What's your favorite? Like this video or have a hairline like mine
My favorite switches every now and then so I'll just give you my favorite as of right now and thats MK Deception, ESPECIALLY cause I'm such a huge fan of Konquest mode. I was so disappointed they stopped it after Armageddon cause you would think it would be a staple mode since its so loved by fans and I would had loved to see how more they could make out of it. Hopefully they bring it back in the next game.
You don't have a bad hairline
Bro I remember watching you back in the day react to Rock songs if you wanna do a collab when MK12 come out lmk
Mortal kombat Armageddon 👌

Playing MK2 in the arcades was an unreal experience. The lines were crazy, and putting your quarter up on the machine, to claim you're next started with that game I feel. I also used to beat it in the arcade and people would gather around just to watch
That’s so dope
Mk let’s gooooo🎉
This is when Mortal Kombat became a CULTURAL thing and when it really TOOK off. This was the reason to go to the Arcade. Or to the store or laundry place with the MK2 arcade machine.
Mk1 was Crazy in arcades but mk2 was insane mk 2 in those days I was the 10 11 year old kid couldn't nobody beat that knew all the fatalities cause I ripped the pages from the GamePro magazine 😆
Hahahaha yes. I had a cheat sheet that came from Electronic Gaming Monthly on me at all times. Liu Kang's dragon fatality was the first one I ever pulled off
I had MK2 on the Super Nintendo back in 1993 and I played that game everyday for a whole year , all of the neighborhood would come to my house to have tournaments and MK2 parties , it was one the greatest combat games to this day
I miss those times of going over to people’s houses to game.
MK2 in the arcade was one of the greatest experiences and for them to come to home consoles later. It was like waiting for a movie to come out on VHS. I miss those days.
Man, being born in the late 80s and getting to appreciate the 90s as a kid was really unique. They would make toys for kids that were based on R rated movies like ALIENS, Predator and Terminator. Street Fighter and Tekken anime had blood and nudity. So like, some parents weren't about having there kids taking part and other parents didn't care (like mine lol). So when MK hit the scene, shit was hype. It was like an R rated videogame that you weren't supposed to play. Only the cool kids did. Halloween was nothing but Sub, Scorp... And Ghostface from scream lol
Kids in school would fight if you weren't dressed as the same character. So you'd see sub and scorp kids fighting everywhere.. and when the first movie hit.. oh man. That movie and song .. damn good times
Kids dressing up as Ghostface for Halloween is a universal constant.
@@The_NJG Not like it was when the first movie came out. Half the block was Ghostface.
MK original at the bottom? Dude, it was the darkest, perfect in balance and is still a frickin' blast with someone that knows everything about it. These young kids just don't understand. Lol
I’ll never forget being 6 years old and playing konquest on deception for the first time. Never got past the first realm because there was a kombo in the last bo rai cho training mission that I couldn’t get for some reason. When i came back years later and played it I couldn’t believe on the story I missed out on.
UMK3 is the GOAT. MK2 solidified MK as one the best franchises. Deception has the most fire Konquest which I believe should be in future installments also we need some more of Chaosrealm and Orderealm
Yes
Bro MK 2 was the ONE!!!!1 The hyper around it all still lingers to this day. A real trend setter. Definitely among the top 10 greatest fighting game . Round 1.......FIGHT!!!!!!!!
The MK2 and UMK3 days were wild. Plenty of secrets and codes, but no internet. Felt like a scavenger hunt finding out stuff.
I remember going to the arcades in Vegas. You'd get all hyped up hearing the huge ass umk3 machine. People would get all hyped when you'd bust out run combos and fatalities.
