THANKS so much for this reaction!!! I really appreciate it. Best RUclips reaction channel ever. So glad you really react to everyone’s requests. Lead singer Michael Paulson originally started a Danish black metal band called Dominus. He growled in virtually every song. Completely different style. Lead guitarist Rob Caggiano was originally a guitarist for anthrax. Drummer John Larsen has been with Michael since the beginning. And bassist Kasper Boye Larsen joined in 2016. The song deals with Michael moving into an old house and experiencing supernatural occurrences. It’s an original song. Btw Guns and Roses did a completely different song with the same name. He ends some of his lines with that familiar James Hetfield “yeaaaaah” because he has always been a huge Metallica fan. Thanks again for this reaction! Be well.
Wow thank you for the kind words and all the information on Volbeat. This was a dope suggestion and Hollywood has had this on repeat. Your love and support on Patreon is very much appreciated. 🙏🙏🙏
Early Volbeat was described as Elvis Metal and you can hear a bit Elvis in the vocals. Love Volbeat and no studio engineering in the vocals, they're also one of the best live bands around.
Before starting Volbeat, Michael Poulsen was the vocalist in the deathmetal band Dominus. They made 4 albums and 2 demos before disbanding and it was only after this that Michael tried "singing" so no classical training.
"I've never heard him growl". Well the lead singer Michael Poulsen used to be in a death metal band before Volbeat. You can hear some nice growling in the demo version of their song "Evelyn". Can definitely recommend it!
Best danish band EVER... and being from Denmark my self I have been to A LOT of Volbeat shows... They are AWSOME live... And he's woice live is like heaven to a girls ears 😊
Btw although Volbeat’s catalog is quite large, one of my favorites is a song called “Cheapside Sloggers”. Damn near one of their best. So now I’ll just hound you mercilessly to react to that. Thanks guys!
I was disappointed by Seal The Deal and RRR despite enjoying a handful of songs from those, overall they fell flat as albums imo. Servant Of The Mind was more of what I was looking for from the band, the riffs and energy were back (although I would’ve kept Wait a Minute… and Dagen For off it, they’re distractingly out of place)
Love Volbeat! Saw them with Slipknot back in 2019 I believe it was and although it wasn't the first song from them I heard but, the one that got me started down the Volbeat rabbit hole was "Doc Holliday". Great song from an even greater album! Great choice and, as always, great reaction fellers! 🤘🏼💙🤘🏼
The For Evigt chorus is not german : Volbeat is a danish band , and the singer singing the chorus in For evigt is Johan Olsen , he is not a member off Volbeat , but another great danish band called Magtens Korridorer, the singer off Volbeat Michael is doing the english part !
The metal elitists love to hate on Volbeat, but they are an excellent band with a ton of versatility. One of my favorite bands. And yes, Michael's voice is fantastic
Good morning from Albuquerque New Mexico, Hollywood and Smokey! Absolutely love your content been a proud Trash Talker for years now. I am a huge Volbeat fan and you ABSOLUTELY need to give the song Evelyn a listen. As usual the song is great but Michael’s vocal’s definitely do not disappoint on this track!!! Thank you both please have an amazing day, I hope you see this and I look forward to your next video!!
Nicest guy on planet but 1 hell of a boxer. He spars with major heavyweight boxers, this band has been a pleasant breath of fresh air the last 14 years for me. Excellent pick
@@shades2.183 I just know he is a boxer and has sparred with Tyson and others, only what I've read or seen . Glad to know you are a Dane, only discussing what I've read or seen
Really hope you guys listen to Die To Live from Volbeat. Has some amazing blend of metal and blues, remind you a ton of old 60s and 70s blues music that just jams out.
I got turned onto Volbeat about 11 years ago and I really like there music, And I am about to turn 60 years. Michael Paulson is really into Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash.
The action of the music video takes place in New York in 1902 and tells of the execution of a prison inmate whose spirit finally travels into the body of lead singer Michael Poulsen after the execution. He used the song to process mysterious events that he experienced when he moved into a new house. “[You bring] dead people. Strange things happen when I move... it's very otherworldly.”
I dig Volbeat! I've heard Volbeat has described as: "what 5 Finger Death Punch are to metal, what Volbeat is to Punk" and I hate that it's accurate AF 🤣🤣🤣
Best in the business. Tragically underrated for a long time now. Metal elitists don’t like them because he sounds too good and doesn’t growl. But I don’t think he cares! They aren’t about being pigeonholed, they just make really good music that fits in several genres and no genres. Funny thing is, he used to growl when he was “singer” in death metal band “ Dominus”. I’m glad he switched,,, he’s way too talented for that crap!!!
Its Johan Olsen, he is actually a lead singer in his own dansih band as well called "magtens korridorer". And no for evigt is not German its danish and means "for ever". Vildbeat is a danish band.
Volbeat are a great band and Lola Montez and black Rose are my favs. But I have a song and video you guys should do, it's different but brilliant. The song is called varud and their are many different video versions because it was used in a contest for people to make their own video clip. So check out varud by sigur ros the video by Jeff Ray.
PLZ react to System of a down Needles, doesnt have music video, and after the lyrics do the live at Lowlands 2001! U guys take so long to react to soad

Growl....Wanted to mention Dominus, but saw this
Early Volbeat was described as Elvis Metal and you can hear a bit Elvis in the vocals. Love Volbeat and no studio engineering in the vocals, they're also one of the best live bands around.
Early Volbeat was called Dominus and they played death metal.
Like Elvis and James Hetfield had a baby
@@Cvillain626 And they named him Johnny Cash.

