- Doritos may be life for some of us here in the building, but we'll be the first to admit that a rotary not the most cost effective engine you can build/run. Toyota's 1JZ engine, on the other hand, is an absolute ripper, easy to maintain, and sounds amazing. So when you combine that with one of the best looking cars from the 80s, you get this: a home built drift shredder of a car.

A car, an engine capable of getting a car loose, and a good driver that knows how to put it down.
This would be a dream build. Clean, simple, effective, easy to maintain, and fun.

swapping an rx7 is probably one of the most controversial car topics on the Internet i own an FC and i love the rotary and don't like swaps i've had many people asked me about swapping it and only met one person that wants me to keep it rotary and i am but this guy did a clean swap and he had his rotary for a few years and he ended up putting the JZ in there because it was cheaper in the long run rotaries are special and they need special care you need them built right and you cant cheap out on them or reliability and performance will suffer they can be very expensive and im learning that because im trying to build mine currently without said i very much do like this swap because it has meaning and it is very clean
