Thanks for watching everyone! Well, we’ve now seen every band on our Road to a Knotfest! What is your ranking of the bands?
Volbeat, Slipknot, Behemoth, Gojira
1. Slipknot
2. Volbeat
3. Gojira
4. Behemoth
Amorphis... Just kidding 😊
-Behemoth
-Slipknot
-Volbeat
-Gojira
Seen them all, good evening coming. Every band is really good. \m/ \m/
I can see why they are popular and the song was ok, as a group they're ok...... But Wacken!!..... Night Wish, Sabaton, Alice Cooper, Sepultura, Epica and Jinjer, (to name a few) have all stood on that stage ........ Are they really in the same class? (I don't think so)
78 Metom's and i'm being generous, because I can see how it can appeal to the bubblegum generation..
Steve H Volbeat isn’t metal but they incorporate several different sounds in their music and they are whether you like it or not, a great. Volbeat May have slowed down this last album but their early albums are heavy
"that is a very civilized mosh pit" well it is in germany, we do tend to try and rock out as efficiently as possible with a minimum of fuss
Fraxxxi and to get a jogging in at the same time!
what's funny.... from my experience, the open pits with people running are WAY more dangerous than the tightly packed ones.
Fraxxxi “rock out as efficiently as possible”... that had me laughing out loud! 👏🏽
As far as I remember 2017 wasn't as rainy as the two years before, but you still got stuck in the mud over your ankles. The circle pit wasn't civilized - the boys simply weren't able to run :)
I laughed out loud :D
I went to knotfest,Volbeat by far should've been the main act. The most under rated band out there.
I've seen Volbeat 5 times and the last time was for Knotfest a few weeks ago. They sounded the best I had heard them and they turned up their heaviness.
Rachel of The Nuclear Reactions Village Nice!
Everything from Volbeat is so amazing .
Thanks for your sympathetic reaction. Believe me or not, I was there in the Wacken crowd and fell in love with Volbeat!
In Detroit... the crowd was really into Volbeat..and their set is when the crowd "filled in" more crowd participation than I heard for all other bands -slipknot. (Was in row 11 center section)
Nice!
A lot of the slipknot fans are already fans of Volbeat and vice versa. The first time I saw them they were opening up for avenged and I was about 10 rows back from the front in the pit of Carolina Rebellion festival. It was amazing! I became a huge fan that day. I had only heard a warriors call by them before that. So that was a great day :)
"Germans know how to rock!!!!"....Thx and Greetings from Germany! Timo
These dudes are Danish??
@@jerejaatinen7820 They are performing in Germany so he ment the crowd (i think)
Seen them twice in the last decade and they're an extremely good live band. And the singer is a nice guy aswell.
Love volbeat. Not many if any actually make a song. Thanking their fans. Thank you by volbeat. Is just that. They know who feeds them. An are appropriated.
I think of a lot of their music as Rockabilly metal and it's cool!
Volbeat - Room 24 feat. King Diamond. Deep, dark, heavy and freaking awesome :D
A nice little story about Wacken. It's either blazing hot there or all drenched from rain. But it's sooo huge. And the organisators have such great experience by now, they realy know how to pull the right strings. Thus the fantastic quality of the vids. But back to the "little story": a few years ago it had been raining to hard that a the fields where literally just all mud. And they organised a bunch of helicopters to fly across the fields to blow them dry. Now eat this dimension! There is a film about Wacken and about the vibe about it in that small village. Try look for it! (Greetings from 50 km's south of Wacken!)
I really enjoyed you two picking a live version! Volbeat / Michael Poulsen really sounds amazing live! His voice is incredible with the wailin/wailing (did I spell it correctly?) anyways he’s really rare! 🙏🏼♥️
I'd love to see you two react to (Jinjer -Perennial - Live at Wacken!) Jinjer never disappoints!
No one ever recommends Cloud factory, I think its jinjers second best video.
@@psychonaut1829 whats the first? Cloud Factory is my fave song from them.
They have a lot of good songs but "Pieces" is a perfect song and video.
You have to do this!!!
I love Volbeat. One of the few bands left still playing Rockabilly music. Saw them open for Metallica on their Hardwired tour a couple years ago. They're great live. You should check out some of the studio versions of their songs though too before Knotfest.
Chris B I could see them fit with Metallica. Especially their 90s stuff.
Finally someone reacting to Volbeat! seen them live twice, they put on a great show. Should listen to Mary Ann's Place, I Only Wanna Be With You, Lonesome Rider, We, A Warrior's Call, Heaven Nor Hell, My Body, Sad Man's Tongue.. all good Volbeat songs.
You’re welcome!
VolBeat can be really really heavy, I haven't been yet but I would hope Knot fans will surely like em🤘 I've seen VolBeat several times and they always sound great!
Went to the Knotfest in Denver. It got full and crowded when Volbeat began to play. They were really well received 👍
I was at the same show and they were well received and are fairly popular out here.
They have a ton of catchy tunes. Understandable that they would be a crowd pleaser!
Volbeat are just a catchy/poppy and good vibe :)
Finally Volbeat! Woo! These guys are so much fun, strong rock&roll, high octane. Think you'll be positively surprised how many metalheads dig them.
Hope you guys have an awesome time friday! 🤘😬🤘
Been a metalhead since the 80 s.Love them.
I had never seen them before, and only knew 1 song. They were awesome!!! I really enjoyed them and would see them again. The crowd was dancing, and there was some crowd surfing and moshing. The viking warrior rocked it...
Sorry, the warriors call...
Happy to hear! Should be fun!
Chuck didn't raise no fool - Juliette is a smart young woman! 😉 This was a solid 80 for me. My favourite Volbeat is "Die To Live"
