- Are you having issues trying to load staples into your staple gun?
I have had a few comments about the loading of staples in the Dewalt DWHTTR510 Stapler Brad Nailer Multi Tool. So this video should help those of you who have been having issues with this, and finding it difficult.
The stapler loading mechanism does have a spring built in, so as soon as you insert staples or brads into the tool, it will hold them in place and ensure they are pushed forward ready to be fired.

Fast forward to 4:45 to see how staples are loaded. Thanks for the info!
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!
Thanks
I felt stupid having to consult RUclips to figure out what I was doing wrong, but this was SO helpful! I was trying to load the staples on the 'track' of the pull-out-thing, like a regular stapler. It never would have occurred to me that they would go in underneath and infant of it. Thank you SO much! And for what it's worth, I'm loving this thing--I'm upholstering some chairs with wooden bases and it's doing a great job!
Same! I thought I had it all figured out, until no staples were coming out… 😂 🤦🏾
Same - could be called bottom-loader. All my previous standard staplers were top loaders.
I was just in Bunnings car park about to return something similar to this and quickly watched this it really helped saved me from waking in Bunnings looking like a idiot not knowing how to work this many thanks
This should not be 10 mins. But thank you lol.
Agreed!
Right! 🤣 just get to it
@@jcali1323 man lmao. Just fucking up their analytics. Cause everybody skipped forward
Yes. Way TMI on the spring.
For the algorithm. 😂
Thank you we was so confused about where to install the Staples we thought they went on top of the black bar
Was so grateful for this video today. I found out the staples were in backwards. Once that was corrected the staple tacker worked like magic. Thank you.
I never knew Chris Martin was such a staple expert! Thanks Chris!
*The 3 speed is good **MyBest.Tools** trying to keep to a low speed for a long time with just the trigger is hard. The only negative is I keep bumping the on/off switch when changing blades, not dangerous but annoying.*
These guys bots?
I feel so stupid! I just bought this exact stapler and started loading the staples...onto the plastic tray that you get when you open up the loading chamber. Who would have thought the staples are supposed to be loaded internally? Thanks, my man, you just rescued my sanity.
Last time I used a staple gun was my dad's old Arrow staplers and they had a fully removed slide, so I did exactly the same thing.
Home Depot had half one star reviews and half 5 star reviews. I knew something had to be up. The product didn’t have any instructions so I came here. Thank you for making the video, I followed your guidance and all my stapling came out perfectly.
Just opened mine yesterday and there is instructions sandwiched between the plastic and cardboard. I didn’t realize they were there until I took the packaging apart apart
@@cmonaghan68 I didn't realize they were there until I used scissors to open the package and cut them into pieces... and then had to sift through the mess... and STILL needed this video to get me going...
One of the best presentations on the net. Thank you.
I could not figure it out. Thank you for taking the time to show the details. I, for one, needed the step by step. Your presentation was perfect for me.
Thanks bud, I hadn’t used mine in 5 years and totally forgot. U da man!
Haha, cool man 👍
Omg me too! I was putting it in wrong and thought mine was broken 🤣🤣
😂 after watching it 3xs I finally got it. Geeeeez it’s going to be a long journey to learning tools. Rotary tool next. Ty for the video.
You saved the day, I was ready to take my stapler back, I had it loaded incorrectly, 😊 , thanks for this video
Man! I was like huh.....where is the freaking spring??? YOU are the man. Thank you!!!!
Cool man 👍
Thank you I was wondering how to load the 15 mm nails and I got it from your video. Thank you once again
Much Thanks, this tutorial was exactly what I was looking 4.
Very useful, thank you
Thank you! This was very helpful
Great video I just picked the stapler up at a swap meet for $5 I got the five in one I didn't know what a good deal I had until I watch this video ...thank you
Dang, I got one of these, a riveter tool, and some fasteners all for 7.50 at the auction lol
Thanks! Great help. I was loading it from the top like my old stapler and obviously it wasn't working.
