Eight years ago, I was making a youtube montage of Formula D Long Beach for school. Shreeve sees me trying to poke my cheap borrowed camcorder through the fence and invites me into the press-only area RIGHT next to the initiation point, telling security that I'm his helper or some bs. Being inches away from these incredible machines as they initiated for the first turn (with nothing but air between me and their rear bumpers) was of the very greatest experiences in my motoring life, and something I will never, ever forget. Thanks Shreeve, glad to see you're still rippin

I'm 40, my 2011 WRX is my first car I felt the same way about. I think the key to having a car you feel like it's family is simplicity. My WRX doesn't have anything to get dated on it, it's a box with 4 wheels and a motor.