I was 7 when MK2 came out in the arcades. I wasn’t technically allowed to go to the arcade’s because there was an age limit of 13 years old in most arcades in my area due to the fighting game rage that was going on at that time but MK2 was such a massive game that they were allowing everyone to go and experience that moment. It was unreal and really something you couldn’t describe to people who weren’t there, lines were longer than some Black Friday lines at the time, the first day of those cabinets probably had more money put in for those arcade cabinet owners to buy a house. MK2 was peak arcade popularity from my perspective, despite there being some amazing games since then I don’t believe I’ve ever seen arcades packed and lines waiting to play one game more than MK2
I want to thank you for taking the time to do this and for appreciating the classic games the way you did. Having said that, I just want to clarify one thing about UMK3: it wasn't a response or a "redemption" game after vanilla MK3. UMK3 is the game they wanted to do from the start, but had no time to finish in time. You have to keep in mind the competition in the 90's for the "king of arcade fighting games" was FIERCE and Midway had plenty of competitors, gunning for that title, especially after MKII's success. The development team had to meet certain dates, when Game Conventions (like e3, ACME, AMOA) took place, they had to show something already working.
Also, the console release of MK3 was going to decrease the arcade versions revenue for arcade Operators/Owners, since it happened only 6 months after. So they anticipated this, by promising Owners they would get a "free ROM update" for MK3 in September/October when they pitched the game back in March 1995. It was a brilliant move from a business/advertising perspective, they basically made twice the money, since MK3 was a novelty in April and then when the game's hotness was going down, they sent everyone back to the arcades with the MASTERPIECE: UMK3. There's plenty of proof for this, the behind the scenes videos documentary, the mentions of the upgrade for the game since the beginning in magazines, interviews and of course, when the game was officially launched. So, they didn't dropped the ball with MK3, they knew what they were doing ;) I enjoyed every single arcade MK game in the 90's, starting with MK1 in 1993 when it got here (Colombia), so yes, I lived it all.
Great video!
I was alive when MK first started and my first game was MK2, it's pretty hard to comprehend just how crazy it was at the time. You had this game so popular Congress was holding sessions about how graphic it was. News stations were advocating for parent groups while at the same time reporting on impressive sales figures. There was no Internet at the time and no game guides for the moves so you had to basically had to just maah and see what worked, if you discovered a fatality code you were essentially royalty in the friend group. They were told to market only to adults but had a cartoon and made toys, it was truly a wild time
I played the first MK on arcade (it was in the lobby of a Mexican restaurant lol) when I was about 9. I was intrigued. It was so mysterious and mature and just had this spooky occult
vibe. When MK2 dropped in the arcade, man... it was hype to say the least. That game scared the shit out of me... the forest stage, Shao Kahn's voice, Baraka's fatality, etc. It's hard to put into words but being young at that time with the way the culture was... yeah, MK2 had a really dark and sinister vibe but it was so fun to play and watch others compete. Things were a lot different back then before the internet of today where you can see all fatalities on a RUclips clip right away. When you spend your entire allowance in quarters, finally beat Kintaro, then get absolutely smashed by Shao Kahn and told you suck.. you felt that shit.
Just stumbled across this channel today watching MK ranking videos and stuff, and I just wanted to let you know you come across as a really cool dude and you're very easy to listen to. Keep it up man
Thanks man!
I was too young to experience MK2 in the arcade when it was on top of the culture but people were playing MK2 well into the late 90s/early 00s. My local arcade had MK2 and MK4 next to each other and the lines for MK2 were still there while nobody played MK4. Even in highschool in the late 2000s I remember us playing MK2 between Gears of War matches. MK2 is just absolutely legendary and goes beyond into the mainstream.
Also just a quick note. People should play the Arcade version of MK1. It's nowhere as good as MK2 but give it an hour of your time considering it will likely come in a bundle with 2 and 3.
I was 8 when MK2 came out. I loved the first game and being from Chicago (hometown of MK) of course I was excited when MK2 was released. From the dope cinematic trailer to the “coming soon” signs at the arcade. This period is one of my favorite generations as gamer. I believe the way you felt during the mk11 reveal event is similar to the same feelings I felt back then . It’s now 20 years later and I’m happy to have an actual arcade version of the game to relive some of those great memories.
Btw keep up the the good work. Your a real one.
I felt like those who loved MK X hated MK 11 and maybe vise versa? For me personally I liked both but i do favor more towards MK 11
Respect. Especially since you reference the soundtrack in how you rate games. Most people don't do that these days. I did a comparison of MKII with MK11 (seeing a sub II and 11) and you are correct. That also explains why I love MK 11 so much. I can literally play with a style... uppercuts, combo stagger on high block into back HK leg sweeps. It's a hidden gem.
