He sounded like he was offended for Nightwolf's portrayal as a Native American. I can tell you I don't find any bit of it offending, since I am one. I'm more happy we get a character that represents us. He's the badass, as Johnny Cage calls him, we deserved.
Funny how we use (Native) American Indian imagery without controversy yet in New Zealand they use Maori imagery everywhere. Haka dance before a sporting event as an example.

After I saw that he put fucking Kintaro, Jarek and Hotaru above Cyrax, Sektor, Quan Chi, Night Wolf, Kabal and Ermac, I stopped taking the video seriously. Also why is Erron Black at #4. Like he isn't a bad character but not exactly a great one.. Certainly not very original in the day and age he was created. He's a massive cliché. And he has pretty much no depth to his character, whatsoever. Swear he's just there to look cool and act like he doesn't care about anything. (He does however play really well.) But as a character I'd personally rank him around the upper mid section of this list and that's simply for not being terrible, like a good a third of MK characters - if we're going to be real.

Kabal is one of the best characters ever!! His backstory is dark and interesting, his fatalities (excluding MK 3) are sadistic AF, and his moves and combos make short work any opponent!!! I love you guys, but Kabal deserves a better spot on the list!!!

I love the idea of Ashrah. A demon who came into contact with a holy blade that cleansed her inherent evil. But she's not happy about it and considers herself cursed seeking a way to get rid of the blade. That's a really cool idea for an anti-hero character that I'd enjoy seeing revisited at some point.
I always felt like Kira had a lot of potential. A female member of the black dragon sounds awesome. Unfortunetly they gave her a comibination of Kano & Sonya's movelist with a lazy character design. I hope they revamp this character for a later installment and do her justice because the concept is great.

That character was killed by Scorpion during the events of the first game, while his younger brother took over the Sub-Zero mantle from the second game onward. Noob is a reincarnated spectre in the same way Hanzo Hasashi was reincarnated as Scorpion.

They're also lean into the darker aspects of their personalities, effectively becoming a husk or "shadow" of their former selves. A Spectre is an undead person with new abilities that they never had with no trade required. They gain hell/fire themed abilities like Scorpions hellport and several of his most popular fire moves. They keep their personalities, and when revived, can keep their powers. Not to mention that they keep their human appearance. Spectres are also more independent of their creators
Towards the end of the list is Kabal who he said had a"lukewarm reaction" from fans and no one played him, then like 20 characters higher he ranks Li Mei, Kung Jin and chameleon. They really should have got someone that was actually familiar with the game to do this. This "list" was absolutely embarrassing.
This list is so insane I actually did my own research to see if I was out of touch and I turned out to be totally right. Kabal is a favorite by all MK tournament players in MK3! I didn't know this until just now, because I thought maybe I was the one on crack! Whoever made this video is Gen Z turned up to 11. They might not have been alive during MK3.

Why make a list ranking characters in an IP that you clearly have disdain for? Trying so hard to be snarky, irreverent and funny, it just falls totally flat. And there’s no logic to the rankings-the Cassie explanation would make you think she’s one of the worst of the franchise, yet she’s ranked above series mainstays whose explanations are far more positive.

TripleJump clearly did not do enough research on Mortal Kombat before making this video. Not only did they miss the fact that two Sub-Zeros had been a thing since MK2 but failed to mention MK Tournament Edition and MK Unchained which are mainline games. Well, forgive me for defending this abysmal list, but I always kinda felt like Takeda was just a reskinned Mavado. Think about it. If you put Mavado in the MKX system, how would he play? Just replace the Shirai Ryu variation with a Hooksword variation.

Kabal is one of the best characters ever!! His backstory is dark and interesting, his fatalities (excluding MK 3) are sadistic AF, and his moves and combos make short work any opponent!!! I love you guys, but Kabal deserves a better spot on the list!!!

I love the idea of Ashrah. A demon who came into contact with a holy blade that cleansed her inherent evil. But she's not happy about it and considers herself cursed seeking a way to get rid of the blade. That's a really cool idea for an anti-hero character that I'd enjoy seeing revisited at some point.

I always felt like Kira had a lot of potential. A female member of the black dragon sounds awesome. Unfortunetly they gave her a comibination of Kano & Sonya's movelist with a lazy character design. I hope they revamp this character for a later installment and do her justice because the concept is great.

Towards the end of the list is Kabal who he said had a"lukewarm reaction" from fans and no one played him, then like 20 characters higher he ranks Li Mei, Kung Jin and chameleon. They really should have got someone that was actually familiar with the game to do this. This "list" was absolutely embarrassing.
This list is so insane I actually did my own research to see if I was out of touch and I turned out to be totally right. Kabal is a favorite by all MK tournament players in MK3! I didn't know this until just now, because I thought maybe I was the one on crack! Whoever made this video is Gen Z turned up to 11. They might not have been alive during MK3.

TripleJump clearly did not do enough research on Mortal Kombat before making this video. Not only did they miss the fact that two Sub-Zeros had been a thing since MK2 but failed to mention MK Tournament Edition and MK Unchained which are mainline games. MKvsDC is also a mainline game despite being a crossover title. I knew the ranking list would be awful the moment I saw Nightwolf in the bottom 20.