Thanks for the help! I can use mine now!
Thank you. Very helpful
Omfg that made me feel like an idiot. Thanks , it’s working now. 😂
Cheers Justin,on route to Screwfix to get one, useful bit of kit to have .
Easy leash thank you for your help
Yo the leader singer of coldplay is also handy!!! 🤯
Thanks for your help
Thanks for this video, I was racking my brain lol
Thank you very much!😅
Great help!! Thanks
Dewalt tools are never intuitively designed. You always need to consult external sources to find out how to use them.
hell ya. im was loading it in the tray not the gun. thank you!
Thank you!
Great information.
Good video, I would of liked to see the use of the increased power setting 😊
Great video. Thanks
Thank you ! Ya I was doing it wrong lol!
THANK YOU!!!😃
Thanks!!
Thank u bro i needed this i was about to return it lmaoo
Thanks
Thanks !🙂
Thank you ☺️
Thanks!
Pretty straight forward. It helped me out. Thanks. I was also wondering how the +/- tension adjustment knob works. Maybe you could explain that so we learn a little bit more about this awesome tool. Thanks again.
Ty
This actually works
What can you tell me about the different crown lengths? With 3 different manufactured stapler guns, I found out not all staples are not the same.
Great review! Except first two minutes which were some sort of advertisement for the stapler. Just got my stapler and loaded it completely wrong (as I used to load my old one).
As an electrician that does strictly remodels this is an absolute essential tool. ruclips.net/user/postUgkx0vyBwjtx9GGOuiqUVT2sRoYqmDoNT_RI Being able to precision cut any material with a light weight tool is priceless.I upgraded to this Dewalt 20v from a competitor's 12v. The Dewalt 20v is just as light as the competitor's 12v. I am extremely pleased with the overall performance and battery life of this tool. As far as oscillators go, they just aren't very ergonomic tools. The dewalt oscillators have an offset handle that do make them somewhat more ergonomic than the competitors' oscillators.
3:41 you’re welcome friend 👍
MY MAN.
Somebody wake me up when he gets to loading this gun please
Lifesaver!
I came to this video to figure out how to load the common Arrow T-50 stables. They seem to be the in-between size for this gun. The slot for the stables has 2 "floor" levels. If the stables are the max size they drop in straight like in your video. I'd assume if you got the very narrow staples they would drop into the lower floor to the left. When I initially tried my T-50 stables they are not max size yet too big for either floor width. Turns out you need to put them in carefully so they lay flat on narrow right floor and don't tilt into the lower left floor. If they're tilted the side won't close. You really have to lay the gun on it side as you load to keep them from tilting over.
Good review. Thinking of getting this and wondering what size staples it will take and if it will use generic staples or only Dewalt? Thanks!
On my Dewalt I am using Arrow brand 1/4" 6mm T50 staples. On the box it says it will fit Dewalt, Stanley, Bostitch, and of course Arrow staplers. They work just fine and I believe, as long as the dimensions fit the ramifications of your stapler, any generic staples would work.
This should be a 20 second video come on man im on rural internet just need the answer
I bought this for my husband. He couldn't get it to work so I am looking at your videos for help. It seems to be completely missing the spring to push the staples forward. It has no spring action at all. Is it possible to see the spring in your gun because I cannot see the one in this one at all.
10:00 video !!!! On how to use a staple gun oh my geeeez
Thank you, Justin, nice & helpful video. Stay safe.
🙏
Can someone tell me what the thin black switch at the base of the handle does?
ANYONE KNOW WHERE TO FIND ASSEMBLY / DISASSEMBLE OF THIS? BEEN TRYING TO FIND SUPPORT. OPENED TO CLEAN JAM AND IT DID NOT OPEN EASY. GOT THREE TINY PIECES UNSURE WHERE TO GO
Fast forward about 4 mins in to actually get to the load process.