Quite possibly one of the best MK game Tier Lists I've seen on RUclips. Nice to see someone who finally gives MK vs DC, Armageddon and Sub Zero Mythologies its flowers. Those games arent the best of the best but I give them credit for trying new things and tbh they are kinda guilty pleasures lol. Seeing people put them in the same bracket as Special Forces is just laughable.
Entertaining video. I felt the nightmarish atmosphere/vibe that gave MK it's memorable iconic personality in the first place deteriorated BUT in favor of more exciting gameplay like for example I really liked that they made the recent games gameplay faster and flexible compared to the sort of stiffness of the previous games and the added features like Konquest mode, Krypt, etc etc. Also more gruesome fatalities as well. Speaking of Konquest you should rate every episode of MK Conquest next, me personally that would be fun to hear what you got to say about each episode.
Modern MK fans:
*MKX brings back run feature*
"Game too fast slow it down!"
*MK1 keeping things simple and steady*
"GAME TOO SIMPLE!"
MK2 was an event. We had it at a Walmart in my city, and that turned into a long line tournament to the point where the Walmart employees were getting mad because players were hogging up the entrance space. Hype!
oh men, back in the day was crazy. When MK2 first came out it was absurd the level of improvement over the first one, every single detail that made the first one so revolutionary at the time was perfected, there was this fucking lines to play the game, it was absurd.
Besides, it truly gave MK a more distinctive aesthetic and feeling, the first one was basically Enter the Dragon, but the second one added the whole mysticism and made the game really pop out, differenciating it from SF2 and Kof 94 that were the other big fighting games in that era.
That period of time in the early 90's arcade scene was so strange, we got a quick succession of sequels that didn't only improve and perfected the mechanics of the first games (SF 1, MK 1, FF+AoF) but also gave them this amazing new and distinctive feeling, recreating the vibe of the games, you could feel that they really took the games to the next level.
If you pick the top selling games from 2022 (CoD, GoW:R, Elden Ring, Fifa and madden) they are basically the same mechanics and vibe than their predecessors (and in some cases the mechanics got a little worse), all of them are pretty good games, but the clearly try to recreate what the previous game did and thats fine, that is what is expected. But for a brief period of times in the Arcade scene in the early 90's we had some insane sequels.
I spent more time at the arcades in the early 90s playing MK1, MK2, and ESPECIALLY UMK3 than I did being in a HS classroom or at home with my family. The early to mid 1990s were the absolute BEST time to be a teenager who loves video games. Arcade mania!
Deception should be in its own category called GOAT that is to this day still the best MK game of all time based off konquest mode alone.
MKX was for sure great the speed is why it was great...had a lot of good stuff to do if you put the time in. I used to play Cassie on there and was in the top 5 ranked on PS4 when the game came on for about 3 weeks. I adore that game the run mechanic was kinda cool little switch up but I know some people hated the fact that it was so fast and a lot of the DLC characters were super strong(Tremor, Alien, Tanya).
MKX truly brought the unique MK spunk speaking as a UMK3 diehard. I feel as though fast volatile gameplay is what gives MK it's identity. Without it, it sorta feels like a SF clone tbh..
I think this is a pretty good list and video for recommendations. You’ve done a good job man
MK II was fuggin' awesome man, I was around those years!
I had Ultimate MK3 on my DS growing up, and I still have it. loved playing it with my friends and climbing the ladder. never made it past Motaro though.
i almost 100% agree, but i'd put mk1, mksm, mkd, and mkx in must play, and probably lower mk11 to worth trying, but thats personal bias included. i say mk1 in must play not because its super fun, but because its good to see where it all started.
Fun fact: MK Trilogy & Armageddon aren’t the only MK games to have all male & female ninjas (minus Chameleon/Khameleon) in them. Deception also did, all of them just aren’t playable
I just came in and this man hits me with "what´s gucci in the cuchi" like a degenerate... Subscribing.
