I stopped by their booth as well at SEMA. I asked the Rep doing the demo what the CFM rating was on the compressor in their booth and he told me 6 CFM @ 90 psi. I have the same air compressor you mentioned, so I'd have to buy a larger one just to use it. I use a small Ryobi leaf blower. It's compact and moves a lot of air, and I don't need an air compressor. Just makes things easier for me.

Thanks for sharing your insight! It’s interesting how different setups work for different needs. Some of the booth reps might not have had all the technical details down, but I’ve found that the Tornador works extremely well with the Fortress set at 90 PSI and 4.0 CFM. For me, having a small, compact tool is crucial, especially for reaching tight spots, like between seats. I imagine a leaf blower might be a bit tricky for those kinds of applications, but at the end of the day, it really comes down to personal preference and what works best for your workflow. Your setup sounds like a great solution for your needs!

@PristineAutoLab it's a small blower called the Workshop blower. Another reason I don't use an air compressor is space. My mobile set up is in a Ford Escape. It would take up too much room.
I'd still like to try a Tornador Mini if you say it works with the compressor I have.

Did you find yourself having to hold the hose with that since the hose won't be pointing down like it would be with the gun version?

I have a lot of experience with the vortex and own both. You need to clean the vortex. I’d bet money the straw is loaded up. With that said the mini will always work better cause the shorter tube will spin quicker.

Thanks so much for sharing your expertise! I really appreciate the tip about cleaning the vortex-I’ll definitely check the straw and see if that’s the issue. I still love the Vortex, but I have to say, what really excites me about the Tornador Mini is not just the power but also how compact and convenient it is to use. Thanks again for watching and taking the time to comment!

@ yeah I totally agree with you. I use the mini exclusively now for interiors and just use the vortex to clean out pads.

Operating specs on the Z-007 are: 188lpm (6.6cfm) @ 80psi (if you run it @ 90psi you wear out the tube and funnel quicker!)
Operating specs on your compressor are: 114lpm (4.0cfm) @ 90psi
No, your compressor can not keep up with the tool! If you dial back your compressor to 80psi (good for the tool), you get a little more time to run the tool @ full potential/spec.
The higher output & cleaner results you are getting from the Z-007 is due to the fact that you are running the tool @ max. psi! Drawbacks of running that tool @ max. psi are: A cracked funnel or broken tube in a short period of time...........................................................If you like the tool, dial the psi down to 80 - thank me later😉
