  • say goodbye to challenging interior detailing. I'm on a quest to find the ultimate Interior Detailing Tools that can make your life easier by speeding up the process and doing all the hard work for you. Could this Exciting Detailing Tool be the answer you've been looking for?
⭐ Featured Tornador - tornadordirect.com/collection... (use Code EPIC10 for 10% OFF AT TORNADOR DIRECT)
    About the Tornador Classic:
The Tornador® Classic Z-010RS is a very clever spray gun that uses air power to turn cleaning fluids into a fine mist. It creates a strong swirling motion when spraying, thanks to a spinning air hose inside. This makes it really effective for cleaning.
By setting the air mixture in motion, the Tornador creates a rotating cutter, similar to a tornado. This unique action, known as the "tornado effect," applies strong force to eliminate dirt particles from surfaces. It proves especially beneficial for efficiently performing quick detailing tasks during customer service, contributing to excellent customer satisfaction and retention. So this could be the best tool ever made for Interior Detailing.

It’s always a great idea to clear any hair or crumbs etc before you add liquid. You’ll find that wet hair and wet crumbs will make your job harder because:
    1. The hair will instantly start to stick to fabric and plastic once it’s moist
    2. Crumbs or food particles will absorb liquid and begin to separate into mush
    3. You’ll actually push the dry debris further into the fabric if it’s saturated making it difficult to remove
Vacuum or blow out the debris first and foremost while it’s still dry. 👍

Please wear safety glasses when using a tornador, or even just a regular air gun, when cleaning carpets. Especially when doing the interior. I also use a dust mask when doing more catastrophic cars and going more aggressive with just blasting all the carpet first and then vacuuming the fallout. With the latter I also recommend a hat, so your hair isn't full of dirt afterwards.
Regarding headliners, I always do a dry run first - quite often it'll be enough. And when wet cleaning, I try to "spread the stain" of the cleaning agent itself once I get to drying it, as it can leave a harsh outline or a visible difference in color in the cleaned area, especially in a car infested with cigarette smoke and tar.
And returning to the "dry run first" - much easier to shoot most of the loose dirt out of carpets, and then do a wet pass. And for many cars you don't really even have to do extensive wet passes. With wet cleaning you also have to consider that it has to dry. The water shooting out of a Tornador (or equivalent) may not look much, because it's being expelled as a fairly fine mist, but it still gets trapped in carpets and seats more than you think, which can pose a smelly/moldy problem in a couple days - especially if you cover the carpet with a rubber mat.
As for panels and leather seats, I like to lightly brush over key contact areas and common dirty areas like speaker covers, window control buttons, arm rests and door sills , too - doing just the wet-dry tornador passes can still leave a layer of grime in the contours of the plastic that isn't apparent until the surface completely dries and the sun hits it. Think of it as doing the exterior of the car with just foam and a rinse with no contact cleaning.
I also believe you could have put more focus on how much easier a Tornador (or equivalent) makes getting tight to reach and pain in the ass areas clean - air vents, pedals, hooks and handles and crevices in the cargo area, the 5th dimension between the seats and the center tunnel etc. Everyone knows a tornador can clean carpets, but the versatility of the tool is where I see like 50% of the charm of it.
The vac attachment is kinda mediocre btw, just angle the end a bit and use a regular vac to catch the debris - most of it flies outward anyway, and if you're doing a disaster detail then I don't even bother with the vac while tornadoring, as described earlier.
Source: I own a detailing shop and have also worked at dealerships. Sorry for the wall of text. Good video, though.

  • @MYNYDD-MOTO

the really important thing to look at when it comes to compressors is the cfm and the hp of the motor, any air tool thats using high volumes of compressed air, will demand air from the compressor very quickly, so the higher the litre compressor and higher hp motor will generate more cfm therefore be able to keep up with the air demand , so something like a 100 litre compressor with a 3hp motor is a very good option for most, 3hp i believe is the highest hp motor you can have on a single phase power supply (standard plug) anything over that, you start going down the route of 16amp and 3 phase power supplies etc, great vid, very impressed with this tool, certainly a future investment

Saw these years ago but didn't see the need for them.... that was until I used one today. My car is pretty immaculate as its only ever got me in it, I don't eat or smoke in the car, and it's regularly cleaned. However it is absolutely worth it for getting those bits out of the carpet, dusting sensitive dash parts and gaps you can't easily reach. This combined with some towels, a few sprays of apc for around the pedals and the gyeon interior detailer is like having the keys to a brand new interior.

If you wanted one that would ticks all the boxes for practicality then AVA P57 is the best allrounder . The only thing i can say on that machine is it hasnt been around long enough to tell how it would perform after several years

I wash my carpets at the car wash with the water gun, then use the vacuum to get the water out

@epicautomotivedetailing It looks good to do after a good vacuum. I kinda want one now. I've seen people vibrate the carpet while vacuuming to get the dirt down deep.

I think you would have an aneurysm if you had my Renault Megane Dave. When it comes to cheap plastics and carpets, I've never seen worse than the French in the middle 2000s. Both that Megan and my mothers Picaso are horrifically bad and cheap with their plastics but worse so, their carpets.

@@epicautomotivedetailingGenuinely I've given up at this point. Used my trusty old Henry on it. Then used my dyson with its rolling brush head to get in the fibres... still looks like shit. That fabrics sole purpose from conception in design to manufacturing is to draw in and cling on to sand, grit and dirt like its life depends on it.
I'm fully convinced of this. It's so bad, you'd think they've purposely designed it that way as if you'll drive to their dealers for a frigging valet.

I don't know how to clean the headliner without tearing it, or ungluing it. I am certain an air compressor is not the way to go. I'd bring it in the house - clean off my nasty furniture - get behind the oven. . .

You shouldn‘t use a cleaner in the tornador if you don‘t want to destroy your health. Also earprotection and a respirator are mandatory.

Also with fabric seats or fabric in general, you should just mist it with a cleaning solution then brush the fabric lifting it up to vacuum afterwards. Soaking fabric results in debris seeping into the foam padding and once that happens your chances of extracting it becomes minuscule. You can Tornador on leather if you’re quick, but do not let it soak. 👍
