Still Counting, Lola, Warrior's Call

Hell yeah. About time someone did some Volbeat. Need to check out more songs by them. Lola Montez, Die To Live, Cheapside Sloggers. They also do a crazy rockin’ version of an old school song called I Only Want To Be With You. Which was done by Dusty Springfield. This is not rock a Billy

Heaven Nor Hell tells a story about a guy who one day sold his soul to the devil, but he actually ended up stealing it back and therefore was in debt to the devil. Since he did not believe in heaven nor hell, because he has seen the devil become an angel and otherwise, he doesn’t really need any of them because he had found peace within himself. He doesn’t need any direction to where he is going. So the song is very much about a guy who is struggling with his demons and has angels on his shoulders.

I got into Volbeat about 2 years ago and got so into them. They have to be one of the most diversified bands playing different styles of genres. So many great songs to react to. One of my favorites is Doc Holliday. I recommend you listen to the live versions of their songs.
One of my favorite bands with a wide variety of sounds. My favs are "Guitar Gangsters & Cadillac Blood", "Seal the Deal", "Shotgun Blues" and "Wait a Minute My Girl".
They have lots of good hits, quite an interesting sound to them but it's entertaining stuff

I was Introduced to Volbeat through the Song Still Counting. You should check that out! Michael Poulsen (Lead Singer) used to be in a Death Metal band Dominus but wanted a change to a more rock n roll style. Influenced by Elvis, Social Distortion, his band really has a different sound but they are Fantastic. The Song For Evigt is outstanding with Danish and English lyrics! Their covers of Hank William’s “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry”, Dusty Springfield’s “I Only Wanna Be With You” and The Georgia Satellites’ “Battleship Chains” are super great and his take on Jonny Cash’s Folsom Prison Blues but reimagined into “Sad Man’s Tongue” is Fire! Gotta do Still Counting and then go from there!!

Shotgun Blues is a much better song by them IMO.....much heavier. Also I would love to see you two react to Faster Pussycat......be sure its there stuff from the 80-90's...."Bathroom Wall" "Where theres a whip theres a Way" "Poison Ivey"......are just some of their songs......very bluesy sound to their music....I really think you will like it. Don't be thrown off by their name, they are part of what was called Sleaze Rock......great stuff

That was new. Catchy. Interesting transition to change the mood. Harder than Rockabilly on this song. Definite Punk root. Need to hear more.

Volbeat is a great band. I would suggest more from them for sure, especial "Sad Man's Tongue." Really good. And if you think a harmonica with heavy guitars is cool? Check out Bloodywood. They're a metal band from India. They play what's described as "Indian Folk Metal" but they infuse metal, rap, traditional indian instuments and wait for it... FLUTE SOLOS over metal, LOL. Check it out. Amazing band with an amazing sound.

I love volbeat, I refer to them as a modern 50's style. They're just a rock n roll band. You should listen to 16 dollars 👍👍👍👍👍👍. His vocals remind me of a couple of different artist.

Great song from one of the best bands today. Check out songs like Caroline Leaving, Devil Or The Blue Cat's Song and Danny And Lucy, to get a feel for the different styles incorporated into their rock/metal sound. Honestly there's so many great songs by them to choose from.

My take is on the " message " is that despite all religions speaking of heaven and being good.. there is plenty of hell, so obviously it no longer really means anything or does no good.
