Honestly, if the price was $2000 in USA and EU, and you only had to drive to pick it up and drive it away, and it was legal to drive (even if limited in speed), then a lot of people would buy it. Add a tiny silent 3-stroke or 4-stroke engine, and the circuits and electronics to recharge the battery while driving, then even at $4000, a lot of people would buy it as a commuter car with the possibility to use it even for a cross-country drive without having to wait hours every time you want to recharge, as long as you get enough fuel to have it recharge overnight.
Where would you add the generator? It's already very limited on space. But yes I believe this would be a good purchase.

Those trucks have a barrel switch built into the door latch. They get stuck from over greasing. Spray a ton of silicone spray into the latch assembly , slam the door ,spray, slam, repeat till chime stops. Your welcome.

Now for a motor that's still 72 volts but way higher amps, up to the max the battery will safely put out. Invest in a thermal imager though and make sure the thermals are ok, don't want a fire

These chinese rear axles like the one that you have there are just so impressive when it comes to torque at low rpm. I bought a little chinese offroad buggy with the same Rear-axle-diff thing and it is a beast when I drive it steep uphill or in a uneven forest.

Yes, its a little Electric car with offroad suspension. Looks a little bit like a Willys Jeep and has the exact same looking rear axle.

The fun part is, that you can buy one and make a remote controlled Military ground drone out of it. Just put some optics and a 50 cal on it and it would be cool. Better than all of the other Military drones which cost around 250000 dollars per drone.

Get yourselves another motor / rear axle and build a little truck bed for it. Could even slap some tracks on the rear. Might notbe a proper tank, but it'll do as a halftrack :)
We’ll just keep driving our 11 Ranger XLT super cab 4WD with the 4.0L V6, 5spd automatic transmission 3.55 limited slip differential with a tow pkg, custom 2 tone paint (Silver over Red metallic), custom upholstery to match the custom paint, custom wheels, pinstripes, window vent shades, rear air shocks, LineX spray in bed liner, tonneau cover, K&N intake, 3” FlowMaster exhaust.
I changed the front and rear differential, transfer case and transmission fluid at 30K miles.
I change the oil and filter every 6 months (about every 1,500 miles) with Valvoline High Mileage full synthetic oil. (High Mileage motor oil has additives to reduce wear).
I run Cooper Discoverer A/T tires.
Each winter I put 260# of sand bags over the rear axle for better traction on the snow covered roads.
Our 11 Ranger will soon be 13 years old and has only 36K miles.
If a Bronco & a Highlander had a baby, you'd get this baby Bronco, Smol Edition.

I do a lot of electrical work as a maintenance tech. The smoke conversion cracked me up. When someone smokes a motor at work we always tell them, “well you aren’t supposed to let the smoke out” 😂😂

Take that controller apart and look for the "shunts" lay some solder between it and you will notice a huge increase in torque

Go purchase a wrecked sport bike, like a busa, gsxr or a zx-10 Kawasaki that has a good running engine & put in that e-car . If you want to stay electric find a wrecked Telsa car & take the motor out of that & put it in your electric car. I think it will be a really fast car eith way.

Just a heads up. I’ve been seeing videos of Chinese electric vehicles spontaneously catching fire. I’d keep this one outside or make sure you insurance is premium.

I love the Tank grill and headlights. If you don’t know what Tank is.. it’s China’s off-road brand of body on frame 4x4s. The Tank 300 is one of few Chinese vehicles I wish was sold in North America. It’s beautiful.

That Ranger is independent rear suspension and solid front axle? Idk how I hadn’t noticed that before. That’s even more unique than a 6x6.

Oh man Will airing down the front tires probably added more resistance 😅 your power curve at full throttle is below the 65 odd volts the speed controller is rated for in the smart car & not the "72v" lipo batteries. But since it dipped below 68v on max acceleration voltage demand but as soon as you let off the volts on the lipo go up to whatever the battery max charge is at. In a 72volt battery 50% charge is 72v exactly & low volt cut off is like 63v so the operational voltage range is very restricted being a 72v max charge would be 84v. So it wouldn't even lasted that long before you'd need to charge to 75% again not even worth draining a lipo to lvc "Dead" it literally will cut your battery longevity in half too. Thats awesome that it was already wired for 72v though just a little switch of a wire! Very entertaining video guys right up my alley! Cheers from Colorado!!