Had this game on sega genesis and I remember having my friends over playing this all night for my birthday. This game really was the beginning of a great franchise. But trilogy took it to another level!
huuuuge MK2 fan here. Yes I was alive when it came out and I remember the controversy around it too. Trilogy is my personal favorite, mostly because of the vast amount of characters available.. but I loved almost all of them, I love how they were always trying to do something different and no matter how far out they branched they always kept it fun!
Perfect tierlist
Agreed.
the first mk had tons of people around the arcade cab when it came outin 92, mk2 really solidified that experience, with 2 fatalities per character, babalities and friendships. But being 44 now and alive during the golden age of arcades it was amazing. but sf, tekken, killer instinct and even primal rage had people around them all the time as well as the marvel vs series. definitely pick up the 1up arcade cab for mk mk2 and ultmiate mk3. its perfect.
Honestly mortal Kombat for 360 is one of the best mortal kombat games I love how the opening is dark and fits into the story quite well and I love the second hand plot of liu kang and raiden trying to recruit people and figure out what the tournament is really up to, looking for jax was a way better way to introduce him rather then the movie having him not even show up in the tournament
Mk X is the best.
Wanted to know where Mortal Kombat 1 or 2 was located in an arcade back in the day? Look for where a huge crowd was.
Nobody like you
🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
I grew up with a copy of Midway Arcade Classics on the Ps2, and it had MK2 and regular MK3, and I only ever used it to play those ywo games (and Primal Rage), and yhere was something special to just how weird and mysterious the two games were as a dumb kid with no internet access or knowledge on anything like motion inputs, so when an enemy did a fatality it blew my mind. I still distinctly remember it was Nightwolf who did the first one I saw
The bicycle kick!!! Mk2 hands down was epic
Top Tier - MK2, UMK3, MKT
High Tier - MK3, MK1 (Original), Shaolin Monks, MK9, MK10, MK11
Mid Tier - MKDA, MKD, MK4G, MK4
Low Tier - MKA, MKxDCU, Mythologies: Sub-Zero, Special Forces
I haven't played Genesis and Gameboy MK games as i never owned either of those and have no intentions to...but i have played other 17 and this is my tier list! The ranking inside individual tier list from left to right, separated by comas should be read as best to worst! For ex. MK2 is the best top tier MK game, MK3 is the best high tier etc...
I was 9-10 when original mk came out, it was exciting and a decent game for the time as we didn't know much better, an upgrade on games like Pit-Fighter. It was hugely popular and the anticipation for mk2 was unbelievable and it did not disappoint. Mk3 was a disappointment but rectified by UMK3
Such an amazing content!! I love hearing opinions and seeing mkx being appropriated is always nice :)
13:40 I recognize the gameplay footage
Funny freakin video
Shaolin monks should be in the greatest must play category I mean it’s ridiculously fun doesn’t matter if you play by yourself or with friends I truly loved that game as a kid i hope they do a remake & let me buy it on pc 💯
My list Midway era, was pretty much MK2, UMK3, MKD, MKA, MK4 MK1, MK3 and MKDA. All have fun games in there own way.
The best umk3 competitive players come from brasil. the mortal kombat trilogy n64 version is brasil's fav to play purely because of the 3 on 3 mode (this is not included on the psx version)
I loved MK3 as a freshman
I was around since the beginning. MK1 (1992) what is a phenomenon because it was different from anything that was out in the media at the time was attacking violent video games s. Meanwhile, at that time 2 Live Crew was going through the same similar thing with the media but with just music so both of them had to go to court and that’s how we got the reading system for music and video games at that time. now with that said when MK2 came out the media pretty much left Midway alone and what makes it more crazy MK2 was way more violent, and the gameplay was superior to the original game in every way. Even tho UMK3 I like mor, MK2 pretty much set the bar and basically MTA was here to stay. that’s why in that one episode of the last of us with the Ellie flashback they was playing MK2 in the abandoned arcade. NRS needs to do a collection that goes from MK 1992 to Armageddon, and also add the side games, like mythologies and Shaolin monks. I would say MK9-11 but I might be asking for too much
Mortal kombat vs dc was really good. Definitely didn't suck, I just thought the idea of putting super heroes with mortal kombat characters was stupid lol. I get why they did it though.