I was helped by another very smart woman!
@@ChemicalReactions The 🍏didn't fall far from the tree.
I admire the father and daughter dynamic. I’m an a**hole too. Love you guys.
Me and My Daughter have "Meet and Greet" at Leeds Direct Arena in December. She is 8yr old and ABSOLUTELY ADORES VOLBEAT!! I too am DIE HARD! The Beauty with Volbeat is Their Fans are Decendants from Metallica Fans (Also Guilty) and We Protect KIDS with our Lives. The Future of Metal is within our Kids. The reason I say this is coz you said "Civilized Moshpit". I have Seen Slioknot and Rammstein and got ABSOLUTELY BATTERED! But Loved it. Keep Rockin Guys. 🤘🏻🤘🏻
You moved the desk, just when I was starting to like the painting ! Just kidding. Great reaction guys, as usual. PS : Please do some more Jinjer.
Peter Karargiris you can still sorta see it on the left!
Yes I would like to see Juliette’s metal tomatoes on Jinjer’s new single “Judgments (& Punishments)
Heh... Volbeat started out as a death metal band called Dominus. They decided that they'd rather play rock and roll, but Michael Poulsen definitely has the heavy metal cred for Knotfest. If you listen to the song "Thine" from the last Dominus album you can really hear the transition between the old and new styles.
115,000+ people and they're so calm and collected. Gotta love those Germans!
They know how to throw a party where the cops don't get called!
I've adored Volbeat since 2011 .. last couple albums have been love/slightly dislike relationship... but we're working things out because we have history. Listen to "the strength /the sound/ the songs album... and guitar gangsters and Cadillac blood album... the JAMS are on there!!
You should check out more early stuff from Volbeat. A Moment Forever is my personal favorite, so fast!
Live from: Beyond Hell Above Heaven. Volbeat. Mary Ann's place Is my favorite song ever from them.
A Warrior’s Call, Hallelujah Goat, Devil’s Bleeding Crown are all good
Volbeat is very inspired by old school Rockabilly stuff and Johnny Cash. The frontman Michael Poulsen used to front a Deathmetal band back in the days, called Dominus.
They just kinda combined the genres and poof, Volbeat! :)
Martin Atze Jensen I can 100% see the Johnny Cash inspiration.
@@ChemicalReactions I think it's "Sad Man Tounge" that's pretty much a straight up tribute to Cash. ;)
Been following these guys for years. They are really good and put on an excellent love show.. Check out Volbeat doc holiday. Also, your daughter will love the song Lola montez
More Volbeat. :) I recommend having lyrics up as you react to them, his accent may be a little hard to understand at times.
Thank You very much ! Amorphis - Death of a King. Maybe coming soon? 😁
Dear Santa i prefer winter's sleep more, but there is only lyric video
Yep Sami! Always a good choice, when it's Amorphis. Tons of material less videos. I really like Tomi's clean vocals in Winter's Sleep! Great song (Suprice) 😊.
Saturday live at tuulos, kai sitä neljännen kerran kesään voi amoja mennä katsomaan😆😆 but your right that mans voice is unreal
Erinomainen valinta! 😊. Kävin Tuskassa tsekkaamassa ja joulukuussa jäähalliin!
@@pyssy123 Amorphis - From The Heaven of my Heart - Kaunein laulu koskaan
some of my fondest early memories are of Wacken. I went in 2000 and 2001 (missing out on 1999 when my friends went for the first time but I didn't score a ticket), and both times it was just wonderful. so much craziness going on all around you. in 2000, our tent neighbors were finnish dudes that mostly ate canned pasta in tomato sauce which they thinned with vodka. a few spots over some americans had pitched their tent. one of them had caught the eye of one of the girls in our group and she was sitting over there when we wanted to do something as a group and I was tasked with retrieving her. it was pitch dark at like 2am, only the occasional campfire to see by. I didn't want to just interrupt her smooching with the guy and just awkwardly stood a couple feet away hoping they'd notice me. he suddenly turned his head, pointed his finger at me, and growled "hey... you're not steve! (leaves a beat during which I can ponder whether or not not being steve is a punishable offense) want a jägermeister?" and produced the largest bottle of jäger I had ever seen from between his feet and started pouring. nice guy, never learned his name. there was even a kind of public transport system - some dude had brough an ancient (I'm guessing about a 1980 vintage) VW Passat, and would spend hours just driving a big circle around the different tent areas very slowly, and whoever wanted a ride could just hop on - technically one could also hop in, but far more people were being conveyed on the hood, or on the roof, or clinging to the trunk. in 2001 we went to explore our tent area a little and happened upon some australian blokes who invited us to a jigger of their homemade mead, some guys from I think it was sweden who had brought a diesel generator and two small amps, a mic, and a small drum kit, all draped on a few shipping pallets, for any aspiring musicians to come give a tiny little show of their own. one guy dressed like a stereotypical viking warrior had two horns: one to blow into like a trumpet, one to hold beverages. and for the low low price of filling up his drinking horn with whatever you had on hand, he offered to wake up your buddies in their tents with his trumpet horn, backlit against the open tent flap in his viking outfit, I wish I could have seen some faces of the lucky people who got to wake up to that.
Fraxxxi sounds like an awesome time!
Wacken is broadcasted live on the german tv, therefore the sound and camera work is great
Here is a Volbeat setlist from Knotfest. Maybe review another song from this list.
The Devil's Bleeding Crown
Lola Montez
Sad Man's Tongue
Black Rose
The Everlasting
Slaytan / Dead But Rising
Warrior's Call / Only Wanna Be With You
Last Day Under The Sun
Doc Holliday

