Very pretty lady. I have a son who is profoundly deaf but we got him a cochlear implant when he was two years old.
He will be 20 years old in July.
I bet they would get along great!
Such a lovely girl. She hasn't allowed adversity to define her. Respect 😎
Hi @tryscience Thanks for the kind words! We're proud of Baby Mae's strength and resilience.
The compassion of Paul and Baby Mae is impressive. She's a cute little lady.
I had the same experience as Nicole had when I was 2 years old. I had German Measles that ruptured both of my eardrums, and grew up not able to hear anything. I was able to have surgeries when I was 21 years old repairing my eardrums with skin grafts and replacing the bones in my inner ears. I recovered about 85-90 o/of my hearing and went on to have a wonderful career as a firefighter and paramedic. If the nerves in Nicole's ears are in good condition, maybe in the future could have the same surgery.
Paul you and Baby May both have hearts of gold....God Bless both of you !!!
Hi @SpiritRobert-gq3pl Thank you for your kind words!
That was nice Paul. You and Mae are such good people giving back.
Hi @hughjanis6439 Thank you, means a lot to us!
I am almost deaf, I have two hearing aids which gives me about 10% hearing... but... my condition is not only volume but also clarity. Even when i do hear the sound the words are garbled. But I do well, I have found filipinos are kind and compassionate. Great video!!! WHAT???
I said get a new battery for your hearing aid... I love your sense of humor man...😉🙏🏻
what?? hahaha. You are awesome :)
Ha????what did you say?
@@zayneunderwood1488 I'm sorry i didn'get that, what did you say
@@tryscience I'm sorry i didn'get that, what did you say?
This video is a lot to unpack. Nicole is the eldest and works to help her mom and family of 5 boys. Wow, that has to be a challenge. She is lucky to have been able to complete high school and keep her life moving forward. Good luck to Nicole.
I'm glad she got to spend some time with Baby Mae. Probably made her day.
Hi @oldguy2764 Aw, thanks for the kind thought! We're happy to have her around.
Thank you Paul and Mae for the friendship and kindness and caring you have shown to this woman.
Hi @deedeew4040 Thank you for your kind words!
Baby Mae has such a Sweet kind heart as Nicole is Very Pretty lady who will do well as she is what a Wonderful Filipina with Good parents that care about and want to protect her. She can read some lips as she understood allot as you could tell by her reactions of body language. Ideally some rechargeable batteries can be found as even some regular lithium ones can be charged a couple of times. Thank you both for helping her
Hi @paulk8444 Thank you, we appreciate your kind words about Baby Mae and Nicole!
Thank you, Paul and baby Mae, for helping out Nicole. What you are doing is so admirable ❤
Hi @susangovanranzow1206 Thanks for your kind words! We're happy to help.
What a beautiful young lady. It's sad that circumstances have robbed her of one of her valuable senses. She seems happy. She just wants a normal life.
Hi @jwhite2847 We're glad to see her smiling and hopeful for a normal life.
Another interesting video about life in the Phils from our favourite old dog.
What a sweet gesture by baby mae. I'm glad to hear Nicole got to achieve one of her goals and do a photoshoot.
I hope she gets a hearing checkup and a new battery for her hearing aid.
Thanks for sharing her story.😊
Hi @Steve-nu4sv Aw, thanks! We're proud of Nicole's accomplishments.
Tks. much.
Damn, totally not fair she has to be the one to support the family while her parents continue to pop kids out
More kids means more support for parents and grandparents in the Philippines. Twenty year olds have lots of kids so when they are 40 and too old to work they have 20 year olds to help them financially...and then the cycle repeats. Because of rampant age discrimination in the Philippines it is hard to keep a job after 40. It is not like America where older people don't expect their adult children to support them. In the Philippines social security is basically your kids and extended family.
@@yayafanit's why many Filipinas leave the Philippines as OFWs because the country is a third world joke. Life expectancy as well is so bad here. Many are lucky to make it to 70. For older people to rely on young ones to support them is a scary thought. It's why Phillipinees is ranked so low on global scale.
Another interesting video, as always!
Ingat
Thank you! Cheers!
👍Old Dog: "You're going to do all the talking here..." Riiiiiiiight....🤣😂😉😇😇😇 Good video Paul.
Hi @ims3146 Thanks, Old Dog!
Paul ! ... Is it as if the Philippines and its wonderful people bring out the best in people, or is it the case that the best people with the best values seek the Philippines?
Or both ?
