You really want to stay above 5.0 cfm at 90psi. You could go with what he has which is the Rigid OF45200SS, the FORTRESS 57391, or go with something a little bit pricey, California Air Tools 4620AC. I have the California Air Tools. It’s lighter. Smaller. Less refill time. And the quieter of most air compressors.
Great video I just subbed as well! My question is what is the benefit or difference between these tools and a pistol type blower? I see the cone maybe helps with not damaging wheels or interior pieces when it hits almost like a bumper around it but what else would you say is the benefit to this as opposed to the pistol type blower most compressors come with? thanks man
It creates a vortex of air so it has a better chance of dislodging debris and water also it cost far less than buying a car dryer. Thank you for subbing welcome to the family
Both tools have their place. The single pin point is great for precision accuracy. Great for the creases inside the seats. Edge work etc. the vortex is amazing for dog hair. For the carpet and for the headliner ever. You need both
The reason these guns are vastly superior to a simple air gun is this: 1.)These devices are switching airflow-direction hundreds of times per second. 2.) A standard airgun only changes direction if you move it. Instead of carpet, picture a helicopter landing on a field of tall grass. The grass lays down flat, (most likely in a conical pattern moving outward from the helicopter)... and stays there. Same with the tip of your blow-gun. The carpet-fibers all lie-down and stay down. Now picture multiple choppers landing on the field, and how many different directions the grass would be blowing...not laying down. fibers don't have time to lay down before the dirt is blown away. Sorry if that doesn't help, lol! but it is the closest i can get to an explanation of why they work so well!
I don't really see the difference between this and an air chuck. I have several regular air chucks and some high volume air chucks. You can buy all sorts of air chucks and/or air chuck attachments that don't cost anywhere near these prices. Then if i want to use the canister style to spray liquid I just use my hand 1qt hand pump sprayer. Exact same results for hundreds less. I ain't knocking it, we all love new tools. I just don't see spending on over inflated tool prices. Great videos by the way.
If you’ve never tried one I recommend the rag company air blow gun. It’s under $50. I promise if you haven’t tried these vortex style tools you’ll be in for a treat.
@@StaySlick I have the vortex air gun and the vortex air gun with the canister in my amazon cart. I came to youtube to see what all the hype is. So I'm on the fence right now. What is the difference between these tools and a regular tool from Home Depot, I’ve been using the regular ones for years and they really do the job just trying to see if there is a difference
The difference is that you don’t blow air straight to whatever you blowing. the tornador or vortex blow air to the sides where the regular air blower shoots straight air making it harder on plastic parts of the vehicle interior Yes, you can use the regular air blower gun for carpet instead of vacuum and get rid of pet hair and debris but I wouldn’t use it on sensitive car parts as Gary is showing on the video

Nice post man, just found you. I detail and I literally use both of the same guns. (sometimes at the same time) It’s very true, they’re both great. I’ve worn through many sleeves over the years and the metal ones are worthy their weight in gold they last 100 times longer. Just a note if no one mentioned it here - you CAN rebuild a vortex with a tornador rebuild kit, you may just need to trim the hose slightly if you’re still using vortex brand cone (it’s slightly shorter) Keep it coming!
My Manager mentioned that the Tornadors do not come with the steel-lined cone, but it can be bought as a replacement. From the video, it also appears that the new Tornador that is broken @ 7:19 , ...also does not have the metal sleeve. Odd.
Absolutely! You can use the straw from a Tornador rebuild kit in a Vortex, I do it myself. You just need to trim a little off the end of the straw as the Vortex brand cones are slightly shorter. You may have to slide the blue weights down slightly as well. Hope this helps! Also, you are correct - they don't come with the metal sleeved cones, but they realllllly should as they last 10x longer. @@ruserious9577

I don’t think you’re following. The tornador cone breaks within a day of normal use. Whereas the vortex under extreme use might break in a months time. I’ll take the vortex. Not to mention it’s more compact so it’s also more practical in tight spaces.
@@StaySlick i don't think you're following me lol. you said yourself "been through about 4 or 5 in 6 months" and the same part keeps breaking. so its a piece of crap then if you have to replace it monthly? just don't drop the tornador and put some duct tape on the cone and the problems solved? there are plenty of people who use these regularly, claiming they break in "one day of use" is BS and you know that.
