A bigger air compressor can definitely help but I’m glad to see that you’re using what you have, not everyone can afford to upgrade their equipment, great video Chelsea 👍😁
Thanks! Yes for sure I can see how a bigger compressor would make a big difference but for those on a limited budget this can still get the job done. Where there's a will there's a way, am I right? Maybe in my future we'll consider a bigger compressor or if my husband's dies we'll upgrade but for now it works for me.
I spent 43$ on vortex II and tried it on my car with the Rigid 6 gallon compressor. It was ok but consumed air very quickly. When I bought the rigid compressor I also bought the 22$ Husky Brass attachment kit. Let me tell you, the little nozzle that came in that kit was better than that vortex. It had more power for longer. I am returning the VortexII. It is ok but would probably work better with a larger compressor than a 6 gallon.
Awesome. I've been waiting for someone who would keep things relatively simple and take the time to mention the 1/2 inch compressor air hook up critical piece. It seems simple to the pros but they tend to forget.
Great videos Chelsea, check to see if Harbour Freight is in your area, can find a decent size compressor for good price. Also I would try a 3/8 air hose instead of 1/2. You will loose all your air volume quicker with 1/2, and you don’t have enough volume with those air tanks. 3/8 will give you the pressure you need without loosing as much volume, keeping the compressor cycle time lower. Kinda like using a straw compared to garden hose. Keep up the hard work👍🏻
I had a 3/8 in hose initially and it wasn't powerful enough with the size compressor that I had to get the gun to work properly but once I increased to a half inch compressor hose I got more power. Yes it goes quickly but I've been able to manage the short bursts and still get great results. But yes a harbor freight air compressor is in my near future. The problem is I need a dedicated outlet almost panel to power it so that I won't blow the breaker in the garage as everything in our garage is on the same breaker. Husband is aware and is working on it. But our panel for the house is maxed out and we need to upsize it in our waiting for the electrician
I was checking out the new Tornador tool that hooks up to your vacuum as mats and carpets get destroyed from our 6 months of winter here, but when I saw they recommended what is generally a $400-$500 compressor for it to function properly, I lost interest pretty quick.
Also I appreciate all the advice you give in your videos with the Superior Products that I love by the way and I purchased a yellow leather brush that is very impressive and I bought the complete line of the Turtle Wax Hybrid products and I am very impressed with how my dark green VW Tiguan turned out. I can't thank you enough, I truly appreciate you taking the time and sharing your experiences with your viewers. I am located in Westmoreland County Pa just north of Pittsburgh. Thanks Again !!
Great video Chelsea! One thing to keep in mind when you finally upgrade your compressor... I don't know about you but my garage only has a single 15 amp circuit and it's the same with a lot of my mobile clients. Go too big with the new compressor and you might want to either hook it up to 240 or run a dedicated circuit for it. I found a little 2.5 hp Makita that pulls 13ish amps and leaves just enough to run the Rigid shop vac without popping the breaker 😁
David ruggles sorry seen you comment talkong about the makita 2.5 hp and i jist wanna know if is the makita mac 700 am mobile and i have a subaru forester and i need a compressor enought to fit in my forester just need to blow carpet, door panels, ect that it i think
@@luisrosado1448 try the little one first and see if it works for you. If you get one at Home Depot they usually honor a 30-day return policy. You do have to eat your Wheaties to lug the 2400 very far. 🤣
Great stuff Chelsea. I'm new to your channel. Subscribed today in fact. I've viewed a few of your videos so far and you have some great content. Looking forward to your future videos. I've been a weekend/driveway enthusiast detailer for about 30 years. What brought me here was I was actually looking at getting a small "pancake" type of air compressor and wanted to see how it might work with this type of air gun which is the primary reason I wanted to get the small compressor. Now I know it will perform to the level I will need it for, just blowing air inside the cabin of the car to blow things dry or out of the carpets, exactly what you show here! Thanks for posting this and for taking your valuable time to review detailing products. I also really enjoyed your video about different low cost polishers which shows you don't need a $500 polisher to get a decent job done on a personally owned vehicle. Great info. Also enjoyed your review of the new Lonestar Tire cleaner and tire coating. I was just looking this past weekend for an inexpensive tire coating and good cleaner and that video helped me to make my decision. Keep up the great work. Really like your detailing content.
So C😎😎L. Thank you for this video. I have a DeWalt D55140 (for car tires and misc stuff around the house) and I guess I can't keep the trigger depressed for long periods because the Tornador starts to loose it's kick. Guess I'll start using short bursts until I decide to upgrade. Thanks again. 👋🤓
Chelsea , I actually just purchased a device close to that but it has a small water container and it is called the Tornado and I ordered it from Walmart online and it was around $24 and it sprays a mist of water also just dry air and does a decent job. It is a knockoff of the Tornader that is much cheaper but probably not the quality that the Tornader would do but for $24 plus free shipping I didn't think it was a bad deal.
I know I'm late to the channel but, that being said.... the tornador gun is a game changer for sure. One thing I might add, if you don't already know... they have metal core cones available. I initially didn't know that, but will be ordering a few as replacements. The gouging or rutting that those blue hard plastic weights(?) Cause annoys the hell out of me. Imo, the metal lined cones need to be an option in original sales. They're not but, oh well. I love mine.
What are the little orange beads that are inside of the vortex gun do you need them ? Reason I ask is because have one too and the beads that are inside the gun keep coming off just curious If you need them
Yes but I prefer to use the air gun vs putting too much solution into carpets, etc as I'm mainly using this for blowing crevices out and blowing moisture off of panels.
@@attention2detailswchelsea I done this at the last place I worked at. I did not like holding that Tornador with the chemicals under the gun. Too much weight and too much uncontrollable moisture

lovely. no i have yet another use of my giant 2000 l/m compressor. thanks😉
Why wouldn't you blow the crevices first then hoover? Just going to leave bits of dust in places 🤔
Thank you very much for your video, l just order a air compressor and will by buying the Vortex and ninja scrubbers. I also subbed to your channel.
Nice video chelsea
Wouldn't happen to have a link for the swivel connection would you?
What did your neighbors use to connect the gun with the air hose?
Do you find it to be more effective than a normal air gun thanks again for another great video

Hey on the 1/2 air hose you got did you have to get 1/2 inch connector’s to put on the hose or did 1/4 connectors work on the hose
Do you need the 1/2 compressor line ? Or will the original hose on air compressor work 3/8"?

do the air compressor raise up your electric bill when it goes on and off or not really
Not really. If I had a bigger one and used it more than yes it could.

The neighboor clappin for sure
You should just invest in a the new Rigid 200 psi air compressor. That thing will pay itself off in no time as you won’t need to stop.
There’s some good compressors for $150 without having to carry a lot of stuff
Don't blow up tires inflate them lol.