Much respect , love and honor to the Philipines ! 💟 💐💐💐
There are many many horror stories of terrible foreigners taking advantage, and also vice versa. Most channels showcase the positive, but there is negative everywhere.
If you are positive, with a good head on your shoulders, positivity will come back to you
@@chrism4008 Yes, you are completely right !
Thanks for reminding me that the reality can be very ugly ...
Most of all, I get mad at the foreighners who are not respectful to the Filipinas or are abusive 😡
Hi @Independent... I think it's a mix of both. We've definitely seen the best in people here!
Nicole is a very pretty lady.
Excellent video Paul. You and Mae are great people for helping her out. Protect that young lady, she is pretty. Keep rocking the videos.
I married a Filipina who was the eldest child out of 7 and people don't really get how much pressure the parents put on the eldest daughter to help the family. My wife had to give up so much of her own young life because of the pressure her mother put on her to stay to help, to earn a living for the whole family. With her disability, I admire Nicole for her commitment to her family and the hard work she does.
Hi @faronray5765 We've seen that too, with Baby Mae being the eldest of 5 siblings. Her sacrifices are admirable.
What a lovely young woman. Good of you guys to be her friend and of her family to look out for her.
A very beautiful young lady. Wishing her the best for her bravery with the handicap.
Hi @keithdavis6604 Thank you, your kind words mean a lot to us!
Very very nice video… I’m so glad baby Mae is taking Nicole under her wing 😊… God Bless all of you….
Hi @marcrichard7251 Thank you, we're grateful for your support!
This was very heart touching
A great story, and Mae comes to the rescue. Looking forward to Mae's next video.
Beautiful video Paul. So proud of you & Mae for reaching out & befriending this young lady. Extremely nice of you Paul to also help her in purchasing a battery for her hearing aid. Wish I was there to hire this young lady to clean for me & perhaps other tasks. I so admire these young girls who work to support their family. What a responsibility that is placed on such a young person. I can't imagine many young people doing this in the U.S./West IMHO. Certainly a big cultural difference.
Nice show. The batteries look like 13. I think they had an orange tab. They are not real expensive over here. Get luck to the young lady. Blessings to you Paul and your beautiful wife, baby Mae.❤❤
Great video Paul and Baby Mae. Good luck to the beautiful young lady. God Bless!
Hi @k9companion231 Thanks for watching! Appreciate your support.
Very nice video Paul keep being awesome
Thanks, you too!
God bless you both ! What a great testimony of strength and will to you Nicole ! 🎉😊
Mr. Paul my Filipina is partially deaf and I purchased a hearing aid and batteries on Amazon. They deliver (unless it’s a very expensive item-then they request you pick it up) and it usually takes about 5-7 days. Easy peasee.
Thanks for sharing
Beautiful Young Lady - Wishing Nicole the Best !!
Hi @dougparson4407 Thanks for your kind wishes!
Excellent Paul and Mae, you’re a blessing, helping out with Ms. Nicole. Thanks for sharing and best wishes to Ms. Nicole, she appears to be an amazing woman.
Thanks so much
Thanks Paul for all these informative videos! Keep it up!
Glad you like them!
She seems very nice. Good for Mae to befriend her 😊
Great job Paul and kind heart you and Baby Mae have!❤❤👍👍
Hi @danielhuntington2116 Thank you, your support means a lot to us!
A cochlear implant can almost cure that. Much better than a hearing aid.
A great idea, but undoubtedly very expensive. With her family's situation, Nicole would need a lot of help, like a go fund me, or something similar.
Many strict requirements for a cochlear implant as it’s a surgical procedure a very complex surgical procedure taking about one year for the brain to adjust to each device. They do one and then about a year later if it works well they go to the second side.
We enjoy your videos, keep them coming
Hi @Eddy-ev5tm Thanks for watching and supporting our content!
Hi Paul, great blog. It’s good to watch blogs of blessings from people with good hearts. I’m coming to the Philippines in May hope to meet you there.

Good Work! Great support of part of our community that can remain invisible. Nicole is so brave to be on camera and so pretty. I think the handicapped can get teased a bit more in the Phillys.

A lovely young woman
Hi @mercenarymike1397 Thank you for watching!
I'm friends with Nicole on Facebook also.
Hi @RoeMantic Cool! Small world!
Your a good man thanks
Hi @kurtknight276 Thank you!