If Armageddon ain't in The Greatest i'm disliking tf outta this video with all 20 of my lil nephew's accounts.
Greatest?!
I love MK X precisely for the soundtrack and the fast pace, the combination of rock and the multiple styles that the variant system offers made me love this game and make it my fav MK,i just dont find the campaign to be as intriguing or memorable as 9 or 11 but i still love this game for what it is,also the character cast is my favorite in the franchise with jason and leatherface being in my top 5 favorite characters
Mk2 in the arcade was so cool every day at the arcade or the corner store it was unreal in the 90s
In my opinion, the MK1-UMK3 are all good, MK1 started it all, MK2 was a huge upgrade to the previous game, has such good atmosphere and cool characters even though the opponent AI is kind of rigged, I personally think there’s a balance between MK3 and UMK3, MK3 has the cooler stages and easier AI for certain people who are new to the game, but has less characters, UMK3 has more characters, some characters get new special moves, but the AI is a little more difficult for beginners, you see the same stages almost like 3 times before the MK3 ones appear, and some characters like Smoke and Stryker can’t do combos on the female ninjas which I find confusing on why, also Jade, if anyone has played the game long enough, they’ll know how much of a pain it is to fight Jade.
I’ve never played any other MK games besides 1-3, I played MK4 once, I was like 4 at the time, so I didn’t knew what I was doing. I found the gore a bit disturbing, I was just a toddler, so that’s not surprising, but I found the game very fascinating, and it was one of the games that made me like arcade games.
MK 2 In Arcades was like the first Avengers movie an Arcade level
I'ma say
I think the 3D Era
Deadly Alliance, Deception and Armageddon are the best for Mortal Kombat games including it's gameplay
Complex and fast
Fantastic story
Great atmosphere
And all the more
And these 3 deserve a remake
Especially Armageddon
If remade the game can meet it's full glory finally
Bro I'm stealing that intro 🤣🤣🤣
😂😂
1. MK2
2. MKD
3. MK9
4. UMK3
5. MK SM
6. MKT
7. MK DA
8. MK X
9. MK
10. MKA
11. MK11
12. MK3
13. MK4G
14. MK4
15. MKM SZ
16. MK SF
That's a solid list
Perfect list
Yoooo completely agree with your list.
My top 3 is:
Mk9
Mkx
Deception
Deceptions konquest mode was just too good and I got addicted to the puzzle mode 😅
Its nice to finally see someone who loved mkx as much as i did. I really liked the roster, character design and I loved the fast combat and even though im a casual mk player this was the mk i was best at. I went 15/0 on king of the hill and i felt like a god 😂. I love the dark horror aesthetic it had too, really suited mk. Had some of the best fatalities in my opinion too.
But mk9 will never be topped
I’d argue that mk1 is still worth playing for the single player aspect over 2 just because 2 is slightly rigged against the player in order to collect more coins. Mk1 was pretty fair on the other hand
Even in the German countryside in the 90s, you heard kids talk about MK1-3 at school, it was legendary. I even "hacked" the school library computer, installed the PC version of the games and wrote a batch menu so the other kids could play in recess lol. MK2 was my long time favorite until MK9 arrived, and to this day I think those two are the best.
as for the first place I strongly agree 9 is the goat fr
Trivia
Who is the one mk kharacter that has appeared in every mortal kombat game as a playable kharacter
Answer below
The answer is sub-zero congrats to those who got it
Good to see a new video man.
Never played MK1.
I agree with MK2, and that game also added my second favorite character in the series… Baraka. Also, it was the one that made me love Reptile and Shao Kahn.
UMK3 is a great balance in the 2D games. It plays as good as MK2 and is not as ludicrous with the difficulty like MKT.
I played MKT (only on the PS1), it is cool, but UMK3 was better, but AT LEAST MK Trilogy allowed you to play as OG Motaro, Shao Kahn, Goro, and Kintaro, and for some people… Noob and Rain (because most ports of UMK3 did not have them).
