown info too.
Hello! That's interesting. if you click the 3 lines in the top left of the main screen once you log in, there should be a Loyalty Tab. You my have to scroll down on the left while hovering over the left sidebar in order to see it. Does that help?
No just one should be enough. Just make sure you have the command settings correct for that sound or that you’re typing it correctly. Also make sure the scene has the source url if it’s a different scene.
Hello, my overlay works, but i have no sound, i have tried with obs and streamlabs and no sound on both of them using Browser Source, can you help me please?
This doesn't work for me. Copied everything you're doing. Are there any permissions that need to be granted? Or users that need moderator privilages? How to begin troubleshooting this when it doesn't work?
Hello! There shouldn't be any permissions required. Other than making sure the browser source is in the scene. Is the command kicking back a redemption message with the messages enabled?

your videos was the most simple to follow. Thank you soo much
Thank you! This is the straight forward instruction I've been looking for!
This was so helpful, thank you! Now I just need to figure out how to implement a !sfx command and I'm set!
Great video. I look forward to some more of your future tutorial videos
Thanks man!!

thanks mate. been needing to do this and i love it.
Thank you this helped me so much!!!
Awesome video man! Is there a way to add sound commands that require a bit to use?
Thanks! if I’m not mistaken there’s a Twitch extension that actually allows you to use bits for sound commands. I’ve never used it before though.
This was so helpful! Thank you so much
Is there a way using Stream Elements to do an event sound effect when a perticular user types for the 1st time in stream? Also, Thank you for the tutorial, i definitely needed that shortcut for the sounds.
Unfortunately its not. Streamlabs chatbot is the only one I know that does that.
Will the commands work for a multi stream? I stream to RUclips and twitch at the moment
I think so. As long as the modded bot that is triggered by the commands is in both chats.

No just one should be enough. Just make sure you have the command settings correct for that sound or that you’re typing it correctly. Also make sure the scene has the source url if it’s a different scene.

did all the steps sound didnt work for me
What part isn't working? Are the sound commands working when you test in on the streamelements site?
guys, just fyi: an important step is to add Streamelements bot to your channel and mod it. I spent so long wondering why it wasnt working... LMAO
My redeem command not working..it is enabled
Redeem command? What do you mean? The !redeem *sound* ?
For some reason it's not playing my sound :(
nvm I fixed it I didn't have the redeem command enabled.
