      Thanks and I appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment. These are great tools and they can defintely make life easier, especially in volume situations where you are working on vehicles all the time. I also use the method in this short with my blo mini blower and different brushes quite often for my maintenance clients. Instant and unlimited air, no compressor setup or waiting for the tank to fill. Every situation is different and sometimes you need to think outside the box and get creative. ruclips.net/user/shortsFt5JC-oCovo?si=vPE0U6zsZ6M49N1w

    I was about to buy one from the Rag Co. until I read the reviews. It seems the rotation / bearing stop spinning after a few uses. Maybe the failure mode is operator error not rinsing after each use.

    • @platinum.mobile.detail
      @platinum.mobile.detail  5 месяцев назад +2

      Thanks for bringing this to my attention. My blaster plus still works but my regular blaster without the tank has recently stopped spinning as well. I found quite a few reviews on Amazon from people with the same problem so it seems like it'a more of a design issue than a maintenance one. I'm going to reach out to the rag company team and make follow up video.

    That water under the mat is the AC drain. Likely still has the metal cap on, causes water to drip down the firewall and soak back through to the inside. Pull the metal cap off, thoroughly dry it and seal around the AC drain in the firewall :)

    • @platinum.mobile.detail
      @platinum.mobile.detail  22 часа назад

      Thanks for the info. This was filmed during winter so I don't think they would be using the AC at that time. It's very common for trucks to have a leak from the antenna or marker lights on the roof, or the third brake light (happened to me on two different trucks lol) and it settles on the floor.

    Love the video but wanted to point out the audio issue to hopefully help going forward. If you right click on the actual video and click "Stats For Nerds" you'll see that this video volume is lowered significantly by RUclips. Again, love the video and just wanted to provide what may hopefully be some constructive feedback

    Hey man! Great video, you made me want to buy one lol. I unscrewed the trumpet head and there’s 2 bending points on the metal black nozzle that sprays the air+liquid. Are the nozzles supposed to have 2 bending points?

    • @platinum.mobile.detail
      @platinum.mobile.detail  7 месяцев назад

      Thanks for the feedback... Appreciate it!
      Yes the tube the air comes out is bent so that when it spins, it gives you that cyclone like cleaning affect over a wider area, instead of being concentrated in one spot.

    Would you buy the air blaster and the air blaster plus? Or can you do basically the same thing with just the plus?

    • @platinum.mobile.detail
      @platinum.mobile.detail  7 месяцев назад +3

      It really boils down to how frequently you plan on using them. If it's once in a while for your own vehicle, you could totally make due with the air blaster plus. If you are using them daily in a business setting, then you would probably want both because the tank makes the blaster plus more cumbersome for daily use as a blow out tool.

    Should those horn threads have like a high temp silicone lube or plumbers sealant to reduce wear damage over time?

    • @platinum.mobile.detail
      @platinum.mobile.detail  4 месяца назад +1

      I can't see them wearing down quickly unless your changing them repeatedly in a day. At that point your almost better to buy two to save the hassle of switching. I think a quick shot of a silicone spray would definitely help make it smoother as the threads are a bit grabby from how hard the plastic is.

    Maybe it is just me, but it looks like you were just blowing the dust and debris in the air. Then it looked like it just settled somewhere else. Is there suppose to be a vacuum running at the same time? Or is that what it supposed to do?

    • @larrysing
      @larrysing 5 месяцев назад +2

      That’s what those tools do.

    • @platinum.mobile.detail
      @platinum.mobile.detail  4 месяца назад +1

      There's a method to it. I try to blow the dust and everything down to the ground, then out the door but you have to use your judgment based on the condition. I pretty much clean my maintenance clients cars I see regularly with this then follow up with a very quick vac if needed. For dirtier vehicles, you absolutely should do a quick pre vac for the bulk and even then, it'll surprise you just how much more it'll blow out of the carpets after.

    • @platinum.mobile.detail
      @platinum.mobile.detail  4 месяца назад +1

      It's hard to believe just how much time and effort they save you in vacuuming until you've tried it for yourself.

    Do u have to have a 20 gallon compressor or can u do it with a 4 gallon

    • @xxslayer255xx
      @xxslayer255xx 3 месяца назад +2

      I have the ultra air blaster plus (the tornador with a solution bottle thing) and a 2gal 125psi compressor. I dialed my compressor back to 100psi and was able to do detail a porsche boxster with it; however, the air tool drains my compressor very quickly. 10 seconds of continuous use and the compressor is nearly empty. 4 gal would give you more working time, but would still drain quick and may be frustrating if you're cleaning much more than a tiny porsche boxster.
      Edit: from rag companies website they say it uses 120L/min to 200L/min which is ~32gal/min to ~53gal/min

    • @platinum.mobile.detail
      @platinum.mobile.detail  3 месяца назад +1

      My honest opinion is if your using a 4 gallon, it's okay for short bursts, but it lacks the volume you ideally want and your better off buying a small blower like this ruclips.net/user/shortsFt5JC-oCovo?feature=share
      I used to use a 20 gallon husky but it was crap, more volume but the motor couldn't keep up and it was so loud listening to it constantly. I upgraded to a 10 gallon California air tools and it's been great. This is a short I made about it with more details. ruclips.net/user/shortsrtbiC2zH3zU?si=LdPbMAZXpdYERQVw

      @@xxslayer255xx I run mine at 90 psi but you could even try dialling it back to 60 psi to get decent air flow and longer run time out of it.

    These are awesome toold thendressing applicator tool for me seems usless it can be messy and i find incould be quick with an applicator

    • @platinum.mobile.detail
      @platinum.mobile.detail  6 месяцев назад

      I agree, an applicator can be more efficient on many types of tires. Where I find the sprayer more useful is bigger truck tires with a sidewall tread that chews up foam applicators for lunch, and other hard to reach areas like wheel wells, engine bays, door jambs etc.

  • @chrisryan8894
    @chrisryan8894 4 месяца назад +1

    Seems to me that would add more time and mess to the job. Good video. Just not a product for me

    • @platinum.mobile.detail
      @platinum.mobile.detail  4 месяца назад +2

      Thanks Chris! I use air every time I detail a vehicle because of the time savings, but it's hard to quantify it in a video. Will blowing a bunch of debris around make more of a mess, yes, but if there is a lot of debris to begin with you should pre vacuum the bulk of it first. Air will make that last 20% of vacuuming that takes the longest clean up much easier on dirtier cars, and it will do the bulk of the work quickly on well maintained vehicles.

    The trumpets and other plastic parts look 3D printed. Idk how you could call that high quality.
    Not to hate on 3D printing, I myself print stuff. But it’s not appropriate for consumer goods sold commercially like this.
