Volbeat are a Danish rock band formed in Copenhagen in 2001. They play a fusion of rock and roll, heavy metal, and rockabilly. Their current line-up consists of vocalist and rhythm guitarist Michael Poulsen, lead guitarist Rob Caggiano, drummer Jon Larsen and bassist Kaspar Boye Larsen.
Still Counting is a song by Volbeat, a Danish rock band. The song was originally released on their 2008 album Guitar Gangsters & Cadillac Blood and later as a bonus track on some editions of Beyond Hell/Above Heaven.

Lola Montez might be a little overplayed for some people but it's a personal fav of mine. It's just so catchy!!
It was aired on TV how the crowd at Rock'n'heim 2013 sang Lola Montez a capella though it was released about a month before. It was the first time I heard and saw Volbeat and I'm a fan since then.
He IS my fav!
I love that they're Danish but perform a combination of grunge rock, American rock-a-billy, reggae, hard rock, heavy metal, and American country-rock...and his voice has that slight "Dane" accent to it. Really love a LOT of this band's music. Thanks for reacting to them, and sharing with us!

You have no idea how much I loved this Beth! Nobody really reacts to Volbeat for a lyrical breakdown, because of his unique style, and hard to understand vocals, but his voice works so well with the banging music. They are one of a few bands that sound better Live, and just fun to watch. I appreciate you doing this one! 🤘❤🔥🤘

The drummer is indeed amazing in this band in most of the songs.
I had the privilege of going to Wacken Open Air this past summer (2023) and this video brought me back there. (Every metalhead should go at least once.) I saw 5 people wearing Volbeat shirts, only Volbeat weren't playing the festival, they were on tour in N.America.

Volbeat is such an amazing rock band, i have been a huge fan for about 10 years. I have seen them live once here in Denmark in a city called Aarhus at a foootball stadium called Ceres Arena. And i can honestly say without a shadow of a doubt, Volbeat are as good live as they are on their studio recordings. I can only recommend, for you to go see them live, because they are huge in America. And i would personally love, to see more reaction videos with bands like Volbeat. :)

One of my absolute favorite songs by Volbeat - i LOVE it ❤ I have loved Volbeat since around 2006/7.
He is an excellent vocalist. He started out as a death metal singer in a band named Dominus. Over the years he got fed up with the death metal scene and the band released an album titled VOL.BEAT (Volume and Beat) that was more of a rock album. One or two albums later Dominus split and reformed as Volbeat. Poulsen has done everything from death growls to Elvis to Johnny Cash before finally coming up with his own unique style.

Michael was only 16 , when he founded Dominus 1991! Unbelievable, that he's in business since over 30 years!

Volbeat is absolutely one of the greatest bands on the planet. The music, lyrics, Michael Poulsens voice paired with the other band members created some really amazing songs. They've also done so many great collaborations with other artists.
Volbeat is just an incredible band ! Been a favorite of me and my wife's for many years now

This was my first concert ever. They opened with a7x for metallica in 2016 which was a perfect fit since a member of metálica is from Denmark too. Definitely my favorite concert of the dozen I’ve seen.

I’ve seen them twice and Volbeat have the cleanest vocals I’ve heard live. They weren’t the most spectacular band when I saw them at Download, but they easily had the most polished and clear vocals of the whole festival. Especially ‘For Evigt’
You should check out their songs Die to Live and Wait a Minute My Girl. Those songs really have a 1950s Rock and Roll vibe with a modern twist! Die to Live also features Neil Fallon from the band Clutch

Their latest album is great, especially Shotgun Blues and Say No More, but there's definitely some hidden gems in the discography as well, such as Healing Subconsciously, and Dead But Rising.
Favorite song: Devil's Bleeding Crown. (Also great live, especially the Odense 2015 recording).
But the song you should check out because Michael Poulsen's special singing style on it is A Moment Forever.

Paulson has one of the best voices in rock I've heard in decades - he's up there with the notoriety and identifiability of a James Hetfield, the attack and intensity of Glen Danzig, and even gets close (close) to the range of someone like Chris Cornell. At least the studio albums - this wasn't a great performance of this song, the studio version is just magnificent, but it was years ago to be fair.
On the same album, "Light A Way" is unbelievable in showing his range. Also, "Making Believe" is just great, I can't remember if it's a Social Distortion cover, but it feels like it sure should be lol

Volbeat is my all time favorite band and i LOVE their older songs from 2004-2010. Their newer songs are more pop-like but still good. I highly recommend a reaction to any song from the 2007 tour.
"16 dollars" and "Pool of booze" are two of the most Rockabilly songs they do.
Some people call it hillbilly metal, or rocabilly metal, and Elvis metal. who cares ;) It is awesome! Poulsen is a huge Elvis and Jhonny Cash fan. Try dead mans tongue

The first time I've heard it...vibrato makes things sound trained. I love it when it's used in it's place, but it's not the be-all-end-all of vocals. You also said "not rock-a-billy" but more regge ...I'm curious to the explanation of that...i have no knowledge of proper vocals, lol.