Still Counting
Oh I LOVE Lola Montez and Warrior's Call!! I love em all but those are old favorites!! 🤘🤘
Juliette, if you wan Gojira *_without_* the harsh vocals, try the song "Shooting Star," first track off the album Magma.

Can't wait for Friday, the show's gonna be epic. Maybe I'll see you there
Pete Tresch i’m going to the exact same tour Slipknot, Volbeat, Gojira, and Behemoth but the show on the tour i’m attending is happening tonight
@@charizard4249 have a great time
We will be the people with the phone filming videos! So hyped for it!
Went on Virginia Beach!! Volbeat was great!!
The pits are civilized cause it's a three day festival. It would be kinda stupid to get hurt the first night and miss all the rest of the bands. ;)
Please react to Lola Montez or heaven nor hell by volbeat before you go to the show
Saw them in Chicago
The one does not exclude the other, so it can be both 😉.
Great performance, hope this tour will be Volbeat's breakthrough in the NA.
Please do #Warbringer - Silhouettes...! Great thrash to headbang to
This song was recorded withbthe original Vklbeat line up. Rob caggiano and Kaspar boye larssen are the 2 newer members. So bass has got more ballsy and Rob has taken over on Lead and left Michael to do Rhythm.
Eluveitie - Ategnatos
I should have had my son watch this to get ready for Knotfest although it was cool to spring it on him unexpectedly.
Chem squad 🤙🏼🔥
Evan Paluch Woohoo!
Awesome as always ! I'd love to see you guys react to Volbeat - The Devils Bleeding Crown
1971tallica Should be fun live!