That was freaky, my name is Brian and I did buy the 2 in 1
😂😂😂
Everyone who loaded them on the wrong side of the chamber raise your hand. 🙋♂
It's not loaded like say a red (or other color) Swingline or Bostich office stapler. I have an old something (name worn off) staple gun that has a spring that comes out and staples go in. Very common sense loading.
Thanks, Justin.
And no thanks to DeWalt for omitting instructions.
I’m such a dope, thank u so much for the simple video
Staples @4:30 Brads @7:00 thank me later
Is now a good time?
Is this easy on hand when squeezing the trigger?
It takes a little effort as its mechanical, but not hard work!
Wow. 😅
3:17... talk about burying the lead... SHHEESSSH dude, stop the fillabuster!
How do you replace the spring
No idea 😀
Maybe I'll publish a video when my spring breaks!
Mine won’t catch it just squeezes with no pressure
I bought one and returned it because I thought it had been defective and I see that it was because I did not know how to use it 😅
Holy shit I'm retarded. I was placing the staples on the other side of the slider. They fit so nicely it just seemed right.
Hi, is the size of this tacker suitable for smaller female hands? Or is it for big blokes?
Haha, I'm no big bloke!!
👍✅
This should be 30 seconds tops
I thought my stapler was broken. My other stapler loads from inside.
Takes talent to stretch a 4 second video into 11 minutes.
My mode switch is a bitch to move! I have to get my husband to do it with arthritis and can't budge it. Did I get a lemon?
wish he would stop waffling and GET ON WITH IT!
Zero information until finally 2:33 into the video
Thanks! I was loading from the slide rail. This design is truly brilliant once you realize how to load it. Lol. Cheers. 🇺🇸
Edit:
I must say... This stapler is powerful. I just used it to staple steel to wood and it shot all the way in and bent around the steel.
2 mins and 30 seconds you finally started saying something I actually care about
🪑🤦♂️🚀🧪🧮💭🤸♂️
Except that there's a red plastic guide that prevents the staples from being loaded. Nothing in the instructions about that. Took it back to HD and got an Arrow.
That's the spring part that pushes against the staples so they're in proper firing position.
@@Lu-db1uf Yes and that's Where it stops. Staples don't slide in and rail doesn't close. And guess what? Nobody at Home Depot could get it to work either!
@@captaintightpants581 i have the same issue i dont understand this
Skip to 5 min to skip the soapbox
You never showed how to load the staples into gun.
Nope. I’m not having it. I just bought one and none of the staples would even fit in the little slot. Even the office staples! He just dropped them in. 🤔
Hmmmm, that's odd. Dewalt do a very similar model that only takes heavy duty staples. Is this definitely the same model?
I am having the same problem as well.
@@kelseaarcher8478 hey! I figured it out. The staples these guns use are totally different from paper staples and you’ve got tp buy them separately. Once you do that, the staple is punched straight into the object without bending. For example a paper stapler you’d want to hold papers together. But if you wanted to staple those papers to a telephone pole, you’d want to use the dewalt stapler.
Get to the point sooner. I’m in the middle of a project and couldn’t figure out how to change the stupid staples, it took 4 minutes into your video to find the 2 second answer.
Sorry about that, try the fast forward feature. A comprehensive introduction is key :)
You talk to much. Straight to the point. I got shit to do. Cut down all the BS and give what we need.
Over ten minutes on how to load a goddam stapler
Too much blabber
10 minutes to explain , !!!!!!!! Omg!!!!!😂😂😂😂
Ten fucking minutes
😆😆😆
If you were more specific with your search, the video starts exactly where you find out how to load the stapler. After finding out how to load the stapler, I decided to watch the entire video and it is very helpful in explaining all the features of the 5 in 1 stapler. Thank you JB!
@@mindygehring467 Regardless, the comment was funny 😹
My god get to the point
don't spend 5 minutes of a 11 minute video getting to the fucking point, mate.
A ten minute video which could have been one minute...what a joke.
🤣🤣🤣
get to the point.
jesus get to the point