Volbeat has the best vocalist in rock. Period.

He sounds awesome, live!! Such a good show, blew Ghost off the stage!!

Creative.. genius band. Have not been excited about a band for years. Volbeat certainly changed that🤘

The metal elitists love to hate on Volbeat, but they are an excellent band with a ton of versatility. One of my favorite bands. And yes, Michael's voice is fantastic
It was great to have a "Real" Volbeat album again.
Volbeat - Say No More - best song of 2022, regardless of genre!

That’s awesome 😎
Absolutely killer riff in this song!

The Sacred Stones by Volbeat is my personal favorite. I always jam out to that one.
He was right to ask about the cheetah. Land* animal, yes. But the peregrine falcon is the fastest animal when it dives in the air
Voice by Mikael Poulsen from Denmark...
Dont u ever forget 😅
Loved the guitar on this

They are there own style! Love these guy! Good content! They were in that era guys! Just look back! Dutch.
I’d recommend 7 Shots by Volbeat from the Beyond Hell Above Heaven album. It’s pretty epic. They also do a pretty awesome cover of Don’t Tread On Me.
One of the best!!!!
I love his voice to he has a very unique style and tone
I dig Volbeat! I've heard Volbeat has described as:
"what 5 Finger Death Punch are to metal, what Volbeat is to Punk"
and I hate that it's accurate AF 🤣🤣🤣
"Is he speaking English?" LMAO; I thought that very same thing the first time I heard the song; loved it regardless
Why has it taken so many years for this band to get noticed here in America? 🤔
Radio stations dropped the ball big time on these guys! They had 4 killer albums before I even heard one of their songs!
I've been cranking volbeatin illinoissince i first heard them on xm radio in 2005
7 Shots is Volbeat's best song
great workout song!!
I saw Volbeat when they performed with Ghost, and I gotta say - an amazing show! Sounded as good in real life as their recorded songs. 🤘😁
The singer in Voldbeat is Michael Poulsen btw
Lasses Birgitta is a MUST guys .... makes you want to drive a muscle car 140+ on a freeway with your hair on 🔥 \m/\m/
You need to check out Volbeat's video for Sad Man"s Tongue.
The devils bleeding crown is a awesome song
The new album is so good. Temple of Ekur is sick
Lead guitarist used to be in Anthrax.
If you love volbeats vocals you need to listen to Devin Townsend...."Kingdom" "failure" etc...🤘
Motionless in White - masterpiece 🙏💯🔥
Sad man's tongue is their "cover" of folsom prison blues by Johnny Cash...its f*×#ing crazy
I almost forgot...a gardens tale is insane
Michael poulsen’s voice is fire!!! Love this band
he is not a trained singer, he used to do death metal years back🏆🔥

I think the video was about the July 29th, 1902 execution of George D. Middleton, who had killed his wife in a jealous rage.
They are on my top 5 bands, easily.
I think they are more Sha Na Na(Bowser) Metal, than Elvis Metal... Check out Volbeat - Die to Live with Neil Fallon of Clutch.
DEEP PURPLE ~ SMOKE ON THE WATER 🎶🎵😉💯🎯 baddest RIFF ever 😎🎧
You need to check out volbeat Evelyn.
Try Volbeat - Becoming, that's another banger.
Love some Volbeat!
The Blues Brothers & Guns 'n Roses also made Songs with the same Title...
Fucking love this song! IT’S TOTALLY CHUNKY! Like how I like my woman!

I have heard he used to sing death metal or throat singing.
Try checking out the: gardens tale its an Old classic🤘
It's called Elvis metal In Demark where they are from FYI
they are just as badass live soundwise cheers from denmark Horns up trust me Poulsen can growl too
Guns N’ Roses did a song called Shotgun Blues
oh he can growl.. Listen to Poulsen's first band "Dominus" kicks ass!
Guns N Roses has a song of the same name but it's not a cover as I expected this is way cooler.
Check out ”Evelyn” With volbeat
If you want to hear him growl, take a listen to the track Evelyn, but it has to be the 2010 demo🤘😈🤘
PLZ react to System of a down Needles, doesnt have music video, and after the lyrics do the live at Lowlands 2001! U guys take so long to react to soad

The only other song I can think of for Shotgun Blues is Guns N Roses
Its not a cover
For evigt! Is danish and it meens forever
If you think this sounds like Metallica, listen to volbeat's remake of Metallica song; don't tread on me!! FRIGGIN AMAZING!!
Wish they'd went full on growling at the end of the song. Would've taken this to far higher highs of already good song.
Voalbeats funding rock
Columbus did _not_ discover America. LOL
