I Don't know how long most of you guys been using these tools, but the one with the metal parts inside are the BEST the plastic one works but you're going to have to change the cone and the plastic parts that spins. Then it costs more on the long run, so just get the one with the metal parts, I've been using these things for over 11 years
I love what TRC did with their air tools making it very affordable. However, I still use the Tornador. Had mine for 3 years and it’s still rolling after replacing a couple parts.
Thanks man, you have been very informative with all the equipment you reviewed. Before I buy most of my tools, I come to your channel and see what works for me, and you always deliver. I bought a 2,400W oupes electric generator and paired it with a 1900psi ryobi pressure washer, and it works amazingly well. And thanks to you it saved me a lot of money. Keep up the good work man.
Nice video, The Rag Company version seems to be the way to go expect for that mini Tornador version. I wish I had an air compressor to use these with. Also are you gonna do a review on the Detail Co polishers? I'd love to know what you think about them.
Thanks for this video Josh. There have been lots of concerns with the Ultra Air and how they have failed within the year hence they are coming out with V2 within a year or so. Mine lasted only 10 details. I need a new one and not sure if I am willing to give the Rag Company another shot. The features of the V2 are very compelling and the price may be too hard to resist
Thank you Josh for another informative video. Please do a comparison video between a Sokany garmet steamer 1800w or any other brand vs a steam cleaner of similar power (McCulloch steamer). As a prospective detailer I would like to know if I should start with a garment steamer then later upgrade to a steam cleaner or I should just save money and buy steam cleaner. Thank you for this! I've been looking for a nice intro video on these. I was not aware of the Rag Company options. I will be picking one up. What kind of CFM do I need for one of these? My old 2 gallon compressor gave out years ago and I have switched to battery nailers/staplers so I never looked into a new compressor. I've heard good things about the Ridgid 4.5 gal but want to make sure I get one that will work well with these style blowers. Thanks!
Good stuff. I have the basic tornador and its incredible but I'm going ultra air for everything else. The price points are just hard to pass up. I can get 3 or 4 tools for the price of one tornador tool
What are these things? Are they Rube Goldbergs? I have an air compressor and use air sparingly once in a while for dash crevices but don't generally like to blow up dirt inside my car because you're not getting rid of it. Just moving it around. I also don't dust the inside of my house with the air hose for the same reason. My air nozzle collection seems to be fine for that use. So, what are these for?
Each tool is a bit different depending on the style. From a test I did before it seemed like the straw style was a little less air consumptive than the metal bearing style, but it was close
I do have the Tornador Z-014S its a great tool the only down side is you need buy every couple off months TORNADOR WEIGHTED TUBE (3) and a new cone and even the metal one is not fully metal so you have spenden every couple off months 55euro's while a new Tornador Z-014S/RS cost 80€-90€ it's just outrageous they should let us buying a whole pack WEIGHTED TUBE (3) for 25€ with at least 5-10 in a pack instead paying just one for 25€.
You are looking for a unicorn lol. I have a 10 gallon California Air tools compressors for mobile and still run out of air all the time but it can run continuously at 60 psi so I technically don't have any downtime. What's sufficient is going to depend on your situation and how often you use it. A pancake compressor is sufficient if you're doing quick blowouts on your personal vehicle but not in a high volume environment.
Great video, we cant wait for you to try V2!
what size air compressor hose do you recommend for the V2?

Definitely been waiting for a new break down on some air guns 🤝🏽!!
Good timing!!

Which model do you use
@huseyinalskan5539 years back the tornado but with the metal part inside
Now I'm using the Rag company one....
@@cebasmb8250 But aren't all the cones plastic?
I've only had to swap my rubber tube once in 2 years $5 replacement (vortex)

Sweet! Most underrated detailing tool!
Another excellent video! Awesome information for those considering adding this type of tool to their quiver.

Great to hear thanks so much!
I appreciate all these the details from detailer, thank you for all your efforts, Josh.
My pleasure!
These things fall into where the hell were these all my life category. They speed everything up so much.
Always delivers a great video !!
I appreciate that!
This was a video I needed to see. Thanks for all your dedication to being unbiased.
Thanks for watching! Yeah they are both great options but each have their pros and cons
Tornadors are great tools! I need to invest in the blast and vac system one of these days.
Thanks for the review. For what I need, El Cheapo will do!
Another great informative video!! Thanks Josh!!
Josh I love your videos thank you so much. Your videos are so informative. I can’t wait for your pressure washer
I have both the Turnador Black and Ultra Air and prefer the Ultra Air. V1 has been perfect; I upgraded to V2 to be able to swap the bearing and tube.
Another great video. Keeping us informed. Thank you!
You bet!
These are definitely great to have!
Great job 👍👍
I need to research these more i guess. It seems like they would just blow dust and dirt everywhere... or do you vacuum as you go?
As a full time detailer tornador is king 👑
Time saver!
I have a velocity vac it’s an awesome tool I have the dry vac one

Not critical but the title bar for the Ultra Air starting at 12:37 has "The Rag Company Ultra Air Tols", assuming you want "Tools"?
Where can you buy the mini?
Thank you Josh for another informative video.

Should have tried the capri tools one. Comes with 2yr warranty

Yea it’s a huge selling point and they are still great quality
I bought the Ultra Air V1, and the bearings were completely seized with rust. Brand new from the factory.
I’ve had mine for 11 months. The key is to line the bearings with air tool lube
Is there a reccomended air rate thats for the tornador? I believe TRC recommends 20 gallon air compressor?
What are these things? Are they Rube Goldbergs?

Anyone know if a 5 gallon compressor will work for these tool..? I'm certain it would be running constantly to keep up
We use a 5gallon. It works just fine
Which brand is more air efficient?

Someone have mercy on me and tell me a couple of low priced air compressors that are sufficient to use with the tornador? Thanks in advance.

The 4.5 gallon rigid would be my go to. It won’t run it for an extended period, but it has enough to get the job done
those velocity vacs are loud as fuck they echo thru the whole shop, but they do a great job at getting sand and pet hair out of the trunk area.
SPTA is solid, way better than Ultra, Rag company is very cheap quality. Quality first go with Tornador
Rag Company...... (TRASH)
First °°°°!!!
