Michael's got 4 tattoos that explain what his music is: JR Cash, Elvis, Metallica and Social Distortion. You'll hear all 4 in what he puts out. And sounds better live than in a studio.
Holy shit you just cracked the code for me xD I could feel the Cash/Elvis/Metallica but I felt like there was something I was missing, the SD comparison is PERFECT. I also get big Misfits and Rev vibes from some of their songs too
D Gibbs Volbeat is a great band that's been around for a long time. The best description I heard is its Elvis metal. If u want react to Die to Live, Warriors Call, Cape of Hero. All these are stellar song and this is one of my all time fave bands
Volbeat is a great band! They pull many influences from rockabilly and classic country like Johnny Cash (Sad Man’s Tongue), Jerry Lee Lewis (Die to Live) and Hank Williams Sr. (So Lonesome I could Cry) You would love ‘Devil’s Bleeding Crown’ or ‘Still Counting’!
Seen Volbeat warm up for Five Finger Death Punch, no disrespect to FFDP, but Volbeat blew them off the stage. Great live band; glad you reacted to them. Johnny Cash mixed with metal, who ever would of thought. Rock on, be safe.
Man, I can name countless great songs by Volbeat. They are one of my top 5 favorite bands. I suggest you keep listening and looking into them DGibby. You won't be disappointed 👌🏼
D-Gibbs brother you have got to do still counting next. You will not be disappointed, love your videos brother. Nothing but love and respect, keep up the good work and stay safe man.
Good work Gibby, welcome to Volbeat’s world! I agree with one poster who recommended their song Evelyn. Warrior’s call is good, and for a more obscure one, I vote for Wild Rover of Hell. Heavy, Metallica-inspired song with the catchiest hook. Keep sending the love and positive messages! It’s appreciated these days.
They just took what punk was already doing since the 80s creating psychobilly which is huge in Denmark with bands like The Nekromantix and Mad Sin whom have been around forever. Love that Elvis on speed stuff. So glad I watched this so I can check out more of their stuff!
Bro please react to more Volbeat. There are one of my favorite bands ever and nobody reacts to them. It would be awesome for you to react to " Radio Girl " or " Warrior's Call " by them
Really crazy thing? Volbeat began in the early 90's as a death metal band called Dominus. Vol.Beat was the name of their next to last album and combined heavy metal with their country music influences. Singer still has his growls too. If you listen to the demo version (not the album version) of "Evelyn" that's Michael growling.
Volbeat have been described as the Elvis of metal. Rcokabilly is a mix of old time rock n roll and country. So Volbeat is a mix of old time rock n roll, country and metal. You can also hear some 90s Metallica in their songs. Not my sort of thing but they have become quite popular. Heavan Nor Hell is possibly their best song.
Volbeat has so many great songs I cant even list them all. Doc Holiday,Warrior's Call,Still Counting will only scratch the surface but listen to them if you can.
Don't know if anyone picked up on it, but someone mentioned the Cash influence below. This song is a kind of homage to Johnny Cash "Folsom Prison Blues". Go listen to that song, then come back and listen to this, and you'll see the humor in it. When he sings "And the stories keep on rolling, out from a sad man's tongue", he's just channeling Cash: "But that train keeps a rollin, on down to San Antone". He even specifically says "Johnny Cash" in the song.
Definitely do some more Volbeat. In fact, it wouldn't hurt my feelings if you didn't do anything but Alter Bridge, Volbeat, and Tremonti until you've gone through every song they have.
If you watch a lot of the live versions of this song, they start with a cover of "Ring of Fire". The singer is a huge Johnny Cash fan and that's the inspiration for the opening, as well as the song itself.
Die to live...... Kick ass hardcore Volbeat super hit..... The trick, turn up the volume to maximum overdrive and turn on the song..... You won't regret !
Dude love your reaction to one of my favorite bands, you do daily volbeat reactions I will be here every day for sure. If you really want old rock from their first album check out a pool of booze booze booze
It is called by the proper name, " The Barn-Pit " BTW this band is really good. You MUST do at least 3-4 more songs. They sound a bit different with each song. The Devils Bleeding Crown, Pearl Hart, Dead But Rising, Still Counting. So many good songs by them.
You need a Volbeat journey like your Alterbridge one. Still Counting or Heaven nor Hell are both great places to start, but they do not have a bad song.
Michael Poulsen has the best hard rock and metal voice ever. Nobody can sing like him, and live omg, he is brilliant. Great reaction, keep them coming:-)
Love these guys got to see them live before I moved out of Washington State they are amazing Rockabilly is a style of music that is a mix of old country and rock
Main cat in this band, vocalist and rhythm guitarist Michael Poulsen, is from Denmark...yeah, it tripped me out when I first heard them, (this isn't American metal?! wow...) and they've been around for a while now...Johnny Cash meets Metallica?
Volbeat is bad ass. Check out die too live featuring Neil of Clutch. Their song still counting is awesome. Their influences were Metallica, Elvis and so on.
Tank I'm rocking in this video: amzn.to/2FdxXvg
Michael's got 4 tattoos that explain what his music is: JR Cash, Elvis, Metallica and Social Distortion. You'll hear all 4 in what he puts out. And sounds better live than in a studio.
Cool that you mentioned that, cause I always described them as Cash meets Metallica with a punk drummer lol

