The only part about this I would change is the horses dying... its just a small plot hole... getting new horses each time would leave him wondering where his horses were going...

Some people find the monsters and events that fill you with dread and terror the most scary......however ones that mess with your memory are definitely worse. Even more so if you are an unwilling participant who can't even remember it.
Welp. That there is a planet I would never, ever visit without at least one Blank, a lot of high fire-rate guns, and more promethemium than can fill the fuel bunker of a Baneblade.
And a heavy flamer... you never forget the heavy flamer brother.
Maybe a Titan as an escort as well?
The funny thing is that planet doesnt sound all that bad. Other than a vampired passing for a governor it is less bad than your average forgeworld or a hiveworld

It's almost certainly a vampire. They've existed in 40k since the very beginning. They're just rarely mentioned and mostly forgotten.
Ya, vampires do exist they’re just a rare type of xenos that invaded earth during the Middle Ages

When the writer who wants to tell a vampire story in the WH40K universe dares to move away from the golden goose - the Space Marines - by not using the pseudo-vampires Blood Angels, and he remembers that there actually are vampires in this universe, which are a rare race of giant-bat-like xenos who shapeshift according to the race they want to infiltrate and manipulate the thoughts of certain individuals, and that in the end it gives a very good story that ventures into the more obscure corners (in every sense) of this universe.

One of my favorite parts of listening to these stories is figuring out what the creatures are based on their descriptions since they almost never come out and directly say it.

The most unbelievable part of wh40k is not the demons, warp, space aliens and space marines. But is the fact that they want to sell me that 40 000 years from now after a literal galactic apocalypse the imperial system of measurement and the southern US accent are still alive and well
And that they imported bears to another planet
In-universe, I believe they don't speak English at all; Low Gothic is supposed to be a hybridised descendent of English, Spanish and Chinese, IIRC.
Likewise, High Gothic isn't actually Latin, it's either an older version of Gothic that's less diverged from what was presumably the standard interstellar language of the Dark Age of Technology, or a separate language altogether.
How is that unbelievable when the regression is so high and accents on different planets vary quite a lot

It's not though- it's culturally British, reflecting its creators and main writers. Most of the accents, when hinted at, are English accents. And we use imperial measurements in England.

It's a daemon of Tzeentch because it has 9 eyes (The Changer's sacred number) and its entire sales pitch to the crew is "I have the knowledge to get you out of here, I will give you that knowledge if you do what I want". Tzeentch's way of doing business.

Listening to this I thought, you could have a Helldivers 2 kind of game, where you play as grunt or low level version of classes and fight a host of factions and horrors on cool planets or in spaceships. Probs wouldn't sell right now but could be dope
i stand by this when i say if i was in the 40k universe i'm finding the quickest way to die and obliterating my soul because nothing is worth ending up the play thing of some demon, much less the imperium of man
Weshammer's Horror Hour is one of the best WH40k content on YT. Thats my opinion and I stand for it.
I'm convinced Wes is actually the God emperor. No mere human could make consistent amazing content.
Weshammer made me enjoy the idea of a southerner sounding devotee to the Big E is possible. I love it.
I hope to see more stores like this during October.
These Grimdark story hour videos have become my favourite 40k content. Phenomenal job Wes.
Haven't been tuned in lately but it's cool you're doing "voices" for characters, that's new to me. It can be fun and tough guessing what accents and inflections would be common 40k years in the future.

Bruh, Wes reading W40K Horror Anthology Stories made me very sad that we don`t have Amnesia the Bunker W40K edition where the monster is a Necron Greater Flayed One. Massive good horror game potential but GW does not want to make variable cool different W40K games.

The creature sounds like someone found a Halo device. Those things are terrifying and yeah immortality, inhuman strength and speed, corpse like appearance, insatiable hunger for human flesh are all recorded affects.
The original person could have been a good person and just unknowingly gotten it.
That or a Vargheist from Warhammer Fantasy managed to jump dimensions
Nah its probably a lacrymole, theres a short novel about these guys on Amazon. They have their own wiki page and horus even used one as an assassin during his heresy.

Yeah - Not only gene-modified ones of Krieg but also of Tallaran and of Chogoris. I can imagine that there are many places with horses all over the galaxy. They are useful animals in the face of AI rebellion. And even after death... A horse servitor is as useful as a living one.

Yet this thing would stand no chance against the hive fleets of the Tyranids. They don't stop no matter what even fighting the horrors of the warp. They have no fear just one goal kill and consume.

I think the only difference between an action scene and a horror scene is a gun. If you’re a teenager being attacked by Jason then yeah, that’s horror. But if you have a gun, you can fight back and that’s action. Warhammer is so perfect for this concept because for every time there’s a guardsman facing down the literal manifestation of murder, there’s a hundred civilians holding their breath in some dark crevice hoping the dark eldar raiders will pass them by.
What if jason also has a gun?