Never played The Sub-Zero game, Special Forces, nor MK4/Gold.
Deadly Alliance I have a soft spot for, because I played it so much when I was first introduced to the series.
Never played Tournament Edition.
Deception… is one of my favorites. Awesome Konquest, some good new characters (Shunjinko and Onaga in particular), awesoms new arenas, death traps, and Puzzle Kombat was cool. Best part was Chess Kombat, so damn addicting and fun.
Never played Unchained nor Shaolin Monks.
Mortal Kombat Armageddon I acknowledge is a flawed game.. but I love playing it. The huge roster works (especially playing as Onaga and crafting custom characters), the Konquest is solid, and Motor Kombat is fun. Flaws are the lack of fatalities and limited fighting styles, but that doesn’t quite annoy me. only thing that actually annoys about it is what they did to Motaro.
Armageddon was the last game I played, for I felt Armageddon was a good finale, and just didn’t care to pursue any more.
Speaking of that Kreate-A-Fighter… I used it to add in DBZ characters…
Vegeta, Goku, Frieza, Bardock, Nappa, and King Vegeta all found their way into Armageddon.
I absolutely love Deadly Alliance and Deception I miss the 3d era but I still love the netherrealm games
Definitelly agree with mk9, awesome, so fucking amazing
By far Mortal Kombat 9 is the best Mortal Kombat ever.
I used to play the hell outta these wherever they had arcade setups mostly pizza spots and shit like that as a kid. Then when I had Super Nintendo and could bring it home, Oh Boy lol trilogy on PlayStation is by far the one I played most.
Everybody got their own opinion for mortal kombat ranking system
I do genuinely agree the Ultimate MK3 is a GOATED fighting game. Especially for the time but honestly even to this day
UMK3 is possibly one of the greatest fighting games of all time imo lol
You spitting facts
MK TRILOGY is in my top 3 MK gamea ever. To me that’s top dog and the combos are easier. If you make it easier, there’s a Hidden mode where you can have automatic combos. I remember playing that in the late 90s having it hooked up to the stereo system at the time me and my friends going crazy.
How do you find the automatic combos i remember my cousin doing it on ps
@@giovannicoleman1315 I think it’s you hold the run button and another button at the same time in the main menu and that will bring out the hidden options. It’s been a long time I haven’t played it since it was out back then.
MK Tournament Edition is a impressive port for the GBA give it some love!
i was playing both deadly alliance and tournament edition, gameplay is no that but it looks very horrible, gba was supposed to have more hardware power than a snes, so it gets my eyes tired. But i believe they better than first mk on gba, mk advance is the worst port i've ever seen-
MKA was my first mk Game and I'm in the process of getting all the 3d Era games and haven't played MKDA or MKD
But mine top 5 is
#1 MK9
#2 MKA (Probably nostalgia but is just remember having more fun than the one below)
#3. MKX
#4. Mk Mythologies(Good story, Bi-Han isn't evil, & I just enjoyed it)
#5 MK11
That's all the mk games I've played besides for Mortal Kombat 4 gold but I don't remember playing it that much
I’m actually shocked mythologies is top 5! I get it though I think it’s a lot more fun then people think
@@WeebyENT my top 5 is scuffed because I've only played 6 mk game
@@P_Bd play deception!
@@WeebyENT ok
If you like fighters though I urge you to grab a sega Saturn it’s definitely the console to own if you want arcade style games at home.
If I'm assuming correctly, I think we fought in Fightcade less than a week ago. Why does that matter? I recorded a couple of our matches and uploaded them.
Definitely gotta do some more matches, my guy!
Edit: Psilocybin was my FC tag
Yep we totally did!! Haha it was fun!
My Ranking (No Spin-Offs)
11th MK Vs DC Universe
10th MK4
9th MK1
8th MK2
7th Armageddon
6th Deadly Alliance
5th MK3
4th MK11
3rd Deception
2nd MKX
1st MK9
I’d say MK1 is worth a try only for being the OG and to see the progress. I also really like mk11. I am a casual gamer in general and yeah I always get my ass handed to me online, so the towers and the way they switch the variables makes it my favorite of the new era. MK9 though is legend as it’s better version of 1-3.