In this moment the promise, either of you won't be dissapointed
I actually thought you were 18+ and a freshman in college Juliette! You are way wiser than I was at your age. Great vid you two.
Okey now can you do DOWN BURY ME IN smoke and have a beatiful day
Dang , considering how young your daughter is , I'm guessing 15ish, she sure does talk about music very well and understands it a great deal
Jay Rogers 17 but yes she’s very inquisitive!
@@ChemicalReactions it's always nice to see young people have a broad range of music !
Ive tried looking up your channel but I can't find one. Do you do any reaction videos on there ?
I meant to put that I haven't found a Facebook page for your channel. I don't know why I forgot that. I'm sorry for the confusion
I went to Knotfest in St. Louis and Volbeat were great.
Ron Davis Good to know! I know most of their songs so hopefully they put on a good show!
I enjoyed them but I’ve been a fan of theirs for a while, it was a perk to see them, I went for Slipknot. You guys won’t be disappointed.

Volbeat - Die to live
Hey guys love your videos. Can you please react to Nightwish, Phantom of the opera (Tarja)
You guys need to listen to their studio versions first. Check out the studio version of Doc Holiday....
Metal God This live sounded great though.
A fun reaction would be to do the Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie intro performed by Mastadon. 😋
Keep do what you have been doing guys! Please do Slayer - Angel of Death

The vocalist had Johnny Cash on the back of his shirt. Very cool.
iammine Nice!
Check out Sad Man’s Tongue by them live. You’ll see Johnny Cash in their music.
🤘🤘❤️🤘🤘
Volbeat is pretty respected worldwide and has been out there for like a decade now!! They often are at every Big musicfest out there, and Slipknot fans are familiar with them and often they're received well!! 🤘🤘
This is probably my wife's favourite band.
And I like the description of the singer as heavy metal Elvis.
However my favourite is another band Versailles - Faith and decision ( ruclips.net/video/AdhfE6ITfoQ/видео.html ) you should check them out 😁
I'll just leave this here .. if you want to see some full shows from Wacken www.magenta-musik-360.de/wacken-2019-live

Kamelot- Elizabeth parts 1,2,3 please and thank you 😊💜🖤
Before you go to knotfest I suggest you bring earplugs for behemoth and Gojira, I’ve been to almost 20 metal shows and this was by far the loudest 🤘
Casey Coughlin a few packs in my pocket!
It might have just been super loud for Massachusetts since the knotfest show was in a pavilion but still never hurts to bring some

hey CR i enjoy your reacts. But jacks thats no civilized MOSHPIT it's a circlepit when the croud is running in circles. ;P greetings from germany c u on Wacken rain or shine
volbeat is like metallica + elvis ... lol
LOL.I have only heard two Volbeat songs. This is one. Oddly. when the lead guitarist is facing the camera and you can't see his ponytail, it looks like The Edge from U2 joined the band. An unusual mix of styles in this song. Like a much heavier 311.
I think it is a personal relationship song where he's being called an asshole, he isn't denying it, but isn't the only one in the room. Plenty of blame to go around.
Be glad Julifidget is incurably awful, as you fidget with your hair and jewelry constantly. Senior year was my favorite year as you know your college before you get your grades, so the pressure is off. Plus, since driving age in NJ is 17, I finally (usually) had a car.