Volbeat is known for their complete 180 of genres in their songs, it’s amazing what they can pull off
Volbeat is a great band! They pull many influences from rockabilly and classic country like Johnny Cash (Sad Man’s Tongue), Jerry Lee Lewis (Die to Live) and Hank Williams Sr. (So Lonesome I could Cry)
You would love ‘Devil’s Bleeding Crown’ or ‘Still Counting’!
Agree with most of the requests on here. Their version of “I only wanna be with you” is awesome... and it happens to be me and my wife’s song. 🤟
That song introduced me to VolBeat
That was the song my wife and I walked into our wedding reception to!

It's awesome that Volbeats music can bring people together... You need to hear Guitar Gangster and Cadillac Blood
Do The Devil's Bleeding Crown next!!!
Man, I can name countless great songs by Volbeat. They are one of my top 5 favorite bands. I suggest you keep listening and looking into them DGibby. You won't be disappointed 👌🏼
Volbeat just toured with Slipknot last year. I got to see them and it was great
Warriors call by volbeat is sooo motivating!! Time to ring the bell🔔🥊

Literally same second : kicks off 😅
Best Volbeat tracks as follows : “Lola Montez”, “Fallen”, “For Evigt”, “Last Day Under The Sun”, and “Leviathan”
"We went from Dosey-Doin to Mosh Pit" That was hilarious.

Volbeat pelvis on fire is my favourite song ever you have to check it out !!! Tribute to Elvis!!!
Bro please react to more Volbeat. There are one of my favorite bands ever and nobody reacts to them. It would be awesome for you to react to " Radio Girl " or " Warrior's Call " by them
Nobody seems to go to their first 2 albums either, which is sad imo

Seal The Deal
Dead But Rising
The Human Instrument
My top 3 Volbeat songs 🔥🔥👍🏻👍🏻

You can also hear some 90s Metallica in their songs. Not my sort of thing but they have become quite popular. Heavan Nor Hell is possibly their best song.
Volbeat is just a band with a feel good sound. They always put me in a good mood. Die To Live is a great song from their new album.

It's so cool how Michael sounds like Elvis...
Thank you. Your review made me laugh my a?$ off. Made my day. Now I downloaded it.
Love some volbeat. Better late than never dgibby.
Love these guys! Your reaction killed me 😂
MODERN DAY ELVIS! Lol love it but its all i can think of normally. Warriors Call needs a reaction done to it
I don't go looking for them a majority of the time, but when they come on, I crank it up!! I've said it once and I'll say it again, I love these guys!
Volbeat loves Cash and Elvis !!
They’ve always sounded like if Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley had a baby and it plays metal
Definitely do some more Volbeat. In fact, it wouldn't hurt my feelings if you didn't do anything but Alter Bridge, Volbeat, and Tremonti until you've gone through every song they have.

Volbeat is a criminally under rated band. They are awesome and you can't really go wrong with any of their music. They are very versatile.
Try Warriors call. And welcome to The Volbeat nation. One of the only bands that sound better live than in studio.
Die to live...... Kick ass hardcore Volbeat super hit..... The trick, turn up the volume to maximum overdrive and turn on the song..... You won't regret !
More Volbeat! Heaven nor hell or warriors call next
Bro i have watched this so many times just to see your reaction to the beat drop :D

When he plays this live he almost always intros it with ring of fire
Glad you liked it D-Gibby
You need a Volbeat journey like your Alterbridge one. Still Counting or Heaven nor Hell are both great places to start, but they do not have a bad song.

Volbeat is such an amazing and unique band. Warriors call and Doc Holiday are my favorites but i haven't heard a song from them i haven't liked.

Yes! Great band! You gotta react to Still Counting