Based tierlist
Heavily disagree with that MK1 arcade take. While the gameplay was improved in the sequels, it's still a fun game with its own unique charm. The sound design and atmosphere are great and landing hits is satisfying, even if it's a bit slow. I say this as someone who regularly plays UMK3 and MK2.
i have played mortal kombat game of mk9 to mk10 to mk11
i love each game as a hold
i think that the next game to do more that is all
The original the only thing that made me mad Liu kangs fatality wasn’t fatal
Story Mode for MK11 was good although I hated what they did to Kotal. And as for character endings easily Jax is my favorite....
Aw yes, Retkonbat. the story was ass they had to make kronika dumb as a rock so the heros could have a chance. And they Retconed many characters because of the bad writing
Yep, Mortal Kombat 2011 is the best.
The klassics are untouchable. You can't put that low MK1 and 3. Clearly you didn't grow up with those games.
The old mk games forced you to fight mk11 took the street fighter approach where everyone gets a turn to play they even made the meter automatic in old mk if you didn't try to fight you got steamrolled you didn't get meter or anything
Armageddon is #3 after Mkx and Shaolin Monks imo🔥
Hmm what do you like about Armageddon that makes it top 3? I have always preferred deception
For me mk9 is the peak of this franchise.
Anything after that was not a as perfect as mk9.
Mk2 when it came out at the arcade was lit. It would be a line of people with our pockets full of quarters. Shit talking in person side by side lol. It was either MK2 or Street Fighter II.
I'm sorry but Mortal Kombat Trilogy is the best MK game ever made
It’s really good, but not my favoritee
They should have skipped and went to trilogy like i always say
My Favourite Game From Every Era:
2d Era: U MK3
3d Era: MK Deception
NRS Era: MKX
UMK3 Smoke bombs the world to shit is still hilarious.
Only problem with Deception was the arcade tower wasn’t long enough. Felt like it was 5-6 fights then boss fight. Also matches would be over too quick with the stage fatalities. Unlocking Lui Kang in this game was a MISSION. And then getting his alt costume was even more time consuming waiting till 12am on a Friday or some ish. Liked the game but fights were too short and didn’t like the breakable environments. Did appreciate the return of teleports and uppercuts, though.
"A lot of people hate this game"
Mk11 is considered a borderline masterpiece...
by who exactly…? Lmao. MK 11 is not well liked among mk fans due to the gameplay.
Mk 11 is not a master piece at all the gameplay is a complete downgrade compared to X and 9
@@WeebyENT higher review scores and maintains strong user reviews
@@WeebyENTWell, that's not true for all MK fans. I, for example, am a hardcore fan of the franchise, I grew up with MK1, MK2 and I MK3. And I can definitely say MK11 for me is absolutely amazing. The mere amount of content in this game, for example, is just breathtaking - just think about the vast variety of costumization options, the almost FOUR HUNDRED brutalities, etc. But it's not only about quantity. Do you think you will ever see a more perfect representation of Shang Tsung, Sheeva or Fujin, for example? I suspect you won't . In my opinion, this is the MK game in which the creators invested the most love and thought and it pains me to read that it's not liked by the fans. I agree that the craziness of MKX is more entertaining to watch, but the slower pace alone does not mean a game is worse.
@@gogoyubari5948 Here's the thing, You are mentioning everything EXCEPT gameplay lol. The most important part of a video game. In the video, I very clearly state that as a package MK11 can't be beat. It hits literally every single except gameplay. Yes, all of the other stuff is great, but in a video GAME, the gameplay has to be fun also. You need a balance of both of these things. MK11 fundamentally is boring to play. Defensive mechanics in that game ruin it.
loved the list! MK9 is supreme. And yes, I also think MK11 is a mediocre game.
Trilogy is a must play
You think so?
@@WeebyENT Definitely for all it's characters and stages plus friendships, animalitys, two fatalities and decent combos and specials for each character
MK1 not worth my time? WHAT??!
MK1, MK2, MK3 & shaolin monks are my top 4 ❤