My plans are to retire between the Philippines and Thailand. I absolutely cannot wait! This last economic downturn literally killed my investments, and I’m extremely hopeful the money will return within the next year or so. I haven’t dated an American woman in probably more than a decade, and I’m certain that when I marry again, she will be from one of these two countries. I am truly excited. 🙂👍🏻
A very very young beautiful lady.
Hi @patrickhe5361 Thanks for watching, appreciate your feedback!
Great story, the world is a better place with Nicole in it. Wish I had met her a lot of years ago. I am sure Nicole can accomplish anything. Thank you.
Couldn't agree more!
wow shes pretty
Paul you’re so funny, you have that sense of humor.this young girl needs help and Mae is trying to help and you especially Paul. Keep up the good work.
Hi @Manila-sb3sn Thanks for the support! We appreciate it!
Much respect to you both especially Baby Mae for welcoming this young lady as a friend. It makes me sad to know but I understand about the majority of her hard earned money going to the family. Hope the boyfriend turn out to be a decent long term guy for her. Great video Paul 👍👍
Hi @derekhorsburgh6238 Appreciate your kind words and understanding of Baby Mae's situation. Thanks for watching!
I was planning on retiring in Brazil, but I might have to check out the Philippines soon.
Hi @lakehouse9305 Welcome to our little corner of paradise! We'd love to have you here in Dumaguete!
My heart goes out to her
❤
Hi @davidj.5896 Thank you for your kind thoughts!
Interesting, my parents are deaf and ASL is my first language. Great interview!
Hi @willbucks Thanks for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
Hi Paul
Andrew from Las Vegas I have been watching your channel since before Covid
Just an interesting observation
My father is the same age as yours and our birthdays are a few weeks apart February 1955
What an excellent and gracious video. My grandmother was deaf her entire life and contracted from Diphtheria disease in late 1890’s in Scotland and died at 100.
Keep up the excellent content and you have. Very lovely and kind wife.
Moving from Las Vegas to Cebu in May with my wife (Venezuelan) I’m Australian
Cheers!
Andrew
Thanks so much Andrew
That young lady reminds me a bit about my mom’s life. My mom wasn’t deaf but she was the eldest in a large family and she was responsible for raising her siblings. They were poor also.
Hi @albruns9846 That's beautiful, thank you for sharing!
Beautiful lady ❤
Hi @tjking1909 Thanks for watching!
She’s lovely.😊
Hi @natesquestyouknowthatsrigh8269 Thanks! We're glad you think so!

Hi @terryashley4674 Thank you!
Very beautiful lady
Hi @davidwright3222 Thank you!
Always like your vlogs 😊
Hi @stephenwilcox3295 Thanks! Glad you enjoy them!
She is cute but there is waaaaay to much going on in her life to have to deal with all that.
5 siblings and her mother is pregnant/ parents dont want her to go out but will accept her hearing aid from a foreigner.
I'm not even on the hearing disability; but this is a major project for any one man to tackle.
good man - I have Tinnitus which cannot be fixed and a Filipino wife - we survive 😊
Hi @phil-54 Thank you for sharing your story, friend! We're glad to hear you're making it work.
She’s The perfect woman
Hi Paul it would be great if Nicole could see the best ENT surgeon in the Philippines to evaluate her hearing to see if it’s possible that anything could be done to restore her hearing if a go fund me page was possible I’d gladly contribute a little something to help her thank Paul baby Mae and Nicole for your video and may I add I’m very proud of baby Mae for being a friend to Nicole God may sit high but he looks low and sees kindness thank you may 🌻
Hi @margarettownsley9500 Thanks for the kind words! We're happy to hear that Baby Mae's friendship with Nicole has been helpful.
Good video Mr. Paul for you and your wife helping out that deaf young lady. However, that country needs to do a better job of birth control with their population.
Hi @wilsoncedeno543 Thanks for the kind words! We're glad to help others whenever we can.
Such a very nice vid Paul.
This young lady deserve the best, as the eldest in a filpina family she will have to sacrifice and work hard.
Lwts hope she can gain more experience and get work, that beings in more $$$.

Hi @franktaylor7617 Best of luck to her, thanks for watching!
She’s very nice looking and she shouldn’t let the hearing loss affect her confidence . Anyone dating her should be willing to except any of her faults we all have faults no one is perfect .
Hi @davidchimera734 Thanks for the support! We're glad you think so too.
I would love to meet her, I lost my hearing as well and I was successful
Paul, does Nicole read lips? In English or her native dialect? Would you ask Mae to follow up with her? I interpret in our church here in the US so this hits a soft spot in my heart. Thanks, Paul.
Pretty young woman.
